it's stinkin' hot, that's how hot it is. And hotter tomorrow. Will winter ever get here?
88 in Southern Pines right now...glad I'm not there today.
The good news is humidity is 17% which must be a record low.
Anybody got some Auburn news to discuss?
Holy crap. Just looked at the national map on weather.com. It's hotter than here all the way up to Chicago. I'm enjoying 76, sunny and breezy right now. It's in the mid/low 80s from Chi-town to Charleston. Suckas!
It's 53 where Norm is. He's laughing at you right now, THT. I can hear him.
I'm sure 2.0 is too, although hopefully she's laughing in her sleep. I'm sweating like a pulpwooder. If I turn on the AC will y'all promise not to tell MrsTHT?
I won't tell, but my A/C runs year round...She'll find out when your electricity bill goes from $20 to $100, though.
she doesn't see the electric bill!
I like the Charlottesville, VA area.
Which Hottie wants to step up to the plate and buy This House for me?
Video tour HERE
It's kinda ugly inside. The study is awesome, though, and the movie theatre would be if they had better chairs. The outside and grounds are RIDICULOUS (in a good way). Mrs.THT would insist you be on the lawn mower every waking moment.
I'd need to cover up the phalluses in the hallway. No need to have to look at that every time you walk to the kitchen or living room.
eewww that house has guys weiners in it. No thanks. The media room is pretty sweet .Lotsa room to ride 4-wheelers and hit golf balls though
on second look, the hallway statues look removable. those would have to go in the yard to serve as targets/distance markers for golf ball hitting.
Speaking of boobs and Auburn, there was a picture of some in this past week's Plainsman, right on the front page.
The paper is really picking it up since management switched over. A lot more quality stories and general writing improvements.
y'all are hilarious.
I can't even begin to imagine the annual cost of just keeping that place up. Nobody on this earth needs a house that big.
I could get used to waking up to that view off the front porch.
What happen to the baseball team last night?
I don't like it. The media room needs more comfortable seating. Maybe some beanbags or something.
WellAu would you care to post a link so we can see the boobs(and Auburn) that you speak of?
CH=B I agree
Auppl.blogspot.com did a story on it with pictures.
Also includes a take on the lack of journalism majors making the paper lower quality. Interesting that Wells thinks differently.
Looks like we could get a couple of commitments pretty soon. Dimukes and O'Reilly, both pretty good lineman. It that happens we would be halfway done with that position. We could really focus on some defensive players and some more skill players.
The paper was absolutely awful for most of the time I've been here. The past month or two has seen it pick up to solid. It's not outstanding by any means, though.
I'll look for a link.

Only the article, no pictures. Sorry.
Pics(SWF edit) and story from the site I mentioned...
Also, they have a good article going on over there about Auburn's chance of making regionals (screw Hoover, NCAA, baby!). Rivals has AU as a 2 seed in the Tallahassee draw. College baseball blog has Auburn HOSTING. Holy schnikeys. There's a long way to go (and I don't buy hosting if they can't get the error stat under control), but that's promising.
Wow. Explain how Bama becomes an 8 seed when LSU wins the SEC? Maybe I'm misreading the posting. That's awesome if we can pull off hosting a regional. Hopefully it'd result in a trip to a super then maybeeeee... that place... in Nebraska...
Wells,
Don't say stuff like that. I shouldn't have said what I said. We cannot jinx this. I feel okay with saying Hoover is a "Book It" certainty, though.War Damn Eagle.
p.s. CWS is on my bucket list, with or without Auburn ever making it. If Auburn ever gets in, I'm dropping everything to go to that place in Nebraska.
I have a conference in Starkville next week. The outing that night is at the State baseball game. I'll scout 'em.
If Auburn makes the NCAA's, CWS, or a BCS game in the next two years, I will screw classes and go straight to said location.
I'll go with a book it on Hoover as well. This was just a goofy week. UK and Bama lost yesterday too. I think Paws is going to give it to the players and we'll see the errors drop off a bit. We'll get the bats and baserunning back in order this weekend, and take at least 2/3 from the cousin humpers.
Sorry PF I have been gone all day so I couldn't respond. Pantie raids were in vogue when I was at Auburn. A bunch of guys would stand outside the old dorms (new at that time). And scream we want panties and some would theaten to go inside. Wouldn't be long till panties were flying out of the wndows all over the place. Of course you could see if they came out of a drawer or what. With the frenzy to get a pair you were lucky if you did.
Umm...awkward.
Were you around for the Great Panty Raid of '47 that Dean Foy spoke of, Digger?
awkward? Did you mean AWESOME?
I may have, yes.
PF ... I can say that my father was on campus in '47.
Did he ever talk about the great panty raid?
What is NSFW?????????????
NSFWdefined
PF - did he talk about it? That man had such a way with words, I bet he painted a verbal picture of it so vivid that it was as if Jet had been there himself.
No I was there from 1952 - 1956
but it could have been the insparation for what we did. Big fight broke out at one of them between KA's & Sig 's. I left before the local castopo got there.
I don't believe the "streak" had come of age at this time.
I went streaking once. The best part of that particular story is where I went streaking. It was at a certain large white house on S. Perry Street in Montgomery. I'll also say that that same night, I sprayed Silly String all over someone's wheelchair, though it was vacant at the time.
Thank you PF.....I am officially stupid!
Norm, did C'nelia tell you to stop that crap and pass her the prescription pills and Cutty Sark?
I have been reading Shon Coleman's Caring Bridge site. It is amazing how many Auburn people have written to wish him health and prayers. The Auburn family is incredible.
Ben Tate punk'd his Facebook friends.
Y'all been taking about the streaking at AU in 1974.
That was one hellava good time. I was a senior. It was so hot...as in the weather... and everybody was getting restless. I remember it was close to the end of the quarter back in the day. That guy that streaked from Haley Center down toward Commons started someth ing.
It eventually evolved into a crazy week of streaking. One night a bunch of people....including me.... showed up at the intramural fields and parked the cars in a huge circle with the lights shining in the middle. All hell broke loose and people starting tearing their clothes off and running around like a bunch of crazies. Like I said it was hot.....and crazy!
Great memories.....streaking, drinking Red, White and Blue beer (yuk, all we could afford), eating Doritos and listening to "Dancing in the Moonlight!"
I realize more and more that I went to Auburn at a very special time.
Never been streaking....
Although I did have a girlfriend in college answer the door..
well nevermind.
you guys crack me up with your stories.
Cincy, that is a good story about your dad. If he had stayed, he would have a very shapely vase.
CHB-Dismukes visited AU last weekend, UAt on Monday and coming back to AU Friday. Says he should make a decision real soon. maybe a very good sign for AU. Lookout for the kid from AZ that has ties to the state. His grandparents live at Lake Martin. He is visiting UAt soon, but I have heard AU is the leader and he has not visited Au yet.

PF - I'd love to play. Oh, wait. I'm in the land of fruits and nuts. Sorry, I can't make it tomorrow.
Jet - She probably snuck quite a few of whatever she could get her hands on that night.
PF-I just rad where our 3rd baseman is 2nd in the SEC in errors. That is not good, but then our shortstop is 3rd in the SEC in errors. Between them , they have 21 of the 49 errors on this team. Not good for winning baseball.
Don't be late after spring break:
more lateness
Yep. Gamache and Hargett are error machines.
I think they have a error jar that's getting quite a pizza party fund in it by now.
I'm skeptical about the whole NCAA projections because of the errors.
Me too. AU will not do well in Hoover if they do not clean up the errors. I think the worse part is how easy some of the plays have been that they made errors on.
the 3rd baseman had an easy out against Troy on a grounder and threw it so bad to 1st that the runner from 2nd and the runner on 1st scored. That is a BAD throw.
wtc - please tell your mom that I appreciate the updates.
I've got to stop falling asleep so early. MrsTHT had me watching a very dull movie last night.
Odds are there will not be another flip in this thread.
Late night!
ok, I woke up dry as a peach pit and I've guzzled down a diet coke. I'm going to leave it to the nocturnal Hotties and head back to bed. See y'all in the morning.
Good morning, Hotties!!!
Time to rise and shine!!!
(except for PF, who's been up working all night and still going strong)
WARRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
Happy Good Friday, Hotties!
Good morning all. It's a beautiful morning. I remember Fridays like this at Auburn. Of course I would still be asleep, but the joy of waking up on a sunny spring Friday in Auburn was great. Now I have to waste this wonderful day by going to work.
Happy Good Friday Morning Hotties. Hope everyone is doing well.
It is a postcard day here in the rich creamy Nooga, and I am stuck doing a spreadsheet at work.
I think I am going to knock off early and work on the barren wasteland that is my back yard.
Any interesting plans Hotties?
I have a variety of insignificant meetings, a lunch time talk to a civic club, a period of meditiation to hate UAT.
Stu - I didn't have any interesting plans at all, just work, until I read Jet's post. I, too, will have some hate filled meditation. It will feel so soothing.
Hi Luv, CH=B, et al.
I'm really wondering why PF invited me to some random soccer players fan page on facebook.
The only soccer player I'm interested one is that one from New Mexico that was beating the crap out of the other girls. She was hot.
hot in a burly sort of way, perhaps.
Hey Luv,
I was thinking about you yesterday. How's the back?
