Some legit football news ... sort of.

Never mind that it was snowing in Auburn yesterday and basketball season is in full swing.

We've got football news.

Defensive end Antonio Coleman has been named to the Lombardi Award Watch List for the 2009 season. Yep, the one that starts six months from now. The Rotary Club of Houston generated this list based on returning players who populated All-American or All-Conference lists.

Anyway, Coleman's junior season included 46 tackles, a team-high six sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. He was named the SEC's Defensive Lineman of the Week following Auburn's 14-12 victory over Tennessee on Sept. 27.

Full disclosure: I'm a Lombardi Award voter.

Don't get all hysterical: we don't have anything to worry about until he is on the Lombardi Award Warning List.

True enough Captain Boxhead. There's indeed a great deal of substance. And, not to be a copycat but I too like that you're not afraid to hit us with the in depth questions.

You're a credit to something.

I think Dear Leader has a lot more wins than me. I also think he purposefully doesn't try to win sometimes, whereas I always try to win. I probably get the most wins when I am hanging out at work late and no one else is watching.

As far as who is fastest if they both see a new post at the same time, I think no one can beat my nonsense posts.

Problems we've already encountered:

a.) They don't install over-the-air antennae. That's my problem, though I asked two different Dish Network people about this.

b.) To avoid a $5.99/mo. charge, you must have a hard-wired phone line near each receiver. I don't. That's a charge.

c.) They don't provide HDMI or component cables.

d.) More fun to come, I'm sure.

The Crip Walk is a dance originated in the early 1970s by the Crip Gang from Compton, a suburb of Los Angeles, California by Crip gang members. According to sociologists, its action carries with it connotations of Black pride and masculinity; "a performance that tends to be socially constructed as off limits to women, gay men, and those outside of ghetto-economics."

FYI...tickets to the men's game against LSU on Saturday are only 5 bucks. Also, they are having reduced price concessions.

The 1st 1,500 fans get free t-shirts from Coca-Cola and there is a post game shoot-around.

Bo Jackson's daughter is a freshmen at Auburn? Boy, I am getting old! Nice gesture he made to Nell and the ladies.

They were giving away t-shirts at the Women's game vs. UGA, but the line was all the way around the concourse. I like free stuff, but not that much!

How likely is it that we get a Chitty quarterback. I believe an offer is warranted for the comedic value alone. I felt similarly about Smelley.
