Keeping it real
Hey everyone. After a few hours of deliberation, I have decided to re-open the HABOTN for business. I have added an IP tracker to the site -- you won't notice it -- which will allow me to identify troublesome posters and handle them appropriately.
I can't believe that I now must spend time playing Daddy and doling out punishments for adults who can't act like adults, but I guess that's where we are.
Thanks to the overwhelming majority of the HOTTIES who make this site great.
TURNER GILL GETS RICHER: Yes sir. Auburn's search for a new football coach may be over, but people are still making money off the endeavor. Gill, the U. Buffalo coach, has earned an undisclosed pay raise at Buffalo. In exchange, he has agreed to not seek alternative employment for a year.
PAT DYE ADDRESSES THE PEEPS: Tigers Unlimited members received an email this morning from Dye addressing the coaching search and Auburn's decision to hire Gene Chizik. Though he basically rips reporters, I think this is a worthwhile read for a few reasons.

Auburn Family,
I woke up this morning with Auburn on my mind, which is not surprising since I went to sleep with Auburn on my mind.
This is a very emotional time for the Auburn family. We all have our own opinions about what is best for Auburn and about the impact that Auburn decisions will have on our lives.
I don't expect everyone who reads this to agree with everything I say, but I just want you to know what I feel in my heart. This time of transition we are going through now reminds me of the time in 1981 when I walked into a room full of football players who had many questions and doubts about me coming in as the new head football coach.
Their frustration showed in their faces, and anxiety was in their eyes because of the unknown. I had a simple message: Whether they had come to Auburn for the right reasons or the wrong reasons, they had chosen to get their education and to play football at Auburn University, which would lay the foundation for the rest of their lives.
I told them that Auburn had chosen me and that I had chosen Auburn. I asked them as a team to be loyal to Auburn and to love Auburn. I said that I would also be loyal to Auburn and would love Auburn, and this loyalty and love would be our common ground which would lay the foundation that would serve Auburn for many years to come.
There is a lot of misinformation out there right now. The media people have their jobs to do and should have our respect for doing those jobs. But unless an individual has served as president of a major university, has been on the board of trustees of a major university, or has been athletic director or head football coach at a major university, it is hard to grasp how the people in these positions make the decisions that affect so many.
Unless you have walked in their shoes, you cannot begin to understand all that is involved in the process of making these decisions.
In addressing the current situation pertaining to our Athletic Director, Jay Jacobs, and his decision to hire Gene Chizik as our new Head Coach, I applaud all parties involved in the process for allowing Jay Jacobs to do his job.
Nobody is more qualified to make this decision than Jay. He is a true Auburn man to the bone and understands better than anybody the kind of man we need to lead our football program into the future. Gene Chizik is that man.
Because of the years I was involved in football – as a player, an assistant coach, a head coach, and as a part of teams that won championships at every level – I learned something about winning. One thing I am sure of is that I know what it takes to win. Teams where everyone played with the same heartbeat had a chance to win championships; teams that were not able to play like that never reached their full potential.
We don't need to worry about what is going on around us. We only need to be concerned about what is going on at Auburn. And being the best we can be at Auburn will take care of what is going on around us. We are an Auburn family. Let's see if we can play with the same heartbeat.
I know winning is important to the Auburn people. But so is character. Jay Jacobs has it and so does Gene Chizik. Now we'll see if they can win. They are our team. I like it. War Eagle.
Coach Pat Dye

BACK IN BUISNESS!!!
i feel like i've been through withdrawl
Me too wes, i was about to check in to Habotn withdrawl rehab
the Hotties > imposter Hotties. Long live the HABOTN, Jay G's monster child.
Who's yo daddy? Jay G
Thanks for the site and all the hard work.
I feel like I was in timeout in a corner.
I ALMOST DIED!
Man I was freakin... What's the latest word Jay?
Ok, I feel like I missed a lot. Something crazy must have happened for Jay to have allowed over 500 comments.
Thanks for your support, peops!
I feel like I'm back homw!!
We had a sports editor candidate in town and I was meeting with him. This stuff takes time ...
I firmly believe, if left up to it the Hotties would police themselves. True?
Who is the current SE at MA?
Sort of. I don't want the BANHAMMER falling without my approval.
We don't have an SE. He's been gone since ... mid November.
I mean that we would ostracize (sp) enough that they wouldn't come back.
I live in MTGY, who was the SE?
4Star DB, Reggie Taylor after Chizik stopped by his house in Prattville to visit with he and his mom:
"I loved him. I'm just ready to play for him."
Glad you let us back in JG. I can breathe again. Thanks for going the extra mile to keep to dirtbags out!
Glad to have things back up and running.
Reggie Taylor is a 2 star on Scout and a 4 star on Rivals. Talk about difference of opinion.
Chizik seems to be working his butt off, so that's a positive.
mdaniel, you make a good point and I have seen this happen. At one point a while back we had that happen. Some kid was attempting to get me into a personal attack contest. The other hotties did a wonderful job of letting them no what is acceptable and isn't acceptable here.
Monica;
Was he a de-committ?
Also any work on Johnny Farms in Perry Ga.?
barkley, I find that Scout typically has fewer high star athletes. They tend to be more picky.
Trajedy of the commons
No, Reggie Taylor never de-committed.
TB - I don't believe he was a decommit - I don't see him listed as one on Rivals. I'll check on Johnny Farms.
I do love how Chizik seems to be recruiting his butt off.
Chizik also had a phone call with Tana Patrick (uncommitted Rivals 4*). It is very refreshing to see the Head coach working the recruiting trail.
We can just code red any unruly posters
Jay; I will ask again. Are there any legs to the Neil Calloway story that appeared on ABC33/40 last night in Bammerham?
Tana Patrick would be nice, but he is probably driving a crimson escalade
The last thing I see on Johnnie Farms is that he switched his verbal commit from South Carolina to UNC on 11/24/08.
I hope the big nasty O-line recruits start pouring in since we seem to be ditching the Sally Finesse Offense
I heard that but someone reported last night that the plane was there and Chiz was visiting him. So I was just trying to find out if any body new anything.
Escalades are so last year, I think I saw Tana in a Prius. The REC loves UAT, but I hear they are green.
Lolley coached Tana's brother in high school and has been talking Chizik up to Tana.
I do believe mentioned we would hear something on staff by tomorrow, although it seems a little quick to me.
We need to stomp on Saban's neck with that steel toed boot in recruiting. Go getum Chiz!
Somewhere Jay was suppose to appear in my last comment. Bad fingers. Bad bad fingers.
wow,i am soooo out of the loop. didn't know HABOTN was off-line. stupid public school system monitoring. Glad its back now. I guess now JGT can seek us out through our IP and zone in on our homes...YIKES!! ;)
Reggie Taylor should be a star under Chizik. He is not that tall but he is very fast with good cover skills
One of Farms' high school coaches told me he wanted to commit to Bama 3 months ago but they told him they were full at his position. Then he committed to soCarolina then to UNC. Spurrier just came to PErry to ask him to rethink and at least visit Columbia. Farms told him no. I don't think he is an option.
I am just glad this is back. The web without HABOTN is like a ham sandwich without swiss chess. Oh, you can substitute other cheeses, but it just isn't the same.
You gotta admire the effort so far. Go Team Chizik Go!
Mon,
You said Chizik went to Taylor's house in Prattville? He played for Peach County in Georgia. Has he moved?
Reggie Taylor should be very successful since every time I look at his name, I read Reggie Torbor.
I think someone flew to see Johnnie Farms recently as well
Whew! I was feeling so sad in there in my room! Can we all go out and play now Daddy Jay?
I kid ... but hopefully we can avoid this in the future huh?
AU Big Cat,
Taylor still has a lot of work to do to qualify, according to someone who works there. I was told he will probably have a tougher time qualifying than Slaughter did.
does anyone know if Barkley donates to AU and if so, I wonder if he will still do so after his comments. Jay, ever meet the guy? Jerk? Nice guy?
I hope he doesn't waste any more time with Cotton. The kid from Leroy has potential and actually wants to play for Auburn.
I think he went to Georgia before the press conference. He went to Prattville after.
Pat Dye's letter reminds me of this really filthy joke I read this morning.
This part in particular stands out:
"But unless an individual has served as president of a major university, has been on the board of trustees of a major university, or has been athletic director or head football coach at a major university, it is hard to grasp how the people in these positions make the decisions that affect so many."
If you can stomach the language and the mental imagery, you be the judge, but it reminded me of an Auburn twist on The Aristocrats
Is it me, or is anyone less than moved by Dye's letter?
P.s. I read - or tried to - his autobiography "In the Arena." Either he's taken several Eng 101 classes since then, or this correspondence was ghost-written!
Actually, I have met Sir Charles and he is a very nice guy. Went out of his way to be nice to me.
For what it's worth. I still think he likes to talk in order to hear himself talk. It's not a new thing. He did it as a player too. It entertains him to get things stirred up.
You know, the last few hours were kinda like getting separated from your parents at the mall, or Six Flags or something like that.
Keith - Sorry about that. Chizik's first stop was in Prattville - home of Alex Page and Zach Brownell. The next paragraph talks about his visit with Taylor of Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Ga.
Qualifying? Geez, it really makes sad/upset these kids cannot qualify. I taught/coached high school and the stuff they need to know to qualify is, let me phrase this.... minimal. Most can be learned by osmosis, just by being in class, not sent off to special tutoring from an "academic coach", which some schools do for certain students. I am not accusing any school of cheating or anything of the like, please comprehend that.
IMO, any kid who does not have a severe learning disability should be able to qualify academically for college.
Just sayin...
thanks Phred...
Bear ... my wife is a psychometrist ... which means she tests kids for placement in special ed ... the teams at the public schools in the Gump are full of kids that she's tested through the years. If they scored a TD, made a 3-pointer at the buzzer, or, sadly, shot someone, there's a good chance she tested them. It's just a sad fact of life.
Did I miss the banhammer being lain today?
any word on an OC? is CPR staying?
the AU Beat writers didn't have much to offer today.
Keep on rockin and rollin JGT. you are...the man
I attended a highschool where some of my classmates were in the single digits on the ACT. I don't understand how, but that is how it was. Some kids are just not into school or something.
Boy I'm glad Pat Dye is happy with Chizik. Turns out we werent looking for an elite coach but a sitter for Paw-Paw. Now he and "grandson" Jimmy Yellawood can roam the sidelines again and play coach. Glad they got "their" football team back.
Jet - yeah been there, seen that, man... its just the troof.
Sadly, kids are born and raised everyday in homes where the parent(s)/grandparent(s) don't know how to read, isn't there because they're working or worse.
Illiteracy begets illiteracy. Our system isn't built to catch people up. It's built to herd them through.
Plenty of kids who are not smart at all.
I am actually looking forward to seeing more of a Pat Dye attitude on the football team. Dye developed a lot of big uglies. Some of his linebackers could tackle small tailbacks with the power of a mean stare.
Hotties,
Any word on the Advertiser Sports Editor search?
I saw that the Advertiser plane was spotted in Wichita Falls. I hope Jay G doesn't hire the Times Record SE. He let 3 grammatical errors slip through on Sunday.
The guy in Richmond has a much better record.
I know he was on the plane for some of the interviews, but maybe we can sneak Q back into the lineup for a game or two.
I understand that Phillip Marshall is driving the search for the new sports editor.
Seeker, the problem I have is kids that aren't very smart getting high school diplomas. If a high school diploma was harder to get, kids would work harder.
Danny, I've sentenced kids younger than you to the electric chair. Didn't want to do it. Felt like I owed it to them.
Sadly they just push kids through the system.
I don't think Neil Callaway is going to be The Guy, hiring a head coach as a coordinator role at your school isn't a terrible idea on face.
Great line Jet
I love the guy in Richmond.
And the guy who used to be in Baton Rouge.
Another coach gets paid.
JoPa gets 3 yr extension at Penn St.
Jay G ... better to bring back Pat Sullivan than Callaway. Or Watson Brown, if you are looking for a consigliere type.
I'm not endorsing this ... just exploring the line of thought.
Seems they are going younger at Penn St.
Kirk - I think Jay G. said CPR was out pre-Tuberville.
Why aren't you the SE Jay G.? Do we get to nominate candidates? If so, I'll throw your hat in the ring.
Jay G, if he's smart, doesn't want to be sports editor.
I don't know the situation but I'm guessing not being in tight enough with the Pat Dye equivalent at the advertiser would explain it.
Nice to be back!
Heard this Callaway rumor on the radio on the way home - gag.
Where is Callaway now?
Hey Jay, would you mind please writing a little note to my employer explaining why I was so productive this afternoon? I just don't want him to get used to it.
When did for entertainment purposes only sports blogs get so serious? I was in here as the temp was rising and just had to laugh. We all come here to have a good time and talk all things AU....(((GROUP HUG)))
He's the HC at UAB.
Why do people dislike Callaway? Wasn't he in on about 4 SEC championships?
What's that, a center for ants?
I think Neil's a good OL coach ... not sure about his OC-worthiness.
Also had the DUI issue while at UGA. Not saying that disqualifies.
If you think 5-19 sets off alarms, put a spoonful of Callaway on top of it, and see what happens.
As a player and coach, Neil Calloway has 12 SEC championship rings. Most recently in 2002 and 2005 at Georgia as OC. This might not be exactly right, but pretty close to fact.
On the other hand, he didn't call plays at UGA. Once he was gone, they let Bobo call plays. I don't think thats a great sign.
Well, after reading what Pat says, that is good enough for me. I still think he has got a mean streak in him. But darn it, I just love Coach Dye.
Everytime someone has something negative to say about Coach Dye, I hit that youtube video of him. The only Auburn people that seem to be critical of Coach Dye are the younger ones who have no idea about what Coach accomplished.
MERRY CHIZMAS, JET! bless us everyone.
Hey Mon, any other news from the recruiting front? I enjoyed reading your updates on some of the others. Good to know coach is out there working hard.

Denny, I love Coach Dye, too.
Our best coach. No question. Tuberville stands on Dye's shoulders.
sorry for the multi post
Will, I thought you were Johnny Three Times.
Denny,
I couldn't agree more. I was raised on Auburn football by CPD, and I think some folks (maybe the ones born after say 1983) don't realize the disparity that existed between AU and UA before Dye arrived.
I was just going to ask you if you were posting from the bottom of a well. You seem to have an echo ... echo ... echo.
My hope is that the winter/spring of 2009 conjures up images of 1981 when Auburn football was re-made.
Hey Guys,
First post but have been following Jay G since you could only post comments on his articles on the paper's website.
Guess we're getting over the mad-on over the HC hire but the OC hire needs to be rock solid.
I like that, that, that, Phred.....Phred.....Phred.
Said it somewhere else, but the No. 1 priority to me is Recruitin' Rodney.
Then, let's worry about the OC. We can tell the kids we'll be balanced, blah, blah, blah.
Yes,
Bringing RG back home would be huge. Pair that up with a solid OC hire and suddenly things look much more positive than they did Sat night.
I'm on the RG wagon myself.
Denny,
I'm a young guy and I have all the affection in the world for what Dye did and I've often stated he is the best coach in Auburn's history given his accomplishments.
But my older brother (Eddie4AU) worked with team during the Bowden years and while he is certainly aware of what Dye accomplished, he also saw some things from Dye that he was not crazy about. He does think that Dye wields far too much power in the Auburn athletic department, and if that is indeed true, then I have to agree with him that that is wrong if Dye does so.
I still respect the guy a ton for what he did, winning four SEC championships, putting us back on an even playing surface with Bama and getting the 1989 Bama game to come to Auburn. But there is also the 'paying the players' stigma. That was just plain wrong.
I think those are some of the complaints that people have with Dye.
Welcome to the HABOTN weagle83.
Back to the HABOTN we all love... so great to see, thanks JGT
Will's wife calls him Johnny Three Seconds
The payin the players stigma is way overblown, way overblown. The only power Coach Dye now wields is that which is willingly given to him. In regards to Coach Bowden, I just can't say anything positive, it is just not there.
If people defer to Coach Dye, it is because they choose to. He knows a thing or two about Auburn football.
Good catch Harrison. Nice hustle.
thanks. I was dying to get that out there
I don't think you guys would like Callaway.
Thanks for all your hard work Jay. Us HOTTIES appreciate it.
Will, Will, Will
Chizik and Lolley talked with Onterrio McCalebb today.
McCalebb felt good about the talk. Chizik assured him they would definitely be running the ball and McCalebb said he like the sound of Chizik - he seems like a fiery-type guy.
As one who grew up watching Dye coach, I will always love what he did to establish Auburn as a top-level school. That being said, doing a great job coaching and building a program shouldn't qualify you to have a hand in choosing the coaches who follow you. Just my opinion, and I loved coach Dye.
I'd be very interested to know what was able to shut down the MIGHTY HABOTN? I didn't know Jay had a kryptonite...
Jay-As usual thanks for your hard work man...
i've heard in the past that RG is quite the recruiter, almost TOO good. anything to that?
Yeah, Denny, I did not mean to say that my brother is any great affection for Bowden. That's just when he worked there except for his last year there which was Tuberville's first. He and I can't stand Bowden any more than most Auburn fans.
Objective question here, though. How is the paying the players thing blown out of proportion? What am I missing there?
I respectfully disagree, I am sure Coach Dye doesn't demand a say or feel he is entitled, but I would say that building a program and being a successful coach would indeed qualify someone to know a thing or two about picking a coach. What would qualify someone to have a say about a possible football coach? Coach Dye has far better credentials than anyone I know of.
I am a Bama fan that has followed this site all year. I am extremely impressed by the decorum and politeness shown to friend and foe.
You guys are to be commended.
Happy we are back on the winning side this year; but, with your hire, I expect Auburn to get back to great defense and a strong ground based attack.
I look forward to many exciting battles that will feature two well coached squads.
depressedAUfan, I agree totally.
Is this like Candyman...post three times for a response?
THe keepin' it down home cuz, situation was a player needed money for food for his wife and child. That is the biggest stigma that I know of.
As far as Dye is concerned I can't help but get chill bumps every time I hear that tribute they did on D&B during the iron bowl. I am one of the younger fans but I have watched alot of the old games. I respect the man. He bleeds orange and blue..does he have too much of a hand in AU? I don't know. Much much like chizik I have no control over it so good luck Coach Dye..WAR EAGLE..man I love orange and blue koolaid..almost more than beer..almost
and yes they make multi colored kool aid..Duh...
Thanks Denny, I'll have to ask my brother what he knows about the situation.
Denny, was the player you are speaking about Ramsey?
That's correct, Wes. ;-)
you tube has the ramsey conversations and the 60 minutes story, as my bama loving dad pointed out to me
Mike! What took you so long to post on the blog?
Ahhh a bama loving dad - there's a piece of the puzzle...
he did graduate from bama, my uncle is way worse.
Mike - welcome. You can sit next to FSJ who also is a bama fan. He is probably excited that there is 1 more on the BOT.
I bet Faker already knew about Mike...
Will,
You are more fun to pick on than should be legal!! Face it you're going blind, you can't help it!
Steve,
Is that you're real picture? I think i might have known yoy MANY years ago. I think you sold me a bong. Ha!
Coach Dye should be respected as any elderly person should be respected. However, as an '88 Auburn graduate, the scandal and subsequent probation created under Dye's watch still burns me up.
And it was more than a little grocery money.
I just got on here the last week or two and enjoyed all of the post and jay thanks for the hard work.
Welcome BigDaddy.
hee hee
Anyone see Josh Moon on ESPN today?? He did a great job and earned some cred in my book. Great job, josh.
Finescum on the other hand wouldn't name names when asked by bob ley who was racist. He curred , for those of you who knows what that means. Nice to see that on national tv.
I thought the whole CC thing today was a joke, he really takin a stab at MR s ? Ridiculous. Should this be something that goes unmentioned?
Anyhow, big ups to Josh Moon.
"bigdaddy"...if i had a nickel for every time someone called me....nevermind.
Does Finebaum even believe what he says?
wes you got me there
BinOBA,
Please share, we have all heard about it but no one knows the real story. Whatever happened it ticked off JG something fierce.
Tell us what was said!!
Mike,
Welcome to the HABOTN...
I think the dispute between Mr. S and CC is the lead story on WSFA. They are blaming the whole sordid event on WILL.
BinOBA - It has been handled by the Jay Master.
Tyronne Green only Auburn senior to make senior bowl. is that an indication of anything?
Man I hate it when people use initials and other catch phrases. I guess I am not hip to that kind of jive talk that goes on.
My point about Coach Dye is that to dismiss everything good he did over the 60 minutes stuff and eric ramsey is giving a great coach short shrift for his achievements. If that were the case, then the stuff that bryant got away with over the years should have the bammers not even referencing him anymore.
Even Coach Wooden is not tainted. There were issues about him turning a blind eye to a certain booster who made sure that players were taken care of. He didn't court this booster or anything like that, but he sure didn't go out of his way to dissuade players from going to this guys house for Thanksgiving dinner and things like that.
Denny, I did not mean to imply that Coach Dye was not qualified to know a good coach. I just don't think it is in the program's long-term interest to have a former coach always helping DECIDE who the new coach is. The game changes and evolves, and it is good to get new blood and a fresh perspective on things. I certainly understand your argument otherwise.
Darn - I missed Josh Moon on ESPN! :-(
got it on tivo, i'll transcribe for ya, you wanna know what finescum said or josh mooon?
When on ESPN? SportsCenter or some other show?
outside the lines with bob ley, probably up on the espn site.
I want the video. :-) If you can't give me that I'll take the Josh transcript. Thank you for offering.
Mon, off topic, but I have the toys for tots number: 7741 toys this year.
Oh I agree, I think it the PTB that seek Dye out. He is, of course, more than willing to offer his advice.
Can't we all just agree to love Auburn and to hate all things bammer. I know I sure do.

Josh Moon on ESPN :-)

Yes, no one can deny that Dye is/was an excellent coach, but like it or not the joke about Auburn football had been that it's history was of a cheating program and Dye was certainly aware of that but put a player and himself above the school and thus tarnished the schools good name.
well.....Merrry Christmas.
I have a question: Why is it that old guys let their eyebrows just grow unchecked? Same with hair in the ears and nose?
Plantation Mentality and JJ asking Lowder to use the restroom.
So sayeth the Fbomb.
JHC!!! Holy Cow! That is AWESOME! Do you live in a big area? That's incredible. Good work!
Bin- I'm so glad you brought up that ESPN appearance. Glad I got to see that. They all did a great job.
Yeah, JM got some street cred from me today. Finescum was the weasel he always is. Moon>Finescum, but yall knew that, difference is it was on TV today.
Agree to hate Bama Denny. I have questions about Chizik, but if push comes to shove he can always kick Nicky's ass for fun. War Eagle!!!
Having lived out of the state of Alabama from 76 until 98, I can tell you that the only people who joke about Auburn football are bammer fans. The reputation that Auburn pays its players doesn't extend much out of the state of Alabama. Suffice it to say, unfortunately, if you think that is Auburns rep, then you have fallen prey to bammer propaganda. For every instance of what we might think is big, there are bigger instances of payola in college athletics that grabs the national spotlight and that stays in the national consciousness. Whether it is $100 dollar handshakes and money falling out of Emory bags at UK, Logan Young getting indicted and found guilty in Federal Court, Reggie Bush at USC, Point Shaving at Tulane, SMU and the death penalty, the list goes on. Truth be known, bryant regularly ratted on Auburn to the NCAA while the same body looked the other way while huge amounts of money were being paid to players.
Heck, in the 50's UK had to not play any games for any teams due to paying players and pointshaving. Some of those players were barred from the NBA.
Point being, what we think is a big deal, isn't.
Same goes for Bammer fans thinking the NCAA picks on them. Most of the country think that they are just getting what is due.
Bin - What was wrong with what Fbaum said?
Off Topic: I love Anthony Bourdain.
I like Anthony Bourdain. I don;t love him, I leave that for chicks like you.
Nooooooo reservations.
I haven't read all the post today but have you guys seen this?http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a78/nursetpd/Auburn/Barner-Loafered.gif
Sorry if it has already been posted.
Chizik looks like he could twist Little Nicky's head off with his thumb and forefinger.
I just liked how he was so bulldog in his "there's racism there for sure" and when bob asked for names he says "well take your pick", i think lowder big boyed him and finescum knew not to ruffle those feathers. Seemed to take an about face in tone. That was my first impression anyhow, maybe i should watch again.

I'm dying to know what's happening on the Asst. Coach front...anybody have any clues?
All quiet on the assistant coaching front.
yeah denny, i wish we had someone to gush over, time will tell.
Waiting till dead period, I would imagine.
has the new no reservations season started?
welcome back everybody. Jay thanks for running a great blog.
Jet - why?
Harrison - no - Early january
I posed this idea yesterday but everybody was to busy gettin' down ... Does anybody else think Jay Jay looks, talks, and acts like Housel's love child. I keep waiting for him to break out in a story ... "it was like the day back in 1989, when they said they would never come ..."
Jet - If you will email me I will send you my home address so you can mail my gift from Punta Clara's Kitchen.
He needs the time on the road to talk to the recruits ... when he can't, he'll work on staff.
Time management.
we almost went to dinner at the wash house, then made another choice ... went to panini pete's -- as seen on Food Network -- for lunch one day.
Had crabmeat omelet and cheese grits at the Grand ... which might be my last meal request before my death sentence is carried out.
ummmm what does any of that have to do with my gift from Punta Clara's?
making ... didn't ... interesting ... get ... conversation ... you ... with ... anything
On the coaching and recruiting front: I think he needs to be out recruiting for sure, but he also needs to be getting his guys in place, bec. they will be a critical selling point to recruits. And we need to establish a direction for the style of O we will run. I don't think recruiting guys on D will be an issue right now, but guys on O could be a problem.
Monica,
The polliwogs are my favorite from Punta Clara Kitchen!
only because I have the super duper top secret habotn decoder ring was i able to figure that out!
:-(
Klaus - you just made my eyes roll back in my head...
mercy
Okay, so he's growing on me a little already. We need some hustle and he seems to have some.
I presume once the dead period begins, he'll be an interviewing fool.
