State of the HABOTN
Hey everyone. Sorry I didn't update yesterday. News was light and I viewed a new movie at the cinema. It's called "Bruno." You may have heard of it.
Here's our first-ever State of the HABOTN address.
So what's next?
WHAT DO YOU LIKE AND DISLIKE ABOUT BLOG VIDEOS?
I started producing videos last summer with the goal being simple: Get footage out there. I just wanted them to work. I've got that down. Are there other features/elements you'd like to see in the videos?
Here's our first-ever State of the HABOTN address.
- I can't believe how faithful you all have been through the offseason. June 2009 visits were up 3,000% over June 2008, which is just nutty.
- We've had 1.7 million pageviews since Media Days 2008.
- The biggest traffic days in HABOTN history came on 12/3/08 (Tuberville resignation) and 2/4/09 (Signing Day). Interestingly, those two events drew almost the exactly same number of visitors: 23,098 and 24,193.
- HABOTN videos dominate. I don't track video views very closely, but those numbers easily set the Advertiser's pace. I like that.
- We added 10 members to the Ring of Fire. Each of them are adored and loved with a vigor rarely seen since the 1820s.
So what's next?
- Just today, I received a brand-new copy of Final Cut. That's the most powerful video-editing application created by Apple. It's one used by movie studios and television production companies. HABOTN videos are going to get more plush, but it'll take me a while to learn Final Cut's complexities.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 403 Newer› Newest»
and a fresh page!
Eddie, Sister Hazel had several good albums. why u hatin'?
Although Raycom is out of the bidness as a conveyor to the masses of SEC live pigskin masses, it still has utility in preparing us for the upcoming autumn.
Its series "Football Saturdays in the South" will be shown various local boob tube providers.
In da Gump, Fox 20 will bring it to you on Sunday mornings at 11 for six straight Sundays beginning the 19th. Go to www.secsports.com to find the affiliate near you.
I am neither affiliated with Raycom (though their headquarters are two floors above me) nor Fox 20. I do however have an abiding love for Auburn and hate for UAT.
Eddie,
I enjoyed the 1st 7 Mary 3 album, but they didn't do anything close to that afterward.
Sister Hazel I never really got into, but they had a couple of catchy tunes.
Did I hear that Dumpy Dave that used to call SEC games for LF and Raycom will be calling some of the ESPN games?
Scottie, I knew someone would say something about the Sister Hazel, I guess i Really enjoyed their debut CD "Somewhere More Familiar", but it took them like over 4 years to release their next album. They didn't capitalize on their momentum in my opinion, I guess is what I was trying to say.
Luv- Dave Neal has been banned / promoted to ESPN U.
If you don't have ESPN U yet, you better get it by football season. Several SEC games will be shown there.
We have Charter. I doubt they will let us add one channel.
Dave Neal wasn't bad. It was Dave Rowe and Dave Baker who were terrible.
By "Dave Neal wasn't bad", I do mean "Dave Neal was below average, but far better than the other two Dave's".
Dave Rowe will forever be known as the man who thinks it's a bad idea on third or fourth and inches to run the sneak.
As well as the guy who encouraged Auburn to intentionally take a safety in a game.
In fact, the Unintentional Comedy Scale should be renamed the "Rowe Scale" in his honor.
I called the Dave on the field "Ears." I couldn't stand the color guy. So, I guess Dave Neal was the best out of the three. But, like you said, WarEagleRK, that's not saying much.
Dave Rowe was among the worst color commentators ever and coined the "big man on big man" phrase that he used at least 4 times a game.
jet...
'Preciate the FSITS heads-up. That's a good, well produced show.

Sometimes an intentional safety is justifiable.
Sometimes an intentional safety can cost you a game...vs Miss State in 1999.
I'm not saying it can't cost you a game. But there are some tactical advantages in the right situation.
In 1999 I was still cheering for Sir Spurrier and the Gators. I know nothing of which you speak, RK.
We had the lead 17-3 most of the game, then State scored a TD to cut it to 17-10 with around 2 mins to go.
We got the ball deep in our own territory and lost yards, finally on 4th and long with around a minute left we took a safety to make it 17-12.
On the free kick, I believe it was Pig Prather who returned the ball 50 yards to set up State's winning TD.
It didn't help that Damon Duval missed 2 chip shot FG's in that game.
1. OK, storms in Alabama rattling throughout the state.
2. Monica has returned to Alabama for a visit.
Coincidence?
P.S. -- Intentional safeties should be like Bo Jackson -- once in a lifetime.
Sucks, sounds like one of those things that sounds good at the time, until the second half of the strategy backfires.
LOL, Jet.
Jet, my high school won 2 games my senior year by employing the intentional safety. We also had a future MLS kid as our punter, so it goes.
The intentional safety came close to beating us in 2000 vs Arkansas... we held on to win 21-19.
That was the 1st game that Fred Talley ate us alive, but we pulled it out, two years later we wouldn't be so lucky.
Speaking of, I swear I saw Fred Talley cut me off in traffic the other morning.
From my experience, I've never seen Fred Talley's face, it's only been a blur of 80 yard runs.
You know, we would have lost out there in 2003, except for the holding penalties and Matt Jones stopping to snort up the yard markers throughout the game.
i'll never forget hanging out at a sports bar in Knoxville on campus watching the AU-Ark game. i think i had 2 drinks for every Hogs score. needless to say it got ugly.
that would've been the 2001 game in Fayetteville. yup. not good.
Luv, I have ESPNU on Charter in Auburn, but I don't have one of the big sports packages. It is channel 302 here, not sure if it would be the same in your area.
We don't have a big sports package either. We do have directv and a small dish that we use for tailgaiting, so we may have to hook that up.
Scottie,
The hard thing about the 2001 game in Fayetteville was that we outgained them 460 to 220 in total yardage.
They scored 42 points on us with almost no yardage except for a long Matt Jones run.
That game was Carnell Williams breakout game where he claimed the starting job with 177 yards on just 19 carries.
I remember Tim Carter running by himself down the sidelines and fumbling out of nowhere.
RK- I can still see that Carter fumble in my mind. I swear a ghost must of have knocked it loose.
You guys have such great memories. I can never remember details about games.
There are many details that I wish I could forget about some games, but a far greater number that I'm glad I remember.
Luv, i admit i'm a big nerd when it comes to watching games. i watch them multiple times. well, up until last year. i took 2008 off from that.
I wish I had a Tivo/DVR dedicated to my favorite games.
Speaking of Arkansas games, it's hard to believe Auburn was ranked #2 in the country when Arkansas came into JH and whipped Auburn in 2006. That seems like a looong time ago.
I never saw the 2006 game coming. I knew we were overrated at # 2, but was glad to be ranked there, but not for one second did I think the D would give up the deep pass for their 1st TD, the long run to McFadden or the trick play to Reggie Fish.
However I did know that our offense wasn't very good and that if the D did slip that we would be screwed.
Both of the games we lost in 2006 were to true freshman QB's with Stafford and Mustain.
During the 2006 Ark game I was working a trade show and knew I wouldn't be able to follow the game, so I asked my brother to call me with updates. It wasn't very long before I told him he could quit calling me. A few years before that when we took another of those Arky whuppins, I had the misfortune to have an Arkansas fan working in my department. Fortunately, he worked for me, so he had to listen when I told him to shut up.
RK, looking back, it seems the Auburn offense began to lose its way after K Irons was banged up in early 2006. He wasn't the same explosive back he had been in 2005, and the passing game couldn't take up the slack. Amazing that Auburn won 11 games that year.
I think black and white videos would add to the nuance your work.
I think I am going to start working the phrase "ponzi scheme" into my everyday vocabulary. I've heard it so much over the past few weeks, I think it is a good idea.
FSJ- Isn't that what Alabama Season Tickets are?
Eddie,
It was during the Shula era, but something tells me our ROI is about to go through the roof now.
As Bernard Madoff is a former UAT student, I think the phrase "Ponzi scheme" is apropos for discussions of items associated with that institution.

I would cover Alabama if it's better for me! - Jay G. Tate
That should be the new and permanent front quote on the blog.
Jet..I had forgotten that he was a former Bama student.
We are the bandits of the SEC...no doubt.
In 2006 the offense died on the long run by Irons in the 1st game when he pulled up lame just as he got to the endzone.
That 2006 team wasn't very good offensively, but it just knew how to win the close games.
The 06 game against LSU was one of the worst offensive efforts I have ever seen...until I saw the 3-2 game
JD,
I have no complaints about the 06 LSU game. That was the hardest hitting, most physical game I think I have ever attended. I left the game feeling like I had played in the game because of all the contact.
I felt like that game was just two great defenses not giving any ground to the other team.
There is a huge difference in beating an LSU 7-3 and being a Miss State 3-2.
RK ...
I consider the 2006 LSU game one of the finest football games I've ever watched. I watched it on TV, and with the replays, I winced two dozen times at the sheer brutality of the level of physicality in the game.
We won that game, but we were never the same.
In 1985, I was at a high school football semifinal game that was of the same style. The offenses weren't completely incompetent, gaining several first downs. But the defense kept saving the day.
The final score waas 2-0.
The 3-2 game was completely different. It was bad football played badly by two bad football teams.
Bad Football - I hope that's a long distant memory by the end of Sept.
However, I keep hearing that "we" should all temper expectations for the next few years.
I'll keep my expectations as high as I please, thank you very much.
(speaking to "them", not you personally macho)
My expectations are always high.
Us ... us ... us... and
Them ... them ... them...
And after all, we're just ordinary men.
Down..down..down..and
Out..out..out
There's a lot of Bama hate about.
Nice Floyd reference, Jet
Me ... me ... me and
Ehyou ... you ... you.
Love maters sammiches with Dukes, we two ...
Black..black..black..and
Blue..blue..blue
For me and jet, not any old mayo will do
From the Joe Cribb's Car Was Re: 2008 attrition.
"Just for comparison's sake, once you account for academic casualties and Raven Gray's no-show, do you know how many Rivals/Scout consensus four-stars Tubby signed in 2008? Zero. None. Signees from that class garnering four stars from one or the other? Six. (Again, this season: 13. After 5-7. After the coaching change. This was either a hell of a job by Chizik and Co. or a measure of how unbelievably bad the 2008 effort was ... or, of course, some combination of both.)"
Oh, no Sean.
You didn't. Yeah, you did.
Here we go.
Where's Steve?
Who was it, Steve maybe, that got spanked for quoting JCCW?
Sean's tryin' to get the TeleTubbies to come out and play.
We're going to PC in 2 weeks and I haven't been in a while. Has anyone tried any of the restaurants in Pier Park?
He used it as a reporting source, and Jay said that was inaccurate because he doesn't report. He "borrows" and then throws his opinions on top. This is obviously an opinion...not borrowed reporting.
TeleTubbies? LOL, Jet.
Ehyou ...
Don't know about Pier Point, or whatever.
The best "nice" seafood I've had in PC was at Saltwater Grill (pretty good, not great).
One the best dives for fried seafood is The Captain's Table near the bay in Panama City (not Panama City Beach). It's right there with Doc's Seafood Shack in Orange Beach.
Golfers... I need your recommendation.
Can someone explain the difference between the Cleveland CG10 and Cleveland CG11 wedges? I have been thinking about buying a lob wedge for quite some time, but have been hesitant to drop the $ on one. But, I saw the Cleveland CG10 and CG11 wedges on sale today for $49.99.
Someone make a recommendation between the 2 and explain why, please.
Why do you need a lob wedge?
We have kids and I'm cheap, "nice" restaurants are out.
We will be going to Cpt's Table, it and Pier 77 are always on the itinerary.
Pier Park is a new outdoor mall with about 10 restaurants, so we're bound to hit it once.
dmiller- just buy the cg-10. practically the same wedge. the cg-11 is just the newer version. No difference in the 2 if you ask me
d.miller...
The 10 is CG's "standard" lob wedge. The 11 is the newer version. Probably not an speck of difference to a hack like me. If you're that worried about it, go test hit them both. If you're buying cold, I would go with the 10, why mess with a good thing?
I have a great lob wedge that I use several times each round ... it is my left arm/hand.
Hey peeps. I'm finishing up this long feature on the Chiziks. It takes a while. Jet knows.
Waiting on word from Bonomolo ...
Yeah, where is Steve?
Someone posted something in a negative light about Tub's last couple of classes, that usually rings the phone at the SteveCave and causes the commish to put the Steve signal in the sky.
And who would know more about Auburn recruiting than ... a guy who doesn't cover Auburn or recruiting.
Jerry Hinnen, everyone!
Ladies and Gentlemen ...
The Jay G. Tate Orchestra performing "Chin Music."
The Steve cave's line must be disconnected.
he recently was timed at 4.25 seconds in the 40-yard dash at his high school.
Lache Seastrunk...no way...bring out the lazer
Jay, I'll remove the bit from the JCCW if you'd like.
Sean, you didn't break any rules!
No problem.
Steve FC is busy.
jhag, I was about to say I'd take Lattimore over Seastrunk.
But I respect your opinion.
Word. I just didn't want to end up in the dog house.
I would take Dyer over Lattimore and Seastrunk. He looks like a perfect fit for this offense.
Sean does not equal Salsa
Salsa does not equal Hamburglar
Eddie, now that you've mentioned him he will probably come back.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOAAA Lattimore? My own opinion is hes behind Lache and Dyer but Jay is better at evaluating then me so im prolly wrong
Salsa's probably too busy beating down Urban Meyer and letting him know how scared he is of Satan to be bothered by a lowly Auburn blog.
Or he's too busy posting as one of his 3 fans on TS.com. That's a hard charade to maintain.
Sean- You would have to be dearly loved to pull that charade.
Not sure what you're saying Eddie, that he really has fans or that he doesn't?
The murmurs are that Dax has gone home...anyone know the details?
Sean, if you're trying to avoid the doghouse i wouldn't stop by my place. i'm a fixture there. i think i even have my own plaque.
Ehyou-I've been to Jimmy Buffet's and The Back Porch. Neither is very budget freindly. Back Porch is 'cheaper' than Buffet's though.
I would opt for another place to eat and then go there for the ice cream shoppe. It is very good and is across the street from The Back Porch.
What up Hotties? - Greetings from the Left Coast about 90 minutes NE of LAX. Today's brush with greatness - flew from ATL to LAX with and met Dr. J. Worth noting perhaps, I picked up my own luggage at Baggage Claim, he had hired help to tend to that menial task for him.
I'm out here doing my part, I'm sure you're all doing yours.
Keep Hate Alive
tres cientos!
it's expensive being rich.
Norm,
I met Isiah Thomas last week in the airport in Cleveland.
wtc...
Feedback much appreciated. We'll likely stick with the holes-in-the-wall we know and love. After a bushel of oysters, shrimp boil, etc. we'll only eat out a couple of times anyway.
I would guess that, yes, Dellenbach is gone. His place on the roster was compromised once Tuberville & Co. vacated the premises.
Dax Dellenbach. Wow.
the Dax story is mucho importante JG. remember the 2004 LSU game? a bad snap almost cost us a perfect season. ;) thank goodness for personal fouls on XP's.
I'm in the dark and begging...please fill me in on the deal with Dax.
What I know: 2008 long-snapper signee. Dad played in the NFL.
What I don't know: Why I've seen his name mentioned about 4,000 times.
I'm in the dark with you ehyou! Someone please explain slowly ...what is the deal with Dax?????
Ditto.
Updates like that don't make it to me at 36K feet.
Dax is the first long snapper in AU history to receive a scholarship out of high school.
He was The Chosen One before THE CHOSEN ONE!
Git ya Freak on, Eddie!
hallelujah, I was paroled!
Presidents of the U.S.A.?? Never even remotely heard of them, but if they like peaches, they gotta be alright.
99 cents just got me Peaches by PUSA from Amazon
Dear Rev. Cleophus James Jet...
I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT!
God bless the United States of America.
Thanks.
Thanks, Jet.....how did I miss out on that! Then I take it that Chizik thinks that Dax has no other significant talents pertaining to football???
THT...
I should've warned you. By listening, you are doomed to have that song stuck in your head. It is a natural law.
Maybe they did make the Dax/ Tebow trade
speaking of peaches, someone stole/ate my fresh sliced peaches from the refrigerator at work today, then had the gall to throw away my container, but the stupidity not to hide it in the trash. I was heartbroken. Good thing there's lots and lots of peaches here at home. I'm going to eat a HUGE bowl tonight. Then I'll eat some more with a big bowl of ice cream.
I don't think it was intentional. There were some nasty little fruit cups in the fridge from a lunch last week and perhaps the moron thought it was one of those. What ticked me off is EVERYONE denied it.
That's why I never put anything in the community fridge ... the criminal element at work.
Looking forward to some peaches and maters when I get home tonight!
and there's a whole lot of criminal element in prison; rumor has it I may soon be cell mates with a bammer previously discussed on this thread. Any requests?
What's worse is those who leave things IN the community fridge...
for months.
i say have him sing the auburn fight song every night before beddy by.
NoVa - I agree; that is exceptionally rude of those slime molds.
The Great Exodus from the Class of 08 continues. Gonna be an interesting Pro Day for that senior class.
Scottie B- that sounds better than a shiv
a shiv will only go so far...i'm not scottie b btw
hey guys, i just found some delicious peaches in my fridge at work, so i ate them
oops, my apology. I wasn't paying the least bit attention.
Harrison- I'm sure you put them there, though.
You'll only ever know the name of the long snapper if he messes up...then you'll forget it a month later.
why on earth did they put slimball's column on al.com/auburnfootball? It's so insulting it should have been put on the bama blog.
DANG IT !!!!
Salsa stole my shark avatar!!!
Thieving Bammer!
It would have been nice to read the whole article, but you apparently have to go through an hour of searching to read beyond the Miss State game prediction.
That being said, I didn't see anything overly bad in Finebaum's writing. Everyone is still trying to figure out what will happen with Chizik as the HC and Jay Jacobs isn't in the top 10 AD's in the conference.
I didn't try to read the whole thing. The first couple of paragraphs were so stupid I couldn't take any more.
"In his first few months on the job, Chizik has done little to mute the critics who piercingly screamed that his hiring at Auburna...ranked among the worst hires in modern SEC history"
PuhhhLEEZ. The Chiz has all the Hotties fired up with his coach hires and recruiting efforts. I haven't heard any Auburn fans still screaming about the hire.
Speaking of Finebaum, I picked up the tail end of some stink about Paul stating something about a contributer to the Auburn Network. He flatly denies what ever F-Baum and is furious about it. Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about??? I would like to know what Paul said.
The key word is "critics".
Nationally and regionally Chizik hasn't done much yet in the eyes of people who don't follow the day to day workings of the program...and in some who do follow it, he hasn't done much either.
Anyone who was critical of the Chizik hire probably still isn't convinced as of right now, I don't disagree with Finebaum's point.
It also was among the most curious hires in SEC history.
First of all, the column was written three months ago. I don't know why it shows up as an active link.
I don't know if the column was written before Tiger Prowl (it may have been), but it's typical Finebaum. It's lazy. It's more about being bombastic than analytical.
By attracting a top flight staff, Chizik has done just about EVERYTHING he could do to this point to address Auburn fans' concerns and should be impressive to national critics.
Ultimately, what happens on the field will tell the tale. But it's a gratuitous shot to say he hasn't quieted critics. That's Finebaum's style.
interesing economic thought for the day:
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out
of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person
must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody
anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When
half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the
other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the
idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what
they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You
cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
~~~~ Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931
ah... good point Jet. I didn't notice the very tiny April date; only the July date for the blog entry. That's extremely lazy journalism. All the more reason for me to hate al.com, and all the more reason for me to hope JGT doesn't go there.
don't recall is this has already been linked here or not; I think it's fairly recent (i.e. not from April)
Auburn Plainsman article about O-Line
re: link ^^^^
BTW be sure and press the stop button on the photos or the text will keep jumping all over the page
Rolling with Rollison '09!!! Get on board. Train is pulling up to the station. Boarding is about to begin. Make sure you have your tickets and have them handy to prep for boarding!!!
Urban Meyer: I'm not going to Notre Dame ever
National critics have no idea who Curtis Looper and Trooper Taylor are...they only know Ted Roof as the guy who didn't do so well at Duke.
For people who aren't close to the program, the Chizik hire is always going to be a bad one until he wins on the field.
We watch it from 100 yards away and see the good that can come out of this, most people watch it from 20,000 feet and only see Chizik's resume as a HC.
Plus Finebaum loves pushing buttons, looks like he does it well.
Has anyone heard anything about Joel Bonomolo? I thought we were supposed to hear about his commitment today!
I haven't heard a peep, Cincy. But I'm a zillion miles away.
Sorry to probably bring up old news, but , JGT, are you believing something big is brewing for this weekend in regards to Auburn Football Recruiting. I am sure it has been discussed on here but I am stuck out on a small base in the middle of Afghanistan with limited internet access. I am needing my fix for anything Auburn Football and all I am exposed to are the Brits and their version of "Football". Did not have time to read all the older threads.
Hi Dowhat? God bless you and WAR EAGLE!!!
Yes, there are rumors of something big happening this weekend. It is the final weekend summer camp of rising sr high schoolers and an unknown number of recruits are reportedly pilgrimming to the Plains this weekend on their own dimes. Surprisingly little in the news about it thus far.
Hey, I know this is not really sports related but why is the Dean of Students, Dr. Johnny Green resigning effective tomorrow?
Had to resign his position to return the AU football team to play cornerback again?
I hope this will put an end to the embarrassing emails turning into press releases asking students not to boo the team.
Urban Meyer has declared he will NEVER go to Notre Dame.
He's gone for sure.
THT_ I think after the 2ndary violation rumor mill from the3 Big Cat weekend, they are keeping things a little low key. I think at least they are trying to not get it out on the recruiting sites and have a mess to clean up like the last one. (you know the scuddle about the students showing up and the police controlling traffic and the Rivals guy shooting video)
Just my opinion.
I agree wtc; but it's still surprising that it's been kept under wraps so well. Of course, there are 4 more days for leaks.
Jet - The storms - Good catch.
If a person were looking for a good hamburger in the Gump where should they go and what should they order EXACTLY?
Monica,
Many choices...Hamburger King, Chris's, Chappy's Deli has a great mushroom and Swiss
one more episode of Star Trek Next Gen. to go.
One of the few shows MrsTHT & I enjoy together.
Thanks, Jay. :-)
Monica-You coming to Montgomery this week?
Yep, trying to work out a day to head down that way.
RK was spot on regarding asst. coaches.
Some of my favorite activities:
playing 'possum
laying low
waiting in the weeds
Topped only by:
Springing the trap
'08 = ranked at start, pitied at end
'09 = pitied at start, ranked at end
Let me know what day. you have my email. If I am in town maybe we can meet up for a few.
Only if you promise to wear that outfit in your avatar.
That the usual Friday casual day wear. Maybe I can make an exception.
Monica ...
Hamburger King is the place ... they are straightforward ... you can get your choice of -- ketchup, mayo, mustard, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and pickle.
They don't have fries. Chips and soft drinks.
Monica ...
Looks like I'll miss you on this trip ... I've got an out of town trip for the day with the Mrs. tomorrow. On Wednesday, I leave for a conference out of state through Friday night. Hope all is well with the Duchess of Birmingham, niece of Queen Omnica.
Mon,
There is only 1 place to get a burger in the Gump... Hamburger King.
Get a Deluxe Cheeseburger, no tomatoes (if you despise the evil things like I do).
Does anybody know why Jonny Green is resigning? Effective tomorrow is kind of sudden, isn't it?
From being somewhat involved in SGA I've heard some rumblings about the new capacity of Johhny Green's job. Auburn recently hired a new VP of Student Affairs to couple with Johnny Green as he was getting bogged down being the Dean of Students. The breadth of his responsibilty was getting too large so he may be taking on a role with student affairs or something along those lines.
I think it's time to call it a night.
BTW, in my neighborhood it's only 53 days until kickoff!
HAPPY YANN COWART DAY!!!
Anyone who can major in architecture and play football is deserving.
Honorable mention to DT Spencer Johnson and All-American LB Ken Bernich.
WARRRR EAGLE!!! GO TIGERS!!!
THT, good work on Cowart. With your permission, another honorable mention to #53 Anthony Harris, an outstanding LB who played on the '93 undefeated team. He is also in the top 10 career total tackles for Auburn, according to the 2006 AU media guide.
Morning, Hotties! One day closer to Auburn football!!!
Good morning, Hotties.
This made literally LOL:
Jet said...
I have a great lob wedge that I use several times each round ... it is my left arm/hand.
Thanks for the early morning laugh, Jet!
TarHeel, EXCELLENT quote by Dr. Adrian Rogers.
Good Morning all. One day closer to all opening night when young Rollison will be leading the Tigers out onto the field on the first series.
Bernich as an Honorable-Mention? blasphemy! ;) keep up the good work THT. love it.
Ken Bernich honorable mention?
Perhaps, he will like to honorably mention something to you.
It would be very, uh, honorable.
depressed- yes indeed, a big shout out is certainly in order for Anthony Harris, a great Auburn man.
ScottieB- I had no doubt someone would object to Bernich being relevated to honorable mention status. You're right, he deserves better.
HAPPY COWART-A.HARRIS-BERNICH DAY!!!
We need some exciting news today! Things have been way too slow lately.
I don't know how exciting this is and it's not Auburn-related, but Geno should be going for his second surgery today to repair the degloving injury. So, hopefully, he should be able to come home tomorrow.
Luv,
That is good news. I hope he does well and is home quickly.
i had to say something THT. glad you're back amongst the internet users today.
Luv, if it relates to a good auburn man/woman/pet then it's auburn news. best wishes to Geno today.
THANKS!
Things definitely have been slow.
Calm before the storm next week.
Luv - all the Hotties are Geno fans!
Scottie B - I didn't think most Hotties were old enough to remember Ken Bernich. He was a great one, born in Biloxi, high schooled at Archbishop Shaw in Marrero, LA, and a consensus All-American LB at Auburn in 1974.
Ken Bernich was a bad ...
You shut yo mouth.
I'm just talkin' 'bout Ken Bernich
Any HABOTN reviews of NCAA 10? I have heard that is it not too impressive although that is not a shock, it hasn't been impressive since like 06.
Come on Pookie... Let's burn this mother down.
The last video football game I bought was NFL Blitz for the 64.
the last one i bought JD was '08 for the PS2. i haven't upgraded yet. trying to talk the wife into a PS3 for Christmas. not having much luck with that, though.
Apparently, one of the GameStop locations in B'ham had a tournament last night.
My nephew, trailing 28-3 against Florida in the championship game, lost Kodi with an injury, brought in Chris Todd, who led the Tigers to a stirring 34-28 victory.
Virtual redemption is Chris Todd's.
hahaha. virtual redemption.
Hotties,
I'm disappointed in our performance of late. We've had a crack at this thread for 3 days and have yet to turn two pages. Shame on us!
We need Left Coast Norm!!!
Donkey Kong was technological perfection as far as I am concerned.
Well this thread is awfully close to the next page. I think you all know what that means.
He picked up the phone and said, “Hello”…. but there was only silence on the other end. A feeling of foreboding crept through his body. His knees shook uncontrollably and his lips quivered. His hands became numb, so much so that he dropped the banana he was holding. Wait, that was a banana and not a phone? No wonder no one was talking on the other end!
Erase the hate. Celebrate.
If ski masks didn’t conceal a person’s identity, then they wouldn’t be used by crooks so much. But if they didn’t cover a person’s entire face, then people would get cold faces while skiing. And since they cover a person’s face, they conceal their identity. Thus, they are often used by crooks who don’t want people to know who they are. Do you see the problem here? So much for easy fixes in this world.
If staff infections tickled instead of hurt, people probably wouldn’t mind them as much.
I have heard some people say lately, "Pacemakers! Ha! Who needs ‘em?" Well I’ll tell ya who, Buster. People with irregular heartbeats, that’s who!
You did it Michael!
