Comments from People
Hey everyone. We have just concluded the Outback Bowl teleconference with a few people whose opinions matter.
Let's do this.
Let's do this.
- JIM McVAY, Outback Bowl czar
- On why he picked Auburn, a West team, after taking East teams for 13 consecutive years: ``There were a number of really good teams with 7-5 records. We watched Auburn all year. A lot of really, really good things kept coming up about Auburn. We typically take teams from the East -- but we've talked about having a better way of getting better circulation in the West. It was the perfect opportunity and the perfect time to bring Auburn back."
- On why he picked Northwestern over Wisconsin: ``Wisconsin and Northwestern played a couple weeks ago and Northwestern beat them. It just seemed like they would be a team ... the head-to-head was really the final decision. We're going to bring a team to our game that hasn't been to the Outback Bowl. They're a fun and wide-open offense. It really came down to how Northwestern won that game (against Wisconsin) and they deserved it."
- On the significance of Auburn's win against Tennessee on how this all played out: ``It absolutely added to the argument. Auburn beat Tennessee. Auburn beat Ole Miss. And then the way they played against Alabama. I think Auburn can play with anybody in the country."
- JAY JACOBS, Auburn athletic director
- On how aggressive he was in pursuing this deal: ``I'm not sure we took a more active role than some of my peers in the league. We began to contact bowls to find out what they needed from us to make a good business decision. We were very proactive what we were doing all day Sunday and all day Monday."
- On what he's expecting in terms of ticket sales: ``We went ahead and put options up there on the tickets. There were good reasons for it not being official (until today). Based on the chatter and the emails and everything during the past week, it's been going very, very well. We expect it to be very, very successful."
- GENE CHIZIK, Auburn football coach
- On what this bowl means to Le Programme: ``What we wanted to do this year was start building a foundation for a great, great future. You sit there and you look at being able to end the season with an Outback bowl invitation with a good team from team from the Big 10. What does everybody want? A New Year's Day bowl game."
- More along those same lines: ``Ending the year like this gets our fans … in a frenzy. It's important in terms of people seeing where this program is headed."
- BEN TATE, tailback
- On his reaction to finding out Auburn was selected for the Outback
Bowl: ``I was excited when I heard we were going to the Outback Bowl. It’s a great reward for us. To get a bid to a New Year’s Day bowl shows how much respect people have for Auburn, since they picked us over so many other teams they could have taken. I’m just really looking forward to playing Northwestern, having fun, and doing our best to win the game."

Substance
I haven't done that in so long, I forgot how good it feels :)
Here
cincy with the substance!!!!
Nice comments from the dude...
does that Alton writer's opinion matter? Was he included in the teleconference?
Need a ticket to the Outback Bowl? Or up to 5 tickets?
Sit in JAY G. TATE'S OFFICIAL HABOTN SECTION* with other Hotties, cheering on your Auburn Tigers!!! These tickets are available at cost, $80, which includes shipping. These seats are in Section 232, on the Auburn side of the stadium, and with the sun at your back. Contact me via email (see my blog profile).
*the name of this section is purely fictional. Any resemblance in name to a real person, living or dead, and especially a blogger, is purely coincidental.
Yes, this is shamelessly reposted from the last thread.
Jay G. Like the activity today. Lots of threads = happy hotties. Good work.
Ditto.
Do Percy Harvin and the Ravens D beat Adrien Peterson in Fantasy Football? I've got Peterson, the enemy has the other two, and we're dead even with just those three left. Aggrrr.
Gene likes us in a FRENZY!
Peter,
I've never really got into the fantasy football thing..
I may try that next year.
Who wants to buy me a PS3 for Christmas? I know somebody wants to...
JayGT - thanks for all the BeatHack Outback news!
I hope AU can get a "W" in Tampa.
Iowa State vs Minnesota in the Insight Bowl. Who ends up with a losing season?
I have to say, I'm intrigued by the Las Vegas bowls matchup featuring BYU and a team that was less than a touchdown from being in the Rose Bowl, Oregon State.
You play football in sunny southern California for UCLA. How bad does it suck to go play in th $5 Hot-n-Ready Bowl in the hellhole that Detroit has become...against Ohio. Yeah, great way to spend Boxing Day (and Xmas).
Boxing Day?
What are we? Part of the British Commonwealth or something?
Re: Las Vegas Bowl.... GO BEAVERS!!!
ISU and MN may be the NoSight bowl. NFL network? I don't know if I gained that when I paid a few bucks extra to get NHL Network or not.
Detroit might as well be in Canada, so I stick with my statement.
Detroit in Canada... wishful thinking.
Spoken like a true Loyalist.
Somebody get the tar and feathers.
ESPN is saying Marshall vs Ohio in Detroit. I don't blame UCLA for turning that one down.
But I only see one PAC-10 spot listed, the Holiday Bowl, and neither Arizona or UCLA are shown elsewhere in ESPN's bowl pairings.
What is due south of Detroit? Canada. I'm with PF. I say pay Canada $1M to take it from us.
Norm, I doubt Canada is that gullible.
On second thought, they'd be gaining the Red Wings, so they might think they are getting a bargain if we can just get them to keep their focus on the puck.
Can't we just take Vancouver in exchange?
we could try. Lord knows we haven't had any success taking Quebec.
Yep, looks like it's changed since I posted that.
UCLA is now listed as a possible for the Eagle Bank is Army doesn't take it.
Pac-10:
Arizona is confirmed in the Holiday Bowl vs Nebraska.
Cal to the Poinsettia vs Utah
USC to Emerald vs BC.
Oregon State to Las Vegas vs BYU
according to the site that's taken from, only thing unconfirmed is Eagle Bank, Humanitarian, and BCS bowls.
Vancouver for Detroit would be a steal.
who wants Quebec? Bunch pompous smelly people who can speak English, but refuse.
great link, PF. Thanks!
While we're at it with Vancouver, let's just go ahead and take all of British Columbia.
just great, TCU and Boise STate get stuck playing each other. Talk about not letting them in to the dance. Ok, fine you can dance, but only with each other.
TCU vs Boise St = suckage
I want to see these schools against BCS conference teams.
Does that mean Iowa in the Sugar?
Fiesta Bowl for a share of the National title!
Boise St vs. TCU
Should be a heck of a game!
Who is the blonde interviewing TCU right now?
nice!
yep. TCU got screwed. I was hoping for TCU/Cincy, and GT/Boise.
re: Quebec. Apparently, we did, PF.
a bunch of white guys rapping in Texas.. scary
I'm gonna be really pissed if the Sugar is Florida/Iowa. Florida/Cincy, I would LOVE!
anyone know of a Bowl Pick'em for money? last year a guy from Chicago formed a group; set it up through paypal. you sent money, he sent the password. it made Bowl season extremely fun, with confidence points, spreads, etc. I actually watched every game and enjoyed them all, hoping my team would win/cover.. it was 30 bucks a head, and he got like 40 people in it.. split the winnings 70-20-10
Woo-hoo.
BCS is almost all B and S, and very little C.
Stick the two BCS busters in a game against each other (never mind that it's a rematch of their bowl game last year) instead of giving them the opportunity of showing they are better than the BCS teams.
Bear, just look around the groups on the sites. Sportingnews usually has a bunch set up like that.
Iowa vs Ga Tech...the Orange Bowl has really become a snoozer.
oh how I'm going to be a HUGE Tech fan
Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl...yawn.
Don't yawn on the Sugar Bowl. Cincinnati could do some bad things to the gaytors...and I hope they do.
The only way Cincy wins that one is if Florida absolutely doesn't care one bit about playing there.
That very well could be the case, however.
i will check it out, PF, but i was wondering if the HOTTIES would be into it.. wonder if Jay G is good with Tampa...
I'd do it for a small wager, Bear. I'm sure others would, too. Set it up.
Wow.. Urban in hospital last pm/today. maybe he was taking the focus of getting their butts waxed off his team?
I dunno, E-Bro. Florida's offense in a shootout?
yeah, he checked himself in for "Chest Pains," was treated for dehydration and released. Sounds like someone's a little melodramatic to me.
Cincy's defense is not what you call good.
I'm not saying it will be an absolute stinker. Maybe 15 points or so. I'm just not that excited about the game.
Also, if Brian Kelly leaves, I imagine that might wreak havoc with their bowl preparations.
no, their d sucks, but I think they find a way to score early and often on Florida's D. I think it's a shootout...When was the last time UF was in a shootout?
the dehydration talk was a cover up.
My sources tell me Urban was treated for a bruised ego.
Nicely done THT.
Bear,
I'll look into setting up a paypal if the Hotties want to place a small wager on the bowl pick 'em. I'll also set up the bowl pick 'em online at one of the websites.
If you'll advertise it and drum up the interest... I'll set it up.
Urban finally realized that his time with Timmy was coming to and end... he had a broken heart
I don't think Florida's defense all the sudden stinks. They sucked yesterday.
I think Cincy can win, but it will be because Florida cares absolutely nothing about playing the game.
Multiple times this year Cincy has lost the time of possession battle by an obscene amount (talking 15-20 minute margin).
If they do that against the Gators, they're in trouble.
But my main point is that I'm just not looking forward to the Sugar Bowl that much. It's not because I think it will be a blowout or anything.
The match-up just doesn't excite me. If I hated Florida more, maybe it would. That's why enjoyed the Sugar Bowl last year. I was rooting hard for the Utes.
Also, having lived out close to Mountain West territory during last year's season, I was familiar with Utah and thought they were a sound football team.
i will get the word out.. thanks, b/c i know nothing about using paypal... thank goodness my wife is an accountant.. on another topic, when Dansby was announced at this game, he gave props to his HS, not Auburn. I know that is the "new" thing, but a small slap in the face, IMO
Brian Kelley beating Urban, right before taking the man's "dream job." Or possibly, Urban taking the dream job away from Kelley after repeatedly saying he's staying in Mullettown, FL forever...either way, it makes for a good storyline, and I think Cincy's offense matches up well with the Gaytor D.
Go strange Asian Mammaels.
TCU has to play a very good team they beat in last year's bowl. That will be more difficult, and much less rewarding, than if they were playing any of the other BCS bowl teams.
My Dad's current defeatism over Alabama is appalling.
Please tell me other Auburn fans aren't like this.
I am also glad we are playing N'Western not that I have anything against Wisconsin but after two bowl games with them I like the change. They will be a real challenge for our pass defense. Wonder who will be favored.
rats, just realized I may be working during the UNC vs Pitt and BC vs Trojans games.
And I'll miss the Holiday Bowl. Good matchup to keep the endzones from getting trampled.
On the bright side, I'll also miss the Humanitarian Bowl matching Bowling Green and Idaho. Is this Idaho's first bowl game?
I just can't imagine 34 Bowls, that is ridiculous. No wonder they made the bowl requirements so low. There aren't 68 teams in the country really qualified for bowls.
Ebro ...I'm guessing that your dad is having Barfield flashbacks.
$aban has built a machine. It may take us a couple of years to equal them. Trends cycle through much faster than in years ago and we'll get back on top.
$aban can't do the dastardly things to keep us down that Bryant did. Today's information age and ESPN scrutiny won't allow it.
Although Bama has given $aban the keys to the place, there isn't the recriprocal love there was with Bryant and there won't be any patience either. Those idiots will soon "expect" a championship every year and start grumbling. CN's will tell them to shut up or he will leave. Eventually he will leave.
Lowder's negative influence-clandestine meddling is waning and folks around the SEC now know that. We will soon not be handicapped by that either.
AU will be fine.
Outstanding job in the first year if you ask me. Especially if we can go in and win this game. Lots coming back next season and the talent joining them will help as well. This extra month of practice will go a long way in developing some players as well.
Bin the extra practice is really a big plus for teams that go to a bowl. New Years day bowls I assume gives teams even a little more time.
that extra month of practice is why I'm surprised Notre Dame decided not to go to a bow. Pretty selfish of the leftover coaches and seniors, if you ask me. A chance for them to possibly get the new coach in, and the youngsters to get some much needed extra reps, especially with Clausen and Tate probably leaving, is something the AD should've made happen.
Has Jay G. Tate, Auburn Blogger, released his Heisman ballot to the Hahahboatin yet?
Don't think so. Maybe he doesn't want us to know.
frame, not yet, but we think me has put Ben Tate at #1 and NDonkeykung Suh at #2
me= he ...lol..
1. Suh
2. Toby G.
3. Ingram
FAVRE FAVRE FAVRE
he needs to stick a couple in the endzone for me.
Terry
BEASLEY!
Darvin Adams....
right place, right time. nite hotties.
Scottie B is too fast for me!!!
sorry THT. i've had that kind of day. :(
I'm still deliberating on the Heisman front.
I had a guy from the Heisman Trust call here earlier. Just making sure I knew about tomorrow's deadline.
I told him I was still thinking. He said that was a common refrain.
This is what cheering instead of booing your team will get you. This is from Track-em-Tigers:
It sounds like Auburn fans played a part in grabbing the Outback Bowl invitation. "When we heard of the Auburn fans chanting at the end of Friday's game, 'It's great to be an Auburn Tiger' we knew there was something special about the excitement around this football team," said Outback chairman Jim McVay.
"The Tigers have everything we're looking for in a New Year's Day team - they are a tough, exciting team, extremely well coached and have what might be the best fans in college football."
What's there to think about?
Toby
Ndonkeykong
Some dude.
:-)
...and please, if you put Suh's name on your ballot, spell it that way.
What up peeps? Good news on the opponent, I wasn't excited about a Wisconsin matchup.
JGT ... valid arguments can be made for several players. Good luck it. Also good to see that you take it seriously.
I know my opinion means nothing, but in terms of Heisman, which I believe should go to the best college player, I think the best I have seen this year are:
ndonkeykung suh
toby G
colt m
I think if you took any of these 3 away from their teams, they lose at least 8-9 games each
Colt McCoy
Toby Gerhard
Ndonkeykong Suh
CJ Spiller
Tim Tebow
oh, I left out Armanti Edwards. Certainly, JayGT won't make that same mistake ;-)
After some deliberation.... Here is my heisman ballot:
1) Ndamukong Suh (best player regardless of position I have seen in years... hands down)
2) Toby Gerhardt (most consistent offensive performer all season, never had a bad game...)
3) Kellen Moore (Incredible #'s in leading BSU to an undefeated season)
OF NOTE
I dropped Rico McCoy from my All-SEC team and replaced him with Eric Norwood.
My amended ballot, identical to the one I just submitted, is now up.
Toby G
Suh
Ingram
My preliminary Heisman ballot:
Suh
Ingram
Gerhart
I have the TV muted while satan is on ESPN when MrsTHT walks into the room. She glances at the TV and says, "Hate, hate, hate". I love that woman's well-placed hate.
Maybe I need to look at Spiller a bit more.
Spiller is a phenomenal player, but he was hurt for too much of the season.
He only had 4 games with more than 100 yards rushing.
Spiller is an easy winner over Ingram and would give any of my other Heisman favs a run for their money.
Spiller had 33 receptions for 445 yards and 4TD
201 rushes for 1145 yards and 11TD
a huge KO return avg with 4 returns for TD (setting career KO return for TD record with 8)
digger, bowl teams get 15 practices to prepare regardless of when the bowl is played.
I think the consistency of Gerhardt has to rank him above Ingram...
I know it's a body of work... but thinking of Ingram having 30 yards in a game against his in-state rival... a team who only played 13 total defensive players for the game and only 3 LB's for the whole game.... a Heisman worthy candidate doesn't go M.I.A. in a game like that...
I just really want to see a D-tackle win the Heisman.
What would motivate Colt McCoy to beat Alabama more, winning the Heisman or not winning it and needing to prove a point?
Which ever motivates him more to beat Alabama, that's what I'm for.
Frame... More so than just wanting to see it... He deserves it...
Dion Lewis of Pitt should also be above Ingram.
Then there are the RBs who accumulated great stats even while handicapped by crappy teams, a la Ryan Mathews and Donald Buckram. I'd definitely take Lewis over Ingram. I haven't seen Buckram, so can't say there. I saw Mathews early in the year and don't remember being WOW'd.
I completely agree, but I don't believe that it could happen at this point. This is pretty much the best chance for a non-'skill' player to win the award. There aren't any dominant QBs, RBs, WRs or WR/DB/KRs, and there just so happens to be one of the most dominant DTs to come around in a while. If Suh doesn't win it, they need to just change the criteria for the award to the best player on a top-five team.
WERK - you're almost making me want to change my mind and vote for Ingram!
nope, I can't in good conscience hope for someone as undeserving as Ingram to get a Heisman.
As much as I hate Bama, Mark Ingram should be the Heisman trophy winner. He and the stats and the wins. Congrats to him.
What is going to be worse, listening to Alabama fan for the next 32 days talking about how they are for sure going to win, or the bragging afterward if they win against Texas.
forgot all about James from Oregon. I'd take him over any 2009 SEC RB.
That said, the best player in the country is Suh of Nebraska.
He won't win the Heisman, but he will get his millions.
Somehow I think Suh will be okay.
AP All Day gets stopped for no gain more than any other "best running back in the league" I've ever seen. It's especially alarming considering the o-line he's running behind.
OK folks.... I am proud to announce the HBPOTN (HOTTEST BOWL PICK'EM on THE NET)...
The group will be set up shortly on Yahoo!, in similar fashion to the season long pick 'em contest.
First, we need to do a little housekeeping.
Poll questions:
Q1) How much do we want to set the entry fee?
a) $5
b) $10
c) $20
d) $35 ($1 per game)
Q2) How do we want to structure the payout?
a) Winner Take All
b) Pay top 2 70/30 split
c) Pay top 3 70/20/10 split
I need answers to these questions, ASAP.... you can post them here or email me at the email in my blooger profile.
Also, please let me know if you plan to participate.
Once I get answers, I'll post the group login info as well as other pertinent instructions.
I don't gamble so I won't be in the bowl pick'em.
I only put up money if I'm 100% certain of the outcome. With that in mind, I'll bet anyone $1000 that Ingram doesn't deserve the Heisman.
If the consensus decides that they don't want to have an entry fee... we can still do this sans payout.
I'd like to play sans fee.
D Miller
1 I would play for up to $20
2 c
UNC considering an EIGHTY MILLION DOLLAR stadium expansion that would add 3,000 seats. Yes that's three thousand, not thirty thousand.
Ok... I have set-up 2 groups...
1 group is for everyone (Free to play)...
The second group is for those who decide they want to play with a friendly wager)...
I suggest that those who fall into group 2, also join group 1. You can copy your picks from 1 entry to the other, so it wouldn't take any extra effort.
For the record... my answers to the poll questions...
1) B - $10 buy in
2) A - Winner take all (if less than 20 entries) OR C - 70/20/10 if more than 20 entries
$10, 70/20/10

JayG...not that you asked or anything, but as far as Spiller is concerned, it would behoove you to look at the all-purpose yards instead of the rushing yards.
Yeah, he tore it up on the ground last night, but it's what he did all around that was generally amazing. The guy seemed to be good for at least one 40+ yard touchdown (whether returning, running, or receiving) a game.
No chance to win, but he definitely deserves to be in New York. Same goes for Suh.
"AP All Day gets stopped for no gain more than any other "best running back in the league" I've ever seen."
Barry Sanders was worse. Sanders would have 10 carries for 1 total yard every game, then break a 60 yarder.
Good morning, Hotties, and War Eagle!
E-Bro said...
Luv...have others claimed an easy win is on the books? I think Auburn has a fair chance of winning, but I don't think anyone can say Auburn does anything easy this year.
E-Bro, only one person on the HABOTN said something negative, but that's because most of the Hotties are fair, intelligent and have common sense. I'm sure there are people that aren't happy with the matchup, but then, they don't fall into the above category either.
Anotha day, Anotha dolla!

Tar Heel, after watching Dion Lewis on Saturday, he is my new favorite player that isn't an Auburn Tiger. Kudos to the coach that recruited him regardless of how the "experts" had him ranked. And, what a heartbreaker that game was for the Panthers and their fans. I could have cried for them!
Did anyone hear what Herbie said on ESPN's bowl section show last night? I laughed so hard they probably heard me down the street!
Luv,
What did he say?
He was talking about how difficult it will be for $aban and Co. to keep their team focused with all the hype that's going to be going on for the next month. Mark May said that will NOT be a problem for $aban. Then Herbie said something about last year's Sugar Bowl and the way he said it was hysterical.
I missed that. I saw where Saban was on there and immediately chastised them for making Texas/Alabama out to be David vs Goliath and then Herbstreit stepped in and said, it won't just be ESPN, you will have to stop all the media, radio, magazines and everything from doing that.
d.Miller - the password for the wager group doesn't seem to be working.

Off topic, but I need to get some info from the hockey fans of the group.
My son let us know that one of the presents he would like is an authentic Atlanta Thrashers jersey with Nic Antropov's name and number on it. After discovering that this one customized jersey will cost more than the three day trip to Tampa WITH game day tickets, my immediate reaction is no way is that going to happen. Do authentic jersey's really cost that much? Or am I just looking in the wrong place? Thanks for any help or light you can shed on this.
On the local news this morning, they showed bamrs lined up outside of bama fever in the Galleria waiting to buy their SEC Champions gear. UGH.
Food and rent money will be scarce this month for the Bama fans.
Tommy,
An authentic jersey for any sport are very expensive. Replica jersies are cheaper, but any jersey is usually pretty expensive.
Tommy. Did you enter "money" as the password for the wager group?
Tommyd,
try it again, it should be working now.
TommyD: Could you get away with this?
It's $120 or so ... plus $15 or so for lettering.
That's not quite authentic, but it's not fake by any means.
After May claimed Saban would have Bama ready, Herbie said "You mean like he did for the Sugar Bowl last year?
Actually Saban kept pounding the ESPN guys about preparedness and ignoring the media and ended up schoolong them a bit.
I recorded the silly 3 hr affair. I went through the entire show in 45 min. ESPN showed the Saban/Bama interview segment 3 seperate times during the 3 hours. It was the longest individual segment on the show.
The Bama fans can relax their fragile egos now ...their getting their precious "exposure" they so covet.
Hey Hotties. Great to be back for 4 days and then Disney!!!!!
Bama looks good, period. Hope Auburn looks that way in the near future. Texas...what dumb play calling. Yes, the 1 second on the clock was correct, but was Les Miles calling the plays or what?
Really really really want to go to the Outback Bowl, but just don't know if it will be possible.
Yeah I saw that too Mr JGT. I think I was just in sticker shock from the $379 authentic one(before shipping/handling and tax), and was wondering if that's just what the "real" jersey's go for. If that is the case, ummm he's getting the not necessarily authentic one.
Thanks D. Miller!
Do people buy hockey jerseys?
I own a hockey jersey.
You know, gotta support the team
------->
Not for $379 they don't. At least I don't.
No kidding. $379 goes a long way towards supporting my many other vices. Among them; eating, heat, electricity, vehicles with gas...
Move the decimal over one to $37.90 and I Might consider it.

Luv's comment about the Bama Fever line inspired me to make a motivational poster.
Nice work Big Snacks!
Nailed that one Big Snacks.
I couldn't say it better PF.
I almost said it the same, but couldn't say it better.
We have to win this bowl game to somewhat erase the memory of the last time we played in Tampa.
They could have fired Bowden after that game and I wouldn't have been upset.
So when does bowl practice start?
RK- I believe bowl practice starts in about a week. Not exactly sure, but i'm sure as soon as finals are finished.
Snacks ..nice poster. That's at least worthy of a one day as an avatar.
The rest/healing afforded by the bowl period should help AU compared to teams with more depth.
Unfortunately you can say the same about NW.
Apparently Antonio Goodwin is no longer committed to Auburn. He says we are still being considered but are equal with his other options.
Sean- I saw that. I really would like to have him sign with Auburn. It will be a dog fight till the end with him.
nah, Hoops...anyone feel free to use and spread it, though.
So how many people missed work today to line up and get the Bama SEC championship merchandise...oh wait that's right what's work?
RK, those fries still have to get cooked by someone.
If you hate your animal, this is probably where you should take it.
Not that there's anything wrong with having a fast food fryer job. Gainful employment is totally appreciated.

JayG, would you be willing to send out a Twitter tweet to your faithful followers about the Official (unofficial) HABOTN Bowl Pick'em contest? I could send it to you and you just retweet it maybe?
I will be avaiiding the bammer fever stores for the foreseeable future.
I forecast an increase in food stamp usage and trailer foreclosures in the next couple of months, as bammers spend their grocery money and mortgages on bammer merchandise.
I love the Discovery Chanel's "I love the whole world" commercials.
So far, the Bammers at work have been quite tolerable. Apparently they aren't too stoked over winning the conference. According to one, winning in Pasadena will be a return to Normalcy. I told him it must have been a rough 17 years if that's your definition of "normal."
I love Discovery Channel and their HD Theater.
So far I have not recieved a single wayward remark from my bammer co-workers. Although, I'm not sure if any of then are here. They may be standing in line to buy their walmart jerseys and more car flags.
It will be said a gazillion times in the foreseeable future that Bama is now in it's RIGHTFUL PLACE and I will have to ask how can you stay in the wrong place for so long and be back for such a short time.
dmiller...
That's to replace the ones they threw away in 2003, right?
Sean...
It has been a rough 17 years...trust me on that.
FSJ, no offense intended, but those type of expectations are unsustainable and obviously, not enjoyable. It's like it's a relief if you win the BCSCG. That's ridiculous.
FSJ - just for you ------------>>>
LOL..
I just lost my breakfast Norm.
Nice poster, PF! Do those people not realize that they can order any Bammer crap they want online? Of course, that does require knowing how to turn on computer.
Norm, disgustingly hilarious.
By the way, we're getting close to a flip...
Wow, I never knew Bama had a blimp.
This Northwestern match up should be entertaining since they also are up tempo. The big difference I see is that their leading rusher averages twenty something a game. They are a pass happy bunch.
FSJ - had I seen her in person, I'd have done the same.
I believe I'll keep this avatar the rest of the day.
They're pass happy and that's our big weakness defensively. Hmmmm. How's NW's rushing defense? Perhaps we could watch one of those 56-52 games.
Since I'm about to get on a concall...
Since Eddie blocked me previously...
Let's do this...
Boom.
Thanks for taking the initiative Norm!
I love that new page smell.
Actually we are pretty decent against the pass, rated 20 something nationally. I don't think we were rated as high against the run.
That's ridiculous.
