Baseball cracks the Top 25

Hey everyone. Auburn baseball earned a pair of pleasant surprises today when outfielder Justin Fradejas was named the SEC's Player of the Week and the team moved to No. 23 in the Baseball America rankings.

Fradejas went 9-for-19 at the plate with three doubles, six RBIs and six runs scored last week. The team went 4-1 during that stretch with a series win against LSU.

Auburn hadn't been ranked since the 2007 season.

I saw over at Bitter where Bynes predicted either Newton or CAUDLE to be the spring game MVP if we passed a lot.

I was certain that would spark serious QB ponderings from SFC.

I think Bynes is trying to make the coaches happy with that quote. I am sure it was like "Cam Newton................. or Neil Caudle. Yeah, that's it. Caudle."

Winning the weekend series on regional tv put us on the baseball map.

Nice article today JG.

From what the beat hacks have been able to discuss, what type of scrimmage should we expect Saturday?

I am thinking that since it is on TV, and AU has more bodies than last year, it will be closer to a game type scrimmage than just a few drills and simple 11 on 11. I am looking for some head knocking this weekend.

The offensive line will get a "rouge" if a drive goes longer than three plays and no offensive lineman gets a false start.

The kicking team gets six points for every kickoff that doesn't go out of bounds and the return team doesn't return it to midfield.

"Well you see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive drinking of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

I have 664 profile views, I'm roughly 1/2 as popular as Jan Terri and 1/3 as popular as SC. I used to think I was cool, now I know I am not.

I'm going to click on my own profile for the rest of the afternoon so I look cool.

You think I'm kidding.

Appreciate it Norm.

I got bored after two clicks. My new idea is to stand on a street corner with a sign saying will work for clicks.
