It gets better
Hey everyone. So John Brice from VolQuest.com has posted an exclusive interview with Lane Kiffin, which includes this great exchange.
VQ: Will you miss not being able to needle Urban Meyer, or will you still needle him from the West Coast?
LK: No, it's good. Now I can do it and not get fined for it.
And some of you all don't like this guy? Come on.

Yes. I was first post the other day, and finally flipped a page today. No wonder Jay didn't demote me on the HABOTN list. I'm just now coming into my own.
OK, boys, better watch it with the marriage jokes :)
I need no one's pity Mr. Bammer. I went back to doing some work for the man. Well, in that case, maybe I do need some pity. Sucks to be shortstaffed in Q4 and inherit projects from someone who successfully managed to screw every single one of them up.
Yeah, Norm, hubby is in Atlanta all week trying to salvage someone's mess. So much easier to do it right the first time.
so has anyone figured out why Antonio Coleman wasnt invited to the NFL combine?
Cincy, when I got married, I took my pants off and made my wife put them on. She tried them and said, "I can't wear these, they're way to big. I said...That's right. I wear the pants in this family. She took her panties off and made me put them on. I couldn't get them past my knees and said no way I could get in those panties. She said, that's righ, and you aren't going to unless things change around here. Bada Boom.
Sponge is on fire. Maybe he could go to work for Leno. Wait...that may not work.
Cute :)
Rich Rodriquez? I just read something mentioning RRod as a replacement? Wouldn't that be like playing russian roulet with a bolt action riffle?
OK... I'm done.
Man, Kiffikin gets no respect/
I'm out too. I'm exhausted. Work truly sucks these days. Cleaning up messes created/enabled by others is not my idea of a good time. It gets in the way of my HABOTN time. See ya when I see ya.
Nite norm. Nite all. battery about dead anyway.

It really does just keep getting better! I am sadly going to miss Kiffin and his zany antics.
BREAKING...
VOLNATION.COM saying Muschamp to UTenn for 5 yr/3.5 per
Good info, jhag. This could get interesting.
OT-My daughter has a class this time that is requiring Windows OS. She has an iMac notebook. Other than giving her my extra desktop that runs Windows for the semester, what can she do. i am not an expert on Apple notebooks.
wtc,
Tylerson says she can install Windows on her iMac. He said if she would find out which version of Windows she needs - 7, Vista, XP - he could get it and install it for her.
This is a fun, light-hearted article about the Outback Bowl. If someone has posted it, I missed it.
Auburn Jerseys
Where the heck is everyone? Still hungover from last night's news?
wtc,
She can run Windows in boot camp or parallels. boot camp is built into Mac OS but it requires a reboot into Windows to use it. Parallels will allow it to run at the same time, but you have to purchase it seperately
wtc,
Tyler said he has access to windows, he just needs to know what version she needs. She will be able to run windows without having to buy anything. I think her condo is pretty close to our new one?
Thanks for the help. I will ask her thursday what she wants to do.
looks to be rumors now...who knows what to believe in college football these days?
Virginia beat Georgia Tech tonight and is 2-0 and is currently atop the ACC standings as the only remaining unbeaten team in conference play.
We beat this team (albeit on a last second put back from Knox).
Go figure.
Another article on Muschamp.
Muschamp staying at Texas
Anyone else awake?
There is nothing on TV at 1 in the morning. I've watched Sportscenter a zillion times - no new news there, watched the last half of The Way We Were, now on a 2nd episode of Law & Order. Wish I would get sleepy or something good would come on.
Teddy Pendergrass has passed away. For those who don't know, he was a great R&B/soul singer. He was only 59 years old.
Good morning, Hotties. It's off to work we go... in search of a coach for poor ol' Rocky Top.
It looks as though the Muschamp sweepstakes have come to an end. Apparently they didn't have the powerball # correct.
Where does UT go now...hmm??
"VOLNATION.COM saying Muschamp to UTenn for 5 yr/3.5 per"
They aren't paying 3.5 per year for a 1st year HC.
They probably aren't paying that much for someone they hire that has experience.
Why does everyone think Muschamp will be this great head coach?
ehyou- He has the "perceived" it factor. He relates well to the kids and is a heck of defensive coach. Also, he really excites fan bases. Anytime you hire an unproven coach, you take a gamble, but the rewards can be great if right.
Also looks like we went from being a leader from Thorton to almost being out of it. Maybe WTC's Mom can clarify for those of us that don't follow recruiting.
The idea of hiring a perceived "it" factor seems good on paper, or to fans whose jobs aren't on the line. If I'm an AD at a major program, hiring Boom is too large a chance unless he is taking over such as at Texas.
Boom is either just honoring his commitments to Texas or isn't sure that he is ready to step up, or both.
The only thing that could make all of this even more fun, and entertaining is if it were happening in West Alabama. I hate basking in the trainwreck that is UT football right now but... actually I don't mind it at all. Nevermind, and let the coaching search continue.
Boom probably thinks there is a chance UGA will open up in a couple of years.
Sorry to break it to ya, tennessee, but muschamp will not take the vols job.
I don't know why they would even want that ... saban's pathetic little lapdog to coach for them.
Aeronaut- Muschamp is anything but a lap dog, I respectfully disagree there.
Look, some chances work out, some don't. At some point, a good coach will take that leap from coordinator to HC. Would most schools prefer HC experience, sure. Just because they don't have HC experience mean they will fail? Definitely not. Gambling is gambling, and everytime a school hires a coach, they play that game. Some gambles are safer than others. No offense, but if I was a UT fan, I would rather have Boom anyday compared to Calhoun & Cutcliffe.
You are 100 percent correct, Eduardo.
If the decision is a "no," then I think his decision is based on what I stated last night regarding reason No. 1 (see below).
1. He thinks UGA or LSU will be open this time next year.
2. He may be wondering if the AD that hires him will be there this time next year.
I said this 13 months ago ... he's gonna be kicking people's @$$e$ somewhere.
I'm sorry, but I've seen no name in the search that is prepared for the craziness at UT and provides the charisma necessary to be a head coach in the SEC.
mornin' peeps.
i'll be covering the AU-UT men's basketball tonite live from Section 317, Row 20. i'll try to keep the game as close as i can. however, if something happens when i'm at the concession stand, well...., there's not much i can do about that.
WDE.
Maybe I just don't like the dude since he helped orchestrate the willis thing.
Aero,
Please refrain from name calling.
:-)
Scottie,
I thought about making the trip myself, but couldn't get out of previous dinner plans.
mrs. scottie got me tickets for christmas. i haven't been to a game here since AU-UT 2 years ago. TBA is pretty sweet since the renovation 2 yrs ago. very nice.
Eddie, I heard that Thornton wasn't likely to make the trip to Auburn this weekend. Not sure why, unless he's not interested.
My due apologies to those that are fans of will muschamp.
Is UT not equal to UGA & LSU in football tradition? It is in my mind. I guess he does have ties to both of the others and none to UT.
A nice Krootin' Link
What doesn't WTC's mom have to say?
Should be does, not doesn't. Sorry just started working. :P
Yup ..UT sure has a mess going on "rite-now", but Rocky Top should probably consider this a blessing. LK is an arrogant tool and I think in the long run would have always done more harm than good there.
He's not our coach, so it's been fun to watch/listen to him embarass UT. I don't like him and would hate it if he was our coach. Can't believe I'm saying this, but Al Davis was right.
The continuation of the LK show will take place in La-La land ...what more appropriate place?. Forthcoming sanctions from the NCAA and inevitable word-wars with Neuhousel should keep CFB fans interested, Shelley busy and thus ESPN ratings up.
I like Boom. He has matured and calmed down since leaving AU. Brown's grooming is working. I am impressed with his patience. Although he has matured, I'm not sure his core personality suited to enter into a mess like UT has going on. UGA or UTx are much more stable environs and more suited to him.
