Some legit football news ... sort of.
Never mind that it was snowing in Auburn yesterday and basketball season is in full swing.
We've got football news.
Defensive end Antonio Coleman has been named to the Lombardi Award Watch List for the 2009 season. Yep, the one that starts six months from now. The Rotary Club of Houston generated this list based on returning players who populated All-American or All-Conference lists.
Anyway, Coleman's junior season included 46 tackles, a team-high six sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. He was named the SEC's Defensive Lineman of the Week following Auburn's 14-12 victory over Tennessee on Sept. 27.
Full disclosure: I'm a Lombardi Award voter.

Monica, you have mail.
I have never heard of it either, scottie b. I didn't know there was one in Bham.
I've decided I prefer homers on the radio. People who don't care one way or the other about Auburn or bama suck. Indifference = smarmy on the air.
And I'm pretty sure Doug just blew out vein. Goober.
Bama is going to have 15k folks at the game tonight. How many will leave after the halftime atrocity if they are losing?
I'm sure captain boxhead will show up when the puppets do in a few hours.
hoopie, they'll only be there for the halftime trophy presentation. it'll clear out after that. i'm sure most have forgotten what the ODK/Foy trophy looks like.
i'm feeling the hate......BEAT BAMA!
14,994
Thank you, Luv
me too, scottie
I wish Jet were feeling well enough to lead us through an afternoon of hatin'.
What time is the game tonight?
9et/8c on espn
I rooted for both teams when I was a student at AU. Many fellwo AU students understandably had a real problem with that. As I have matured, my hatred for the Criminal Tahd has grown.
Mon....please don't label me smarmy.
Harrison, thanks!
I can't even listen to call in radio shows. People make Harrison angry, and most of them are so dumb I wonder how they even pulled off the phone call. It's a good thing I am not dumb!!
Somebody say hate?
You think Uncle Fester can whip up some serious hate tonight for the boys?
This would be his biggest win, in my humble babbling.
Hoopie you're not on the air! You're safe.
Monica likes it when Harrison refers to himself in third person.
JET! Way to come through, Jet. He pulled himself up from his sickbed just to lead the hate brigade. You're a real Taylor Trooper.
What's wrong with Scottie B leading us? He's obviously got the hate flowing today.
Jet, you have a wonderful sense of me spewing hate/snarkiness over the internets. It's freaky
#1 Whatever Hamburger King you're referring to in B'ham is unrelated to the one in the gump. I assure you, and I have no doubt Miller and Jet will concur, you'll be hard pressed to find a better burger experience than you will at the gump Hamburger King.
#2 For those who missed out on Captain Boxhead, you truly missed a gem of a performance. If you ask really nicely I suppose it's possible that the link information would be provided again.
Captain Boxhead
Look at that, you didn't even have to ask.
You're a little intense, Gatiger.
Hamburger King is in Fungumpry.
It's health food.
is it just a fancy name for Burger King?
I think the place I went was Hamburger Heaven maybe?
Luv - I think we could auction our email conversations off to the highest bidder.
Mon....thanks!...I think.
We need to have them down by 20 at the half; just to shut their trailer-dwelling, mullet-wearing, bear-loving, birthright assuming, arrogant mouths.
Sen. Jet is in a weakened state....so we have to start the hate as best as possible.
i'm sure you meant "toothless mouths" hoopie
Monica, there is a Hamburger Heaven in Bham - two of them, actually. One in Irondale and one on 280 in Inverness.
Omni - I'm not a little anything. I'm a lot intense.
Once again, I sit corrected. Thank you, Gatiger.
Luv - You're exactly right. That was a yummy hamburger. Not as good as anything Gatiger has ever eaten, but I enjoyed it.
Calling Hamburger King "burger king" is an abomination! It is blasphemous is what it is!
Burger king, with its faux flame broiled toy burgers, is NOT Hamburger King!
Mon,
You are referring to Hamburger Heaven in B'ham, and, while tasty in its own right, cannot hold a candle to The King in the Gump!
gatiger- where is this "hamburger king"? i work in da gump and I don't want to miss out. If it is just Burger King, then i am super-disappointed
Miller - I apologize for even bringing it up. You can't even imagine how sorry I am.
I've only been to H.H. a couple of times and wasn't wowed by it - same goes with Milo's. I want to go to Five Guys, just haven't made it over there yet.

Here's how we'll settle this burger issue before it divides us all and tears HABOTN asunder. Since Miller has eaten at Hamburger King in the gump as recently as today, and since I believe he'll be in the B'ham area this weekend, I propose that he make it a point to eat at one of the aforementioned Hamburger Heaven locations there. Then, at his earliest opportunity he should report back his findings.
Agreed? Good. That's our plan then.
I really like five guys. It's perfectly greasy and super cheesey. I am also super creative.
You're forgiven Mon... HH in B'ham has good burgers.
Hamburger King is on Decatur Ave (street/blvd/whatever) downtown. Coming from Madison Ave it is on the left just before you get to I-85 (very small little place).
It looks as if Miller has already settled the issue. Gump's own Hamburger King is the ruler of all things burger related. Everyone else is just a pretender.
FWIW, Chris' in the gump is way better than the overrated Varsity.
WAAAAAAWWAAAAAAWAAAAA!
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive HATE Warning between now and 10:30 p.m. for all counties in HABOTN.
The NWS has reissued its HATE Warning from Jet toward UAT from now until hell freezes over.
Stay tuned for further HATE weather announcements.
Harrison, I've heard from several people that Five Guys' burgers are fabulous.
Here's how we'll settle the Hamburger King issue.
Hamburger King, the proprietorship of Pat and Gay Harrison of the Gump, is the official Hamburger King of Kings and Hamburger Lord of Lords.
All others are substandard, and probably run by puppets.
Luv ;-)
I've had a Five Guys burger and was underwhelmed. However, the best burger I've had lately came from Fat Patty's here in Huntington.
The very best burger I've ever had was made by my Greg.
I like the name Fat Patty's.
Does Greg marinate it in a secret marinade?
The Infidels better enjoy halftime, because that's all they get to enjoy tonight.
Furthermore, in the absence of Dr. H., I am going to give 'em a prescription:
A proctoscope using the trophy, to be administered next November.
Jet, that is a most-excellent idea, sir!
thanks for the luv of my hatin' PF.
looks like Jet is back and as hatin' as ever! anything to bring pain to those in tuscaloosa.....i'm all for it!
HATE! HATE! HATE!
Monica, too bad there's only one Fat Patty's. I'm looking at the website now...looks YUMMY! Which one did you get?
Hamburger King don't need no stinking web site.
HATE! HATE! HATE! reminds me of Chappell's "Playa Hata's Ball" is that where you were going with that?
I had a chili bacon cheeseburger at the Vortex in Atl this weeknd. A close 2nd was the Peanut butter-fried banana burger I almost got. Then i drank 100 beers

Sounds like I need to make a trip to Montgomery!
Everyone who needs to know already knows about Hamburger King so aboslutely no need for Pat to worry about Al Gore's innertubes. If you don't know, once you approach downtown gump, ask anyone you see and they can tell you where it is. Go there on a weekday, their service really stinks on the weekend. I mean, since they're closed and all. (unless that's changed in the last 4 years or so)
From Fox News ...
President Obama has signed the Jet Stimulus Package, which has overwhelming support except in Sodom and Gomorrah.
The first installment of the Jet Stimulus Package -- a cup of coffee - has been delivered.
nice Sensi.
I just got my stimulus package, 2 20 oz Vault Zeros and a Full Throttle Non-Carb...woot!
A peanut butter banana burger?
My guess is that Gay Harrison would remove her sawed off, double-barreled, 12 gauge and eject any buffoon that dared order that in the King.

Well, then, I guess I don't need to know about it.
you may want to hold on to those SeanZ. maybe toss it up around 6 or so. that way they'll be in full force for tip-off tonite!
Luv - I'm not sure what Greg does to those burgers. I know he uses Angus beef, but the rest is top secret. (that means I don't want to know or I might have to make them)
What is the name of that SNL character who always one-up's whatever the other person is saying?
well my plan is to have a long and sustained buzz throughout.
Mon- We call it the "that aint s**t" game. It's so much fun
Luv - don't get me wrong, the point being I believe their virtues have been well extolled here today so, no need for a website. If you're in the area on a weekday, you won't be disappointed if you make that trip.
Yes, that's it, Harrison. I'm still searching for the character. I'll find her.
Luv ... you are welcome to visit the King ... it's just old school.
It used to be located in a facility about 20 feet by 8 feet. About a dozen years ago, it was evicted by the law firm that owned the building.
Thankfully, the King found a suitable home, which has effectively appropriated the aromas and ambiance that the other place had.
And the burgers are as good as ever.
You can get burgers, ham sandwiches or hot dogs. All cooked on the griddle.
Chips, no fries, and canned soft drinks. They do sell milk, chocolate milk, Milo's tea and orange-ade. They also have chilled Snickers available.
You can get breakfast sandwiches as well. They are open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., I believe.
Luv - Greg and I get the Big Fat Patty and half it and we both still have some left over. If some strange twist of fate brings you to Huntington, I'll buy you one.
Jet, thanks for the info. What's wrong with old school?
Monica, awesome! I might have to take you up on that someday.
it's Kristin Wiig. The character has a regular name but i can't think of it
My clock says it's 2:5HATE.
Just a good time to remind each of you that it's time HATE BAMA.
Penelope
Kristen Wiig as Nancy Pelosi = very funny
that's a solid skit, but it's no "Debbie Downer"
Penelope = Gatiger
But I can't find a video of a skit. I LOVE Debbie Downer too.
Penelope in Traffic School
If I was that guy, I would have had to backfist her.
I have a feeling that Frankie Sullivan is going to want to go off on the Infidels.
I'd love to see him withdraw a sword, then decapitate Senario Hillman.
That would be my "Best Case Senario."
Inside the Actors Studio
Last one I promise. This one is for Cory Gun Show and Faker.
Inside the Cougar Den
Monica, I hate to say this because you already think less of me because I watch The Bachelor, but I'm just not a fan of SNL. I know, I'm probably in the minority here, but I just don't find it funny.
That guy from the Actor's Studio does bear an uncanny resemblance to Harrison, though!
he must be a handsome fellow.
I like certain characters and I don't know the last time I watched an actual SNL. However, someone always sends me the skits they know I'll like. It's ok for you not to like them. LOL
LOL I know it is.
I know I have a sense of humor, I just don't always find humor in what a lot of people think is funny. But, I do find Micheal, Harrison, TarHeel and Jet funny.
you know who's funny? That damned Sasquatch
well, that wasn't so funny...
alright, I'm outta here. I need to get in a nap before it's time to head to the gym for bootcamp.
War Damn Eagle and I HATE BAMA!!!
sorry
Hey gang! Busy day at work today. Sorry for not being a team player.
Did anyone ever watch the show "Joe Schmo"? Kristen Wiig was on that. Who knew she would wind up on SNL one day? By the way, Joe Schmo was one of the best shows ever.
LOL Dang Harrison! Luv burned you on the way out the door!
I think you're funny too and anyone who likes Will Ferrell is good people. Well, sometimes.
That damned Sasquatch stole those kids' lunches Harrison, and that wasn't funny one bit.
-An Auburn game in prime-time
-No work to take home tonight
-Half a handle of Chivas left from the weekend
Life (non-football life, that is) just doesn't get any better than this.
Joe Schmo was awesome. "WHAT IS GOING ON???" I actually felt for that guy.
Wiig's Vanessa Horsen commercials are priceless
SNL used to be funny. Now, notsomuch.
Do you guys ever watch "the whitest kids u know"?I think it's on IFC.
I never saw Joe Schmo, but i did the Mr. Show on HBO with David Cross and Bob Odenkirk
go ahead and kick me when I'm down Michael.
I think people have been saying, "SNL used to be funny," every year since 1980. Heck, I say it now also. The truth probably is that we just never will think it is as funny as when we were in middle school/high school/college, and the quality hasn't really changed all that much. I'll bet there are plenty of 12 year olds out there who think SNL is hilarious right now.
Ehyou,
Take work home?
You aren't supposed to take it home with you. Work stays at work and home stays at home. The two should never meet or mingle. It isn't healthy.
New thread up, peops.
Old thread down, animals.
They never experienced 'the gool ol days'.
Seriously though, it just isn't as well written as it used to be. The actors are still good, but the content isn't there. They get way too political also.
