Summer reset
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of content here lately, but it's that time of year when almost nothing is going down at Auburn.
I plan to do some stuff with the various summer football functions -- voluntary workouts and prospect camps -- but we need more than than to get us into late July.
I can do scouting reports on Auburn's top 25 players or so. I'll probably run that beginning June 8th. That's sure to generate some commentary, but I'm still looking for ideas to supplement that.
So now it's on you, HOTTIES. What do you want to read?
THE BASEBALL CONUNDRUM: Your Auburn Tigers ended their regular season with a series win (2 to 1) against Alabama. The Tigers are 31-25 overall, 11-19 against Southeastern Conference teams.
Yuck, right?
The thing is: Auburn's RPI, the offical version from the NCAA, had John Pawlowski's team ranked No. 40 last week. The Tigers took two from Alabama and one from Georgia Southern since then. It's reasonable to assume Auburn will jump to No. 35 or so when the new numbers are released tomorrow.
Will that be enough to make the NCAA Tournament?
I don't think so, either. That hasn't stopped some people from speculating that Auburn's season may resume next week.

201
USC deserves to get hammered, but they are USC, so they skate.
I always figured that Neuheisel got the UCLA job as a flipped special agent for the NCAA to help them to get USC.
NCAA also has no real proof that USC did anything wrong. It's a "We all know they did wrong stuff, but we can't do anything about it" situation.
Just like Nixon...
I don't buy that Michael. I believe they have gotten hard proof. Yahoo has dug up hard evidence about what was going on, but the NCAA is dragging their feets on this. There has got to be enough there for lack of institutional control. I blame the NCAA for this crap.
Per their policy, the NCAA cannot discipline a school for info that is in a newspaper or online article. No responsible organization does. If that is the way it worked, then those Duke lacrosse players would be in a jail. The NCAA has to do their own investigation.
Well it just so happens that Reggie Bush and all the main players refused to talk to the NCAA. So their investigation turned up nothing. I haven't really followed the story in a couple of years, but that is the way I remember it being stalled.
You will notice that in every other case, you have people like Philip Fulmer or Benedict Arnold...er.. I mean Eric Ramsey or even Bob Stoops (turning his own program in) telling NCAA investigators what they need to know. If everyone shuts up, the NCAA has no real power to make them talk.
So, what you are saying, Michael, is STOP SNITCHING!
Exactly. If everyone says, "Oh, snap! I didn't see nothing!" then no one gets in trouble.
Mon....I appreciate your blind confidence and support in my Bowling shirt modelling ability, but alas I'm 53 now and slipping. When I was 38 and ran 10k's, I might have been able to sport the Chizesque athletic bowling shirt look. The best I can do now would be the beer belly bowling shirt look and that ain't pretty.
Did the douchebag formerly known as Cobra Commander really type "suck it" on a blog? What is he, 5?
It's Chizik day and I didn't even know? Let the party begin! Thanks Salsa for introducing this celebration to us and promoting Auburn, the greatest university in Alabama.
New thread.
