Radio Appearance Forthcoming
Hey everyone. I will be doing my weekly segment on SuperSport 930 out of Jackson, Miss., in a bit. That extravaganza will begin around 9:05 a.m. CST.
We'll be talkin' Auburn, the movie "Doubt" and other stuff. You know how it goes.
Be there or be rectangular.

HATE!
if you ain't first you're last Eddie.
Golf clap
Speaking of golf and clap, what about that Tiger Woods?
Recruiting News: Scout just changed the interest level on Seastrunk from medium with several other schools to High for Auburn. This along with Lache Mom's comments about him going to play with Reed look promising for Auburn right now. TIFWIW.
I think I'll pass on this show.. :-)
Tiger....How many women will it end up being?
I'm a huge Tiger fan and will continue to pull for him, but that is just disappointing.
sweet Edwardo.
FSJ,
Is this a boycott?
On my part yes RK..
Nothing against Mr. Tate tho....
Wish he was on a station near here. He'd have great ratings.
FSJ- I support your ban of the show and understand the reasoning.
Yeah, if it's for the comments from last week by JKev, I understand.
I'm going to Tampa, I'm going to Tampa
mytommyd - that reminds me; ticket office for hockey is now open. gotta make a call. Jan 2 Penguins at Tampa!
so why is FSJ boycotting HATE radio?
Scottie- Go check out thread from last week and you will understand. Pretty bad.
I assume it is from JKev coming on here and making comments about John Mark Stallings last week.
I could be wrong, but that's probably it.
Static on Supersport's online feed. Hooray!
Okay:
1. I'm sorry I made a joke about Stallings' kid.
2. Didn't know the bammer's kid had CF.
3. Sorry.
That said, the fewer bammers that listen to the program, the better.
Build a bridge, dude. Get over it.
"That said, the fewer bammers that listen to the program, the better."
AUsome. hahaha.
This comment has been removed by the author.
Wow, that apology looked sincere.
it's fixed...thanks
the static seems to have dissipated on my end. :)
Look, I like JKev and the show alot and I understand that he stops by once a week. But the HABOTN is like family here and most of were aware of FSJ's daughter Abbie and her struggles. It's one thing to pick on a bamer, which we enjoy doing, but just trying keep it nice here. The apology is....just another slap IMO.
Any stones or zep requests, hotties?
ooohhhh, it's all coming together now Eddie. i must've totally missed that last week.
I'd like to hear Neil Young doing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song.
"Communications Breakdown" seems appropriate right now.
what, no John Denver?
PF, I don't find Jimmy Fallon that funny at all, but the Neil Young thing was dead on perfect.
was that Cross Canadian Ragweed? nice. play 'Boys from Oklahoma'. :)
RK...
I don't find Fallon to be that funny either. He looks so uneasy on his show.
I agree, RK...pure genius.
Along those same lines, I really like James Taylor doing DMX's Party Up.
I haven't seen the James Taylor/DMX thing, I'll have to check it out.
Falon not that funny, O'Brien is OK. I prefer to watch a show I recently found called Free Radio. I think it is a comedy central thing. Plays at 10:30 in Montgomery about 3 mights a week.
FSJ-how was the BBQ show?
It's Joe Cumia...pretty good.
Not clean lyrics
Frankenbummer, I just want to let you know that I support your support of rushing the field.
After all, I did it back in '01. I wish I could have acted like I had seen an unranked Auburn knock off a number 1 team many times, but... well... I hadn't.
wtc,
It was pretty good. Myron Mixon from over in Georgia had alot of camera time last night. He's among the best. He's won Memphis in May a few times I think...
And he's a bit of character too.
I have no problems with students rushing the field. No way should it be done in a win against Ball State but beating a top tier team, I've got no problem with it. Now if my daughter does it and somehow she is fined or taken in, I have a problem with it.
FSJ-loking into a Green Egg for Christmas. My friens that have one, which are more than I thought, love them.
JKev. Requests:
Stones - Live With Me
And you should start throwing in some Black Keys into the rotation.
Start with Thickfreakness. It's very Zeppelin-esque, but also is just good dirty blues. And they're a Fat Possum band, which connects them to Mississippi.
girls don't get arrested.
there are two theories on being around girls on the field.
on one hand, since they don't arrest girls, you're the only target should they come wandering by looking for people to arrest.
on the other, the chance of them coming by looking for people to arrest in a group of girls is less likely, since groups of guys running around like fools are plentiful.
It's ON, homies.
play this...nobody would get it, but still.
Frame,
I have listened to the Black Keys, but something about just having a guitar and drums doesn't sound right to me. They need a bass player.
wtc,
They are nice..I don't have one but everybody I know that does loves it.
Very versatile too. Anything from low and slow to high heat it can do.
Google T-Rex steaks. Or just look at this link..
BGE
Michael you talking bout Fl. game
RK, if you get a chance to see them live, i think you'd change your mind. I wasn't sold on them until I saw them last year down at Jazz Fest.
I once lost a bet with a poster on another board about whether Alabama had ever torn down the goalposts...
I arrogantly thought that since I couldn't remember it that it didn't happen. Well that thought cost me $100.
I wasn't the only one that got caught too.
Apparently we did against Ohio State in some bowl game in the late 70's. We even screwed that up. We thought that since we were third and 1 & 2 lost that by destroying Ohio State that we would be national champs.......Not so fast. Notre Dame went from fifth to 1st.
Trampled underfoot or Houses of the Holy.
"Hold up on that carwash"!!!!
I love the Bufford T. Justice reference.
Yeah bigdaddy, the Florida game in 01. Rushing the field was like a high stakes game of red rover. If you made it through the yellow coats, you were good.
I noticed most of the people with their faces being pushed into the grass getting handcuffed were quite drunk and easy targets. You can't be stumbling over yourself and think you can win at red rover.
Of course, the next week, they hired about a billion yellow coats, and then we all realized we would be the last students to storm the field at Auburn. I'm historical, baby!
Out on the Tiles from Led Zeppelin III
It wasn't like the OT win vs La Tech the next week was going to require everyone rushign the field.
Hey JGT you had just started raking Jacobs over the coals about basketball and suddenly went off the air on my computer?
PF that audio is fantastic!!
Smokey and The Bandit was on the satellite Wednesday night.
I was happy.
"You seemed much taller on radio."
Digger, maybe that's fate messin with me.
Jay,
That quote would now be "you seemed taller on facebook"...
You know...the whole internet hotness conversion factor...and stuff like that.
Random comment from our friends on the Football Forum at ITAT:
"I've always considered (Jay G.)Tate more of an attention whore than a blathering idiot, but a case can me made for both."
They LOVE you over there JGT.
rk - Yeah, we were all cracking up about that. I guess they were just playing it safe or something?
"Oh I love your suits. It must have been a #@!#* to get a 68 Extra Fat and a 12 Dwarf."
From the Plainsman:
Our Tebow,
who art in Gainesville, hallowed be thy name. Thy jump pass come, thy
will be done, in Atlanta as it was last year. Give us this day our
annual Bama beatdown. And forgive us for never letting you beat us (WAR EAGLE!), as we forgive the media for deifying you. And lead us not into redneck chants of "13, baby!" but deliver us from Saban. AMEN.
ITAT..
What kind of goofball would read over there...
(that was me before finding HABOTN)
thanks for granting the request. that was a perfect comin' back from a break song.
I still lurk over there from time to time (obviously).
There are a few posters there who are reasonably intelligent and provide good info & analysis. But on average the place became completely unhinged during the 2008 season.
Jay G was called an attention whore here once...
I admit I occasionally post there under an alter, however.
Freep I do too..
Krusty and Fred banned me from there under my moniker from years ago.....even though I had NEVER posted on the board. They banned me because they didn't like me from Gridscape.
Too funny.
Speaking as someone who recently participated on-air in my employer's current pledge drive (or as I like to call it, "Groveling For Dollar$"), I think JGT's got nuthin' on me in the 'whore' department.
Still can't get the show JGT I gave up. It was sounding interesting too.
Biff,
I'm with you on the Toby Gerhart train!!!!
THT, ye old famous words
The Checks in the mail!
Jay G, working from home, first time listening to the segment, you do a fine job.
mr. td, which one, the fake dmx cover, or the challahback girl mashup?
George:
Trampled comin' up
i missed the entire bloomin' segment. bummer.
Scottie, The appointed time is fast approaching. Help a Hottie out, please. I'm indisposed.
The Challahback girl .. that was great
Rushing the field every time you beat Bama would be silly. Rushing the field after beating a #2 Bama when you are unranked and were givin NO chance at beating them after losing 36-0 last year merits it in my opinion.
I hope Barnhart is correct, but I don't know if my heart can take it..
SEC Championship
It's slow in here today.
Painfully slow.
BEASLEY!!!!
Yeah, I never thought playing Hava Nagila in the background would make a crappy song great, but it does. Amazing.
Ben Ingram is still talking about how awesome the Hatin segment was.
FSJ Barnhart has been high on Bama all year so I am not suprised by his pick.
BTW better run down to the store and get some Bread and Milk SNOW is on the way Ha Ha I will believe it when I see it.
I have to say that Atlanta freaks out more about snow than I ever remember the Gump losing it when I lived there way back when. It may have something to do with that "way back when" part though.
The Noog is pretty bad about going crazy and shutting down everything at the mention of the word snow.
Tyrik's message to you ... via Facebook:
"To the Auburn faithful, I'm sorry. I will get this issue corrected. I want all yall to know I expect more of myself and things will turn around. WAR EAGLE!!!-"
There you have it.
yeah, Wake posted that last night. Way to keep up with your Hotties.
^^
that's a self deprecating joke, in reference to me posting a quote 15 minutes and 7 posts after D Miller did yesterday.
So uh Jay G, can I like have your job?
THT, do you take PayPal?
Michael so I am working and had to step away for a min. but I was at that 2001 game student sec. front row behind the goal post guys were diving back into the stands head first until the yellow coats had all they wanted that is a night I will will my kids about
i was in the student section for that 2001 game as well but i didn't leave my seat. we were up on the 40 yard line against the fence. good times.
you're going to will a historical night to your kids? awesome.
I'm obnoxious and stentorian today. Cover your ears or you'll want to punch me in the face.
trust PF. i've met him twice and i've wanted to punch him in the face both times. ha!
j/k dawg.
I remember watching that 2001 game well...
At one time Tubs was the best big game coach around.
He'd lose to some folks he wasn't supposed to lose to which drove Auburn fans crazy...but there were several years that Auburn beat some teams that nobody gave them a chance to beat.
I think it's funny when people talk about living people like they're dead.
If you are talking about my post about Tubs...
His coaching career is dead right now.
Frankenbummer should was a good blog commentor back in 2008. His wit has been missed.
That pretty much lasted until the end FSJ. Remember UF 07? Obviously he didn't have any of his signature wins in 08. He was always a big game coach. I think 07 was his career in a glance win when you weren't supposed to (UF, 2004) Lose when you weren't (USF, MISS ST, 2003,2008)
not necessarily your post, it just triggered the thought, and how that kind of thing always amuses me.
I'm gonna take a nap, because I'm at home, and nobody can verify my billing when I work from home. Moral Hazard is real!
Sounds like Tyrick will take this as a positive and grow from it.
We all screw up sometimes, hopefully we learn from them and don't repeat them. Sounds like he is on the right track.
How did that extra "c" get in there? Tyrik
Tyrick's episode will be looked at as a chance to grow a couple of years from now. It will make a good five minute segment for ESPN during their pre-show of the Heisman award ceremony .
(i think we all should add the "c" cincy. Go with it!)
Hartsfield Jackson scenery inspires me to say ... Go Gator.
Cincy, I was thinking th same thing about TR.
This may sound weird, but I almost hope that he had a conduct problem rather than grades. It seems easier to get kids attention and correct them regarding conduct than grades. Many kids just won't realize that even in the easy curriculums, the schoolwork should be at least an 8 hour/day commitment.
I hate midget Saban and his Napolean complex, Jesus Jones, and Ingram's meritless Heisman garbage. I would hate the drunk "Bear" if he wasn't dead and rotting, and I despise the ghetto wasteland turd town of Tuscaloser. I hate rammer jammer, mullets, and toothless, delusional rednecks who can't count.
I hate $pUAT and you should too.
the HATE archive is up now in case any of yall missed it....like me.
Eddie, you asked how many women it would end up being for Tiger.
Tiger has 9. He likes to keep everything related to golf. He does well on the front 9, but has trouble with the back 9.
Sorry folks, had to...
Some radio show in Bham said that Tiger felt like things were great..He was only laying two..
(cymbals crash)
Tigers a close. The back 9 is where he does his best work.
closer
DM ..I feel ya with the Bama Hate. I purged a lot of Bama hate in the last 2 weeks and need to let the vessel fill up to be ready for Sat.
The problem I have with this weekend is that I hate UF almost as much as Bama.
My Bama Hate is a general hate of their entire ignorant arrogance and causes me to just make fun of the fools.
My Florida Hate is an animalistic hate of their intelligent, purposeful arrogance. My Florida Hate makes me want to squeeze them by the neck until their eyes pop out.
Ms. Hoopie is trying to help me work out these issues and until they are resolved, I'm not allowed at the Swamp again.
Go Gators for one day... but then I hope they get crushed in the National Championship
Looks like I was unable to pull off a complete quarantine of Tuscaloosa and Gainesville before the teams left. Now, the best thing I can hope for is a prolonged power outage at the Dome. C'mon Blizzard!!!!
I am selling assets to buy furniture for the condo. I have 4 cemetery lots in Dadeville for sale. Not a joke - we just bought at the new cemetery in Auburn and I can't be buried in two places.
So to recap my property for sale - A 2 BR/2BA furnished condo in Auburn, 1 block from campus. 4 cemetery plots in Dadeville. Nice views from both locations :)
Isn't the world a great place!!!
"schoolwork should be at least an 8 hour/day commitment"
Going by Hoopie's standards, I was an awful student.
cincy,
Your post cracked me up...
yeah, that's good stuff Cincy.
so my master plan is to bet on the Outback bowl, in order to pay off my expenses...kind of like double or nothing?
What do y'all think?

Sean .... only bet on games where you think Vegas has missed the line. Don't bet on a game just because you know one of the teams. Never..ever bet with your heart.
Love it, Jet! WIll you do my marketing for me? It sounds so much better the way you describe it.
Yeah, never bet on Auburn unless they are a double digit underdog. We tend to do well in beating the odds on that.
I've bet on AU 5 times this year, and am 5-0 ATS.
which means I'm due to lose so...I guess I probably should stay away.
My only rule when it comes to betting, is I never bet with money that I need. I will lose if I do.
Eddie, what is the condition of the Rollison Express? Did it hit a tree? If it did hit said tree, did the tree give, or did the Rollison Express?
I can't speak for Eddie, but I do believe there was something that was hit.
Anybody know if the Prattville/Hoover championship game is on TV tonight? It's my alma mater vs. my city of residence. Not sure who I'm for in that game, but I am sure of one thing this weekend...Go Gators!
My HS alma mater is playing in their first state final in TN. Go Bucs!
Sean, Hoover are the Bucs, too.
The news on Rollison does make me nervous. As we all know, a player in trouble at Auburn can disappear quicker than TARP dollar.
...and AU is playing in the Bucs' stadium on Jan. 1. Maybe I need to be for Hoover tonight.
Hmmm, the only superstition I believe in was by Stevie Wonder.
Ruh Roh....anybody see this coming out of LSU?
LSU
Prattville has not lost to an in-state team since 2005, that's 54 straight games. They are looking to tie the record of 4 straight 6A state titles, held by...Hoover. Should be a good match-up.
Did someone say Superstition?
Stevie
By the way....TGIF....
Weekend
How's Prattville's offense?
I know Hoover has been putting up a bunch of points.
Friends of mine said they beat the Mike Dubose out of Gadsden last weekend.
I knew about the Hoover Bucs, the missus is an alum.
Superstition is the only song my husband can play better than me on Guitar Hero.
I used to love that song, now I just get mad when I hear it.
So, uh LSU's band director retires, huh?
Hoover's offense is better than Prattville's. The defenses are probably close to even. One intangible is that if Hoover does not win, they will be first senior class this decade to graduate without a ring. Prattville's seniors have three already.
Superstition is a great song.
Funky Stevie Wonder from the 70's was awesome, almost as awesome as love song Stevie Wonder of the 80's was bad.
FSJ ... Can't get LSU link. What up?
yeah, looks like your story has been taken off that site, FSJ.
Would not mind LSU getting hammered.
I thought people at LSU were always getting hammered?
USA with a good draw in the World Cup!
Group C
England
USA
Algeria
Slovenia
US should've been given a top seed.
Well without being a top seed, it ain't bad. It could be like Group G.
Brazil
N. Korea
Ivory Coast
Portugal
South Africa
France
Mexico
Uruguay
doesn't look easy, either.
Thanks for the World Cup draw info. I knew it was coming out today, but didn't know what time.
if you had cared, you would've watched it on ESPN360.com as guys with funny accents said each team, one by one...I didn't care, either.
I'm rectangular. Stupid meetings.
England vs. USA, who ya got?
I don't really want to see LSU hit with recruiting violations. There is only one team I wish that upon... you guessed it: Grambling. No wait, I mean Alabama. Yeah, Alabama.
US has a chance to advance, for sure.
Group G is the Group of Death.
Sean...draw.
England will start cautious I think. The altitude of Rustenberg might mess with them a bit as well.
Algeira and Slovenia are dream matchups on the face of it, but any time the US has to take the game to somebody and not play their counterattacking style, it's hard work.
I like the draw for the USA. Good group to be in. Hopefully we perform much better than last World Cup.
Michael, I wouldn't mind seeing Mount Union knocked off their lofty perch. But then, do D-III schools even recruit? Ok, fine, I'll settle for UA-T gettin the death penalty.
j-z = today's clutch performer!
I think it's funny that Blizzard 2009 is gonna snow out the SECCG tailgates...then knock the power out to the Dome so the game can't be played.
I left the gump for north of ATL almost 5 years ago and can vouch that ATL seems to get more worked up over snow than gump does. I'll have you know that I went to the store today and I did not purchase either bread or milk. I am fairly well stocked on beer. I don't need a stinking sandwich. I do miss seeing the WSFA news reports interviewing the former pistol packing mayor standing next to a dump truck loaded with sand.
Ole Em'ry was ready for the snow and the mayhem that would shortly ensue thereafter wasn't he Norm?!? I'm sure he was just itchin' to impose a curfew for that, or anything else he could for that matter.
Em'ry's Army!
Jay G,
Will Dontae Aycock be appearing on the radio?
Sorry guys..don't know what happened to the story.
The LSU student paper reported that there is an issue with a player that redshirted this year receiving money from an LSU assistant to come to the Bayou...
PF that'd be funny as hell if Alabama and Florida didn't do the tailgate thing because of the "snow". Although as I think about it, there's not really a place to tailgate at the dome is there? I've never been to the championship game, just did the activities around the civic center.
Looks like that got deleted pretty quickly.
Alligator bit him in the Louisiana bayou...
Mr.TD,
there's plenty of places to tailgate around the Dome. Not quite like what I'm used to, but it's there. Go down for a Falcons game. It's a different world.
there're
FSJ- Is this the link you were looking for?
LSU Coach Paid Player?
there're? I think I may have to start using that. I did do a tailgate for a Falcons game a good while back. But I'm not sure I was within eyeshot of the stadium. It's definitely different than tailgating on campus, that is for certain.
Ah, they took the story down..here is the story, still open in my window. Interesting...
Source: McCarthy paid Akiem Hicks to come to LSU

LSU junior defensive lineman Akiem Hicks allegedly received money from wide receivers coach D.J. McCarthy to transfer to LSU from Sacramento City Community College in California, The Daily Reveille learned on Thursday.
This transaction led to an NCAA violation that a source familiar with the situation said became known to the team following the Arkansas game last Saturday.
“It was one of those things they try to avoid bringing up, but everybody knows who’s involved,” said the source, who is a former member of the LSU football team. “That right there is a big deal. Minor violations don’t even break the news.”
LSU would not stand to forfeit any wins as a result of the violations because Hicks did not play in any games for the Tigers this season, but Hicks’ eligibility remains would remain unclear as a result of the investigation.
“Taking money turns you into a professional, and that affects your amateurism,” the source said. “If you’re not an amateur, you can’t play in the NCAA.”
McCarthy is apparently planning to leave LSU with running backs coach Larry Porter to be on the coaching staff at Porter’s alma mater, Memphis, the source said.
Tennessee wide receivers coach Frank Wilson has been offered a job on the LSU coaching staff, according to GoVolsXtra.com, the Tennessee sports Web site of the Knoxville News-Sentinel.
Wilson, who would reportedly fill Porter’s role, has worked with both wide receivers and running backs during his coaching career.
“They don’t really talk about that either,” the source said. “We kind of knew who was going to leave with [former LSU defensive coordinator Bo] Pelini. McCarthy is probably leaving with [Porter]. If he does, he’s going to probably get a higher offensive position.”
While LSU coach Les Miles’ contract states he has “an obligation personally to comply with and to exercise due care that all personnel and students subject to his direct control or authority comply with governing athletic rules,” LSU Chancellor Michael Martin released a statement Tuesday saying Miles’ job will not be affected by the alleged violations.
“This situation has absolutely zero impact on the employment contract of coach Les Miles,” Martin said in the statement. “He has been highly cooperative in this matter and from the earliest stages has actively participated in the process of resolving this situation.
that llks like the same one FSJ is linked to now Eddie. That story's just not going to get out.
looks
Oh that story
And that's why Norm's a pro flipper
Stop flipping it NORM :)!
Norm going to make sure the story gets buried here also.
Stroke it Clarence Carter
I've missed this the last couple of days.
I won't be denied now.
Norm, you need a beer.
Flip
So with that said...
