First post: Friday of Week Six
Hey everyone. I had a moderately tough travel day on Thursday. I didn't get into Tulsa until 11 p.m. or so. I was debating when to write today's story -- yesterday morning or yesterday afternoon after arriving at my parents' house in Tulsa. Let's just say I made the right decision. The story is linked below.
My journey sucked, but I want to give Delta/Northwest some propers. After our second attempt to land in Tulsa failed and we were forced to fly back to Memphis, they easily could have washed their hands of it. Instead, they refueled the plane, summoned a new crew and we made a third (and ultimately successful) approach into Tulsa. To avoid that storm, though, we flew all the way to Kansas City and back down into Tulsa.
What normally is a 45-minute flight became a nearly two-hour flight, but we made it. Big love to Delta/Northwest for that.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

TODAY'S SCHEDULE
Auburn is flying to Fayetteville, Ark., today. That trek will begin at the Montgomery airport. The team will stay in Springdale, located approximately 10 miles north of Fayetteville. I am chillin' in Tulsa with my peeps, going to a football game at my old high school (Holland Hall Prep) and kickin' it with my boy Woodhead alongside the gridiron. I'm pretty geeked.
Saturday's situation: I'm leaving Tulsa around 6:30 a.m. for the two-hour drive to Fayetteville. Traffic can get gnarly over there, so my goal is to walk into the press box around 10 a.m.
Here's what the next few days look like. All times are CDT:
Fri., Oct. 9, flying to Arkansas via Montgomery Regional Airport
Sat., Oct. 10, at Arkansas, 11 a.m. (ESPN)
Sun., Oct. 11, 4:30 p.m.
Mon., Oct. 12, OFF
Tue., Oct. 13, 4:30 p.m. (Chizik presser at 11:30 a.m.; some players available between 1 and 2 p.m.)
Wed., Oct. 14, 4:30 p.m.
Thu., Oct. 15, 4:30 p.m. (Tiger Talk at 7 p.m.)
Fri., Oct. 16, OFF
Sat., Oct. 17, vs. Kentucky, 6:30 p.m. (ESPNU)

Mmm … bacon
I smell bacon !
I smell country ham
Definitely a pork product of some kind.
mmmmmmm.....bacon.
Bacon is my favorite!
Just always thought TT had a soft spot for ARK...
The power of suggestion. I simply must have some BBQ for lunch today. I can't quit thinking about it.
8 from Tallanasty
Bullwinkle's, jhag.
Bullwinkle's.
Are the Pikes ready to go!
Don't think Malzahn has a soft spot for ARK
JGT glad your trip turned out as well as it did. Being an old airtraveler I have some war stories that did not turn out so well, as I am sure anyone who has flown a lot has.
If he thought he could, I think Malzahn would try to hang 70 on Arky. Ole Nutt too for that matter.
Lot of subplots to this one with Malzahn-Arky (negative), Tubs-Petrino (negative), and Chizik-Petrino (probably ok with each other).
On another note, I think a BLT might be a good lunch choice.
Malzahn's issue wasn't with Arkansas; it was with Nutt.
Phred,
I'll take 70 points in this game and vs Ole Miss. Let's make that happen.
Concerned about Eltoro.
I find it odd that there are so many doubters concerning this Auburn team. I guess we are winning with smoke and mirrors while the darlings of the media are just soooo good. Bama, Fla, Texas and who ever else is at the top of the heep really haven't played any tougher schedule over all. When they win it's WOW look what they did. When Auburn wins it's well so and so really isn't that good. WELL it really dosen't matter at this stage of the season.
JUST KEEP WINNING (EAT MORE HOG)
Eltoro another Blackmon????
Eltoro and Blackmon are different kinds of people, but their football profiles are similar.
I will say this, if I am wrong about this week, I don't know another game where I will pick against Auburn until maybe the very end.
Not saying we can't lose one of those, but I will have a hard time justifying it.
WERK, I see you're back to your plan of going to both ABB/WSP shows. For your BBQ plans, I'd recommend Miss Myra's for chicken, but for pork I think Tin Roof on Valleydale Rd is better.
Freeman is a very happy, jolly kind of guy. I just think he gets too excited on the field and loses track of his responsibilities. He's lacks discipline.
Different picks are what makes football so much fun. We all have our gut feeling and sometimes we are right sometimes we are wrong but we still have fun doing it.
Auburn 9 Arky 6 ( three field goals to two)
Just kidding I don't have a clue this week except both teams will be in the 30's or 40's
Myra's does have good chicken as well as excellent banana pudding.
Never had Tin Roof..
Scott C.
Yeah, my wife and I decided last night that we needed a weekend away from the house so we'd just go to both shows.
We ended up getting a really good deal on Priceline for the new downtown Hyatt which is a mile or so away from the BJCC.
How far would the Tin Roof be away from that area?
Eltoro doesn't lack discipline, he lacks tackles.
I think you are right Jay he seems like he cannot contain himself and is a loose cannon when he gets on the field. Hope the coaches can calm him down as the season moves on.
Glad to hear you made it to Tulsa okay, Jay. I noticed that Trott quoted the HABOTN video opening theme. Do you think there are players that read this blog?
Miss Myra's is a bit closer to downtown, but Tin Roof is a straight shot down I-65 and is right off the interstate (exit 247, I think). That's probably 10-12 miles from downtown. They're both good. Miss Myra's is a dive, which is generally a good thing when it comes to bbq. Too much Bammer paraphenalia for me, though. Tin Roof is strange in that it's in a shopping center, rather than stand-alone. That put me off at first, but that pork bbq sure is tasty.
Sup hotties? Word on the street is Isom did not make the trip. Hopefully the injury toll will begin to decrease soon and we'll also get some guys back.
El Toro definitely "nuts up" when he's on the field. Assignment football seems to be his weak point right now. Wouldn't mind seein him blitz off the edge in certain situations.
So Tommy Trott said knowledge is power, huh? Sounds like someone has been watching HABOTN videos.
Just watched the "No Tiger Walk" Tiger Walk from the UT game. That was awesome! Hope we can do something similar tomorrow!
Scott, the video doesn't even do it justice...in person it was, again, the greatest away game atmosphere I've ever been in...bar none.
Sensi: JGT and Tony Barnhart agree with me on this week's AU-Ark game. I picked AU45-Ark35, Barnhart says AU42-Ark35.
Of course...not that I need validation, but jus sayin.
Here's the Barnhart recap:
Auburn at Arkansas: Auburn showed me a lot by winning at Tennessee. Now the Tigers will be in a track meet in Fayetteville. Somebody in this game is going to have to make a defensive stop. Auburn has a better chance of doing it. Auburn 42, Arkansas 35.
JGT...was it the best away game atmosphere you've ever experienced because......you're starting to become an AU football fan?.....j/k
I don't know if this is the same as the video on Eddie's link, but here's where I saw it:
"No Tiger Walk" Tiger Walk
Pretty impressive, I thought!
KIP is one of my favorite quotes.
DWWD
Go, Tigers!
Hoopie, that wasn't JGT that posted that.
I wish Bro. Jet would write us some appropriate lyrics to be sung to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies theme. Didn't they come from the Ozarks?
I'm trying not to look ahead, but I can't wait to see what Malzahn has in store for Houston Nutt.
Revenge is sweet. Not that I think Gus Malzahn will ever say anything publicly about what happened to him at Arkansas.
I don't know how you guys listen to Widespread Panic. I've given it several tries. I just don't get it.
Scott Ch.....thanks....fake JGT fools me on occasion.
Scott...in my opinion, that video did even less justice to the event than the one Eddie linked to--which was still not comparable with the actual scene there.
I tell you, there were A LOT of people there, and it was LOUD!
Jay W. - Wow! Wish I could have been there. Secondarily to that, I wish I could make Eddie's link work.
Everyone, have a great weekend.
War Eagle! Beat the Hogs tomorrow.
I may get on here if I'm bored and the hotel has a computer, if not check everyone on Sunday.
Wow Sensi - So you are saying that if AU wins tomorrow, then you'll pick us to win over LSU? That's the most positive thing you've hinted at all year.26

Coach Tubs and I just chatted.
[Comment From Scottie B in Tennessee]
WDE Coach Tubs! How difficult is it for defensive linemen to adjust to blocking schemes like Malzahn's where you've got tackles on one side and guards on the other? Watching this offensive line and the way they work is fun.
Tommy Tuberville: Yeah, Scottie this is a veteran offensive line for Auburn. They're very athletic across the line of scrimmage. I've enjoyed watching them on film and I think the misdirection has really helped the offensive line
Tommy Tuberville: It gives them blocking angles on the defensive players and gives them an opportunity to be more aggressive
-not much substance but i tried.
scottieb representin'. Very cool.
We've scored 207 points so far, 208 all of last season.
scottie b is famous!!!
AP article in the Sporting News with some cool CGC/Troop history
http://www.sportingnews.com/college-football/article/2009-10-09/auburns-chizik-goes-from-panned-praised
thanks ehyou. i love watching the OL and how one guy kicks out and runs down to the other end of the line to take on a defender. my fav though is when the left & right sides cross and leaves a hole in the middle for my pre-season ALL-SEC RB Ben Tate to smash through.
What then?
aggrrr. I'm gonna miss the first dang half.
off to arkansas, 13 hour drive here I come!
13-hour drive? That's dedication.
atta boy F-True! done it once. doubt i do it again. i'll wave my Trooper Towel for ya in the mornin'!
maybe insanity actually, we'll see how that goes!
It's all fun and games until you get to Memphis. Then you move into Arkansas and realize Fayetteville is ... still a long way away.
Nice article, Hoopie. I was surprised by the Troop quote toward the end... I figured it was just coach talk when Chizik described AU as his "dream job".
Glad you made it to the folks' house safely JGT. And thanks for a great article. I'm now supremely hyped for the game which is now a little under 22 hours away.
i don't know JGT, that Birmingham to Memphis trek is not a fun one in itself, hated it last year going to Ole Miss
FT, just make sure to run a few Bammers off the road when you get near Oxford. Good luck on your trek.
Yes..it's all fun and games until you get to Arkansas and hear the dueling banjos...
Birmingham to Memphis is a tough ride.
Lived in Memphis most my life... only crossed that bridge to Arkansas maybe 5 times total. One time when over there, I held a dying redhead in my arms who said, "This place is death!" OK, maybe that didn't happen, but that is how it is viewed.
Birmingham to Memphis is tough? You guys are soft. I used to do Auburn to Memphis once a month for 5 years while I was at Auburn.
The B-ham-Memphis route is especially easy now. Almost all of it is limited access. Why, back in my day, you had to criss cross through the rolling hills and Carbon Hill and all kinds of places to follow 78. It is an easy ride nowadays.
Yes, someone mentions the word "Memphis" and I post about 10 times in a row. DWWD.
Yep, the parts of Corridor X/I-22 that I've been on are a pretty easy ride these days. If you get off of I-65 north of 20/59, you can cut over to Corridor X by taking Daniel Payne to Cherry Ave, without getting in all that Hwy 78 congestion that starts up right when you exit Arkadelphia Rd.
"at" Arkadelphia Rd.
It's been years since I travelled the Bham to Memphis route. I'm glad to hear it has improved. There was certainly room for improvement!
My only trek to Arkansas was to cross the bridge at Memphis, and quickly turn around for the return to Memphis. I don't think I saw Arkansas's best part.
corridor X - is that like some sort of wormhole/light beam transporter type thing?
i worked at a summer camp in Mt. Ida, Arkansas after my freshman year at AU. we drove down to Texarkana on night to this hole in the wall BBQ joint. we stood on our chairs and sang 'war eagle' as loud as we could. got our meal for free. good times.
I'm getting nostalgic about THT's countdown posts, mediocre expectations and Rollison Express.
Make sure don't need fuel when on Corridor X, there's literally nothing.
Before entering onto Corridor X, make sure you have used the facilities or the bushes may be in order.
Exit 30 has some gas stations. For about 4 years, this is where the corridor ended and pointed you through Carbon Hill.
If you want actual fast food, there ain't any. In dire circumstances, there is food about 6 miles off the Hamilton Guin exit. I have made a pit stop there before.
90 minutes late into Memphis -- hustled from end of B terminal to end of A. Hoping my checked bag makes it. 65 degrees in Memphis. But wet.
Corridor X confuses the crap out of my GPS.
DO NOT use GPS on Corridor X. You may wind up in Tuscaloosa.
I heard Isom nor Eltoro travelled with team.
I know not to trust the GPS there, but it's fun to watch my car avatar appear to be in outer space.
I warned about the Bull this spring but Phred accused me of not having any AU spirit. I have AU spirt, I was just being realistic. Another case of unmerited excessive exuberance for teenagers that have never played a down in the SEC.
I hate it. Hoped Toro would figure it out. Don't think he ever will.
Kathy, I hope the Bull made the trip. Why wouldn't he?
Ok..all this talk about pork today had caused me to be extremely hungry...
Freeman isn't a lost cause. He is a good player. He'll get it figured out.
ballin,
Every fan base has "unmerited excessive exuberance" for teenagers that sign and qualify. None of them have played a down in the SEC.
Most of these kids start slow and learn. Not everyone is Darren Bates. I was exuberant about him too. Maybe I missed your warning.
Wait. Did you warn about everyone or just Eltoro? Should I go look or would that disturb you from 'tooting your horn' because Eltoro hasn't started as fast as some of us expected it to be? and thus deemed a total failure by miss cleo?
have a day.
Aero - this is for you...
Kickoff Kountdown
T-minus 1 day til we smoke the pork!
GO TIGERS!!!
WARRRRR EAGLE!!!
Memphis
Let me tell you about Memphis, THT
Memphis has the best BBQ ever. YOU DON'T EVE KNOW!!!!
It is common knowledge that the water park of my youth in Memphis, "Adventure River", was undone when they decided to add a go cart track. The clothes you wear to ride go carts are completely different from the clothes you wear to swim in. Whose bright idea was that? They killed Adventure River! Idiots!
A few years ago, the nice new Parkway Place establishment in the Memph made a dress code that disallowed the wearing of hats to discourage gang members from coming in. Memphis! DWWD!
Peabody Place, not Parkway Place. Not that is matters, it has since been shut down. DWWD.
The Bull is obviously having some problems adjusting, but I don't see giving up on him already.
Remember during recruiting last year, after coach traitor went to the dark side, Freeman stood up and said "I didn't commit to James Willis, I committed to play for Auburn." He stuck with Auburn when things didn't look near as good for the program as they do now, I think he deserves the opportunity to work through some tough times.
Thanks, Michael. You are indeed a Queen of your word.
Indeed, THT. That is, unless it benefits me in some way to lie. But I think that is a harmless caveat. Yes, I am a Queen of my word.
Eltoro is still young, and he is obviously athletic. Give him time. Dude is a sophomore.
Aeronaut I only had comments about Eltoro (google it and check it out) and was chastised for doing so. I watched most of the games he played in high school. Usually takes more than athletic ability to play major college football. That being said I hope he succeeds at AU just like I hope every other AU player does as well.
85 in the Gump, 65 in Memphis, 46 in Hog Chi Minh City, FayetteNam.
46 sounds awful good to me. The older I get the colder I like it.
2:02
Tommy Tuberville: "Hey, thanks, we had a great 10 years and a lot of memories and I'll always be an Auburn Tiger."
WDE.
I've got to go. If 2.0 happens by, tell her MrsTHT made the call, but I haven't heard the outcome.
Eltoro definitely deserves time. I am just curious why the coaches have been starting him. Possibly it is because they see his upside potential to be higher than Herring's, but for now I would stick with Herring as the starter.
ballin.
I disagree with your prediction based on what I saw in his high school and JC performance.
Sorry but I'm not a big fan of predicting failures 5 games into his first season.
------
I also disagree with the majority's view about Blackmon. He did a great job on the field, when he was on it. Played hard, little recklessly and got injured, however his punishment for underage drinking was a bit too harsh.
Auburn Everyday showed a great pre-game speech by Travis Williams before the UT game, I believe it was at the team's motel.
Trooper Taylor then gave a speech to the team moments before they left the locker room before the game. He talked about how quiet the UT crowd would be after AU scored. Great stuff.
Well worth the time if you get a chance to watch the show.
I used to go to Libertyland in Memphis. I don't think it's around anymore.
In fact I don't like negative things said .. wait.. unwarranted negative things said about Auburn athletes.
Sorry if it looks like I need anger management. I'm not a bammer.
Blackmon was an average to good linebacker. He never lived up to the hype, but since he didn't create the hype, that certainly isn't his fault. I will take guys like Craig Stevens of Blackmon any day.
As for Eltoro, it is certainly too early to say how good he will be. Occasionally you will see players have a game where suddenly things start clicking for them. Let's hope we see that from him some day, but he hasn't been around long. Give him time.
what's with Michael and Memphis?!?!
It's cool Aero. I can criticize, you can rebuke and vice versa. Liberty is sweet.
Glad to know Eltoro is a sophomore. If he IS coachable there should be a marked improvement next year. I hope we get to see that improvement.
He claims to be from Memphis but I've never seen proof.
Have a great weekend everybody! WDE!!! Beat Arky!
I think he just has an old guide of the city and is randomly spewing forth notes that can't necessarily be verified.
Ironic, isn't it - we heard all kinds of hype about Eltoro, going back to when he originally signed out of HS.
We heard virtually nothing about Darren Bates.
Any confirmation on Kathy's report that Eltoro didn't make the trip? Can't understand why we would leave an LB behind, whether he had his assignments down or not.
Unless there's another issue, that is.
no issues, no injuries, and no drops.
Bates is a good example of a guy that was obviously underestimated in the recruiting process. I am still amazed at what he has been able to do. Safety is a position that requires a smart knowledgeable football player. He apparently has it. I do believe his father is a high school coach.
Perhaps that's why Adam Herring is catching on so quick.
Got to be another issue if they left Eltoro at home. He could at least play on special teams; he certainly knows how to tackle.
Haven't been around much the past week or so, been crazy busy. I'm sure its been discussed but the BCS computers are very high Auburn. Only one of them have us outside the top 10 (Billingsley has us at 25... weird) and 2 have us in the Top 5. Our BCS ranking should be pretty high if we win this weekend.
Or at the very very least break up a wedge.
Did Jenna's tv marriage bring bittersweetess to your Thursday evening?
Beat hacks are strewn about the Southeast.
We've got some stuck in Memphis. We've got some stuck in Bammerham. We've got one in Fayetteville without baggage. We've got one hoping to catch a connecting flight despite a delay.
What a mess.
And we've got one in Little Rock because, apparently, his plane couldn't make it the next 100 miles to Fayetteville.
Jay, have you heard Eltoro isn't traveling for this game? Kathy mentioned it earlier and I find it hard to believe. While I would start Herring, I assumed Eltoro would get playing time in every game. Heck, it is almost like if you are a linebacker and have a pulse, you are going to get some playing time.
Eltoro is not that good at all. There. I said it. Blackmon was better playing once every 9 games. Eltoro's small. He has no technique. And he's gotten worse each minute he's played.
By the way, how's Benton these days? Heard he opened up a smoothie shop in St John, VI.
Jordan Hair, it is a bit early for drinking, isn't it?
I played LB on our intramural team at Auburn, and I do indeed still have a pulse. Think Chizik wants me to head to practice next week SteveFC? Let him know I'm available.
Actually it isn't. It's Friday and it's after 5pm.

If Bates wasn't so good at safety we could put him up there. If Etheridge could tackle we could put him up there, too. Everybody else back there is 175lbs or less. No chance.
Wake, I would go for it. We have about half a dozen linebackers and several can't play because of injury. By the way, what kind of 40 time you got?
By the way, what happened to Etheridge? He used to be a staple back there. Now he can't tackle. He can't cover. Gives up big plays. Woe is me.
Gandy, Harris, Blackmon..who else should still be in a an Auburn uni this year?
Oh yea, Trahan...
Etheridge has actually been doing a lot of run support because of their confidence in Bates. I can see Etheridge playing as a pseudo linebacker against Arkansas, with Washington or Adams taking his normal spot.
Guess you're pretty surprised about the whole 5-0 thing huh Jordan?
Now, Adams, there's another one. The guy can close like no other but can't tackle yet. We get him tackling and the sky's the limit. Love watching him cover the field no KO coverage. Ugly to watch him tackle the return man. But he's gets to him just about every time.
No, I'm not. I had us 6-0 to start but I had it sort of backwards in terms of offense and defense production although I questioned the Roof hire.
My 40 times is pretty good Steve... the only problem is I weigh about 175... I hear thats a bit on the light side for an SEC linebacker.
Wake if you're 6' or more and can grab the rim with two hands we'll take you.
Cameron just said on Sportscall that Blackmon has left the Calgary CFL team, disappointed with his playing time.
I know Blackmon turned pro to support his family, but it is highly possible it will hurt them in the long run. He should have stayed for another season in college where he could have gotten more playing time and experience. They guy needed work on his cover skills.
I wonder if that means Trey's got an option to go to. Maybe tha new football league that started up.
doink ...Tray
Trey has too many personal issues and people after anything that he earns to concentrate on any type of career.
dank...Tray
What personal issues, Jordan?
JGT said earlier that Eltoro was smart and should be OK, so I think we as fans should back off and give him time to develop.
Some fans are very impatient digger
anyone mention that Freeman did not make the trip to Arky. neither did Isom?
Freeman got into an exchange with a coach Sunday in film room. May sit out three games for it is what i hear.
So true mytommyd. Glad the coaches aren't.
Got to go find me some sooooooeeee hog to pull.
Catch yooze guys later.
Looking for good news next Thursday/Friday on recruiting front from Arky. Hearing that is the day Dyer commits.
Thanks for the info wtc. Any news on Isom or how long he'll be sitting?
Probably be back for KY game from what I hear.
digger, how smart is it to contradict your 5-0 coaches in the filmroom if this is the case?
wtc, you are the source for good information. I had not heard about the Eltoro run-in with the coach. That sounds like it could be a multiple-game deal.
Thanks again wtc.
Steve ... the likelihood of Blackmon's eligibility was nil from what I understand ... leaving was his only option.
Freeman was out of position on several plays against UT and then when he was in position, he went in recklessly and took himself out of position. He did not fight off many blocks. On Sunday, he did not take the review of his play very well. He did not show for practice the next day (whichever day was next)but did show up the next one. he is still on the team but will sit for now. Some think he is down for 3 games. but that is just what I have heard.
Geez, behind every silver lining is a dark cloud.
I almost hope the Eltoro film room story is true. I'd love to think that our coaches would sit someone for insubordination, even if they played a position with major warm body shortages.
Here's hoping he gets his head back in the game, no matter what is going on.
Freeman could survive on poor talent alone at lower level ball, at this level, unless you are an elite talent, that won't cut it. Good for the coaches for bringing the young man back down to earth.
wtc has scoop.
Just got through watching the latest installment of Auburn Everyday.... One word WOW..... This team is together!! Coaches are together!!! This team may get beat one of these weekends, but they will have left everything on the field in defeat.
LT
I guess the blog couldn't handle your enthusiasm LT
I have the same effect on women.....
It's the other way around for me.
LA Tech v Nevada at 8pm CDT on ESPN360.com.

Very nice LT, very nice!!
OK - I'm filling out my 5-team parlay for the weekend.... this is what I got....
AU -2.5 vs Ark
FL -7.5 vs LSU
GT (line +3 GT's way)straight up vs Fla St.
As bad as I hate it - 'Bammer -4.5 vs Rebels
Finally - Dogs (line +1.5 GA's way)straight up vs TN.
Did I win?
There are a thousand, maybe two, questions around that parlay. That'd be an accomplishment to win.
Just watched Auburn Football: Everyday. LOVED it! This was my favorite one so far this year.
Also, thanks to Hoopie for the article on Chizik. Great read.
Is Tebow playing this weekend?
I;m fixin' to start on my Pro one for Sunday Peter - I got some time to knock down that Q count to a 997 number or so.
I don't think it matters if Tebow plays, the kid they are trotting out there as his back-up has a canon for an arm.
Wow LT, I'd say the only sure bet on that is Bama to cover.
I can honestly say all of the other games could go either way.
Only one I might disagree with is UF-LSU. It's an odd numbered year, so go with The Hat to cover, maybe even win straight up.
LT, I'm gonna need some locks on the 24th/25th.
Bacon bacon bacon! Sooooo eeeee pigs! Come on in for your slop and slaughter! Ware Damn Eagle!!
45 seconds in, and LA Tech is up 7-0 on Nevada.
Friday Night game featuring irrelevant WAC teams. Sounds stimulating.
Ware?
Loganville, I'm with you on those picks.
Ole Miss covers and may win. Whenever something looks so lopsided, it always goes the other way.
Ole Myth is Ole Myth..
Bama wins and covers.
I will be shocked if Ala does not cover but I have been shocked before so we shall have to wait and see.
I'm not just saying that because it's Bama FSJ. It just seems to happen a lot and that seems to be the lopsided game.
No way, ehyou.
I'm going with history. In the last 50 years, Ole Miss is 4-2 against Bama with a Manning under center. They are 2-25 with everyone else.
I don't see it changing this year.
Lopsided? If a pig has to legs shorter on one side he is a lopsided pig the bacon is still good but Auburn still whups em. Ole Miss is still Ole Miss.
A little story from last weekend.....
I had my 5-team with AU straight, LSU straight and OK giving up the points vs Miami plus two others..... OK was my lock.... Hit 4 of 5 on that one. So ticked off i blew off the pro games - my 5 I had written down hit...... It suxs to be me....
BTW - I only put a 20 spot a week on these - no big money for me as I would not enjoy the weekend.
I actually saw one of the two without a Manning under center...
1988 on Homecoming. Bill Curry's coming out party. We didn't even complete a pass.
It was the day the Bryant Museum opened. We were going to visit it after the game. I said something to my Dad about it as we were leaving....He said so eloquently.. "&#$(&#$(*& the Bryant Museum."
Turn it
