And to soothe any frayed nerves over this, I'm not talking about charging for the site or anything.

I'm just saying ... I want HABOTN veterans to be able to do things "regular" people can't do. That's all.

8:52 AM
Blogger Eddie McCoy said...

So otherwise, if you speak up here on a constant basis, access granted...I Like it.

8:53 AM

Exactly.

Eddie, you have nothing to worry about. None of you all do.

I love the sound of premium content based on your HABOTN results...it's very American.

I think people should have to pay to read our conversations here and we should charge double for puppet hour.

I think veterans should be the only ones starting threads. I know many of you all personally and I trust that you won't be a nutjob on a more open board.

Regular people can comment on your topics but cannot start their own.

Smezmerizations 2.0:

1. J-Z actually contacted me via FB the other night. He says he and Carmela are doing quite well, are madly in love, and enjoying their whirlwind tour of Europe. Unfortunately, they didn't realize Florence and Athens were in north Alabama and Rome was in Georgia. I didn't have the heart to tell them.

2. Welcome to CincyTiger. To affirm your commitment to HABOTN (a requirement for newbies), a gift to the HOTTIES is required. Say, if you had a daughter who made peanut butter cookies, then perhaps you could have her make a batch for the group.

G, good news on the new board. Only concern I have is that there is another blog that allows new threads to be started and it makes the blog much less intimate than this one. Hopefully your set up will work much better. The people on here are much smarter than on that blog so there shouldn't be any problems. We should however outlaw threads pertaining to goats, tazers, soccer and hockey.

Let me be clear. Spencer Region or any other football player ought to sign where he wants to sign and play where he wants to play. If Region, who committed to Auburn three months ago, decides to go elsewhere, so be it. He has a right to change his mind and shouldn't be skewered or even criticized for doing it.
However, I'm a bit confused as to how Alabama coach Nick Saban can encourage Region or any other athlete to back out on a commitment to one school and come to his school without opposing what he has said are his own values. P. Marshall

1:18 PM

I was definitely torn. I think in the end I wanted Arsenal to win just because they needed it more. It ended up being a blessing as the new manager for Celtic was not very good and since he's left they're undefeated in the SPL.

What does anything I ever put out here have to do with anything? Usually not much. I'm just gigging you fancy pants soccer fans.

I don't like soccer, that much is clear. Some of you do. Fine.

Plenty of dirty plays in my previously mentioned good old American sports have happened. That was certainly a dirty one. But, it was nowhere near the groin and no mouth or teeth were involved.

You may call me many things, but never call my pants fancy.

Well, the thing about that one is that apparently it was from a teammate and was part of a goal celebration. So I don't know that it was meant as anything harmful.

Is it weird? Absolutely to the tenth degree.

Sad to say, I will be at a hideously boring banquet tonight. I will be counting on fellow HOTTIES to provide updates from Samford Stadium/Hitchcock Fielf/Plainsman Park..

Try not to clutter up the thread with soccer talk, too.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Soccer is for ninnys.

Football has eye gouging ..that's respectable violence.

Baseball has Ty Cobb with sharpened spikes and pitchers throwing bean balls ...that's violence apropo for the sport.

Soccer has biting other men's groins? ...well that's just gay.

...oh wait ...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Homer ...we're in the football doldrums, so ...even though I could care less about soccer or hockey, it's better than nothing.

We just need more sports celebs doing stoopid stuff that we can criticize.

Who was it that challenged Harrison's ability to field a single punt and made the Devin Hester comment? Has he been back?
