Morris, Fletcher earn high praise
Hey everyone. Hunter Morris and Brian Fletcher, a pair of young men who play baseball at Auburn University, were named to the All-America team today.
A deserving achievement, if you ask me.
You didn't. But if you had ...
Morris, a first baseman, was named to the first team. Fletcher, an outfielder, is part of the second team.
Morris was the Southeastern Conference's Player of the Year after leading the league in homers, RBI, slugging percentage and total bases. Not too shabby. He was a fourth-round selection of the Milwaukee Brewers last week.
(It's pronounced "mill-e-wah-kay," which is Algonquin for "the good land.")
His final line looked a little something like this: .386-23-76.
Fletcher went .357-22-75. He was an 18th-round pick of the Kansas City Royals.

Baby Substance
I hate it that baseball is over, but it brings us that much closer to football!!
I havent commented in two years... but that Wayne's World reference was exceptional
Hey Earle! Keep on postin'
I heard on 33/40 sports that Hunter Morris signed for a bonus of $219,000 with the Brewers.
So he is gone.
Looking forward to football predictions:
If the QB lives up to expectation and barring injuries on the Defense, I can see AU being 10-1 or 11-0 headed to UAt next season. Realistically look at the schedule and see where they will not be favored in any of the 1st 11 games.
I am not saying there will not be some hard games, but I can respectfully say that AU can be at 10 wins or better by that game.
Go ahead and post your replies. Let me know what you think.
Shame that those picks are the 4th round and the 18th round, despite them both being all-americans.
Very odd how things translate/don't to the professional levels in all sports.
wtc, I say spot on. We return so many key starters and have some added depth help on defense. Our offense will be even more potent; all the players are familiar with the system by now.
I'll say the SECW comes down to the iron bowl, and the winner takes the momentum to the SEC and potential national championship games.
AU averaged 33 points per game last year. Not sure they can go much higher, but I think the defense, by virtue of better depth, can hold teams to less then last years average of 28 per game.
The experience for the players was valuable last year. It hurt, a lot, but will certainly pay off this fall.
I see 3 or 4 games that are potential stumbles before the Iron Bowl. 11-0 is possible but I think 9-2 is more likely.
wtc, i will hold you personally responsible for all my disappointments if we are not at least 10-1 heading into the iron bowl due to your vast enthusiasm 80 days out (btw, happy marcel willis day).
however, if your enthusiasm carries us to that record then you will be treated to a lemonade of your choice at toomer's on me. so, you've got that going for you. ;)
or a limeade, if that is your pleasure. I admire your confidence, wtc. I hope Fannin and Dyer can fill Ben Tate's shoes. Heck, I hope Dyer turns out to be more along the lines of a Ronnie/Carnell mix...that would be even better. Then there's Cam. I don't have a clue what his stats are going to look like. And on defense, surely we can't be worse than last year's worst scoring defense ever at AU. Can we be good? I'm still concerned we don't have the run stuffers we need in the trenches. I'm expecting 8-4 in the regular season, with the 8th win coming on the day after T'giving.
Cincy,
My mother-n-law bought so many outfits before FAUWG was born, but she didn't get to wear half of the. She was 8lbs 12 oz and 21" long so she was born bigger than new born stuff.
WTC, I like the way you think. I think we may lose two before the walmartians. My prediction previously has been 10-2 with a victory in the Iron bowl.
Thanks, Earle.
Remember I didn't say AU would not lose, I just they they can have a 10+ win season by that game.
Here is why I think that.
Defense has more depth. Some players can get off the return teams and play defense only. Some defensive players will get longer breaks between series. I could not keep up with how many offensive series AU had last year where they ran 3 and out under 1 1/2 minutes. There were many under 1 minute. If that occurs this year, at least the defensive players will have depth to provide some relief.
JayGT - I hope you are enjoying WC as much as LGGB is. Thanks for keeping us going over here on HABOTN.
A concern I had last year was the decisoins of Gus and Chizik. I don't know fo rsure, but I would say Chizik got a 14 point lead in the 3 games AU was that far ahead and he thought (as defensive guys before him did, Tubbs and Dye) that was enough to win. You knwo those two other coaches would do that every game if they were up by 14. I think GUs was asked to dial it down. He doesn't do that very well. I think that will not happen this year.
Gus has not had a repeating QB since he has been in college football. He will not this year either. He does have a QB with more tools than the others he has had. Who among us thought Todd would set records at AU in 2009? Who thought he would be the QB? Gus can work a QB into his system. Cam is an unknown, but I have to believe that if Gus thought he saw a winner in Todd, he has seen a winner in Cam.
Good thoughts, wtc. These make a lot of sense.
dialing it down is definitely frustrating
RB may not be as good as last year, at the start of the year. Tate was a hoss. Best back in the state according to him, and he was very good. I am not sold on Fannin yet. He looks the part. Dyer looks the part also. I have mentioned he is not 18 years old. He will close to 20, or may already be there, by the time play begins. There is ahuge difference between an 18 year old and a 20 year old. When I was 18 there were plenty of 20 & 21 year old tight ends, fullbacks and running backs that jnew how to take advantage of an 18 year old freshman, on the field. Maturity does matter. he has it.
IF (big if) AU improves on the reurn team, especially punts, they will be much better off. Look for Reed to be a big factor here. my goal is to have 0 fumbles and triple our 1/2 yard average from 2009.
Several freshmen will have to contribute. But it is not like AU hauled in the #30 ranked class and will be counting on those freshmen to contribute. Look at prior classes for UAt, LSU, OK, UF, that were highly rated nand the team went on to win. Even after the 1st year of a highly rated class. You just have to have players and AU got players last year. They filled needs. With Dline kids that were redshirted that will play and a couple of incoming freshmen (Whittaker, Lemonier, Sanders, Bonomolo) that can spell the returners (I think Whittaker rotates with the 1st team early) you have to say they will be improved.
I didn't say dominate. I think they are a ways out from that, but able to stop others from scoring 28 per game is the goal here and they can do that.
BTW-if AU gets the recruits they are after and I have heard are coming to AU, the secondary may be rated the #1 or #2 in the nation.
D-line will also be rated very high. Top 5 if the signals mom is getting are correct.
wtc,
I like your mom. I want to grow up to be like her.
me too!
hockey season is over so I've switched my avatar back to my driver's license photo.
Aaarrrrgggghhhh. I just had a chance for a "FELIPE ALOU!!!" and blew it. Still my all-time favorite Brave, though Niekro is awfully close.
Congrats to Hunter and Trent...sure gonna miss 'em.
Now back to football.
Jay Jacobs is a privileged idiot.
It is a bit early for predictions, but I will go for it.
Yes, I thought Todd would be the starter if he was healthy. I said as much after some comments Ben Tate made about him last summer. I must admit, I didn't expect him to do as well as he did and the prediction was more based on the alternatives than thinking Todd would be great. He was an average QB that had a great season due to the system.
Defensively, it is hard to not see us being improved. The secondary may be a bit of concern, but if the resurrected safeties work out, it should be pretty solid.
The special teams will have to be improved. Last season we had the worst special teams I can remember from an Auburn team. Yes, I know there were reasons, but it was bad.
As for offensively, that is a big question mark, mainly because we replace the starting QB and starting TB. Todd played smart. Tate was very solid and stayed amazingly healthy considering the beating he took. The concern here is that those positions have the unique ability to lose games with small mistakes. That is the concern, but the jury is out. Fannin has been probably criticized more than he deserves for fumbling. Newton is a question mark, although it is good he has JUCO experience. We will just have to wait and see how he handles SEC speed. The upside is we may have the best set of receivers we have ever had at Auburn, although some need experience.
My guess is 9-3. Less than 8 wins would be very disappointing. More than 10 wins would be incredible.
tl;dr
Here is a story on Utah and I find it almost certain they will join the Pac10.
WTC ...
I concur that Auburn will be favored in perhaps every game (LSU) prior to the visit to the bowels of Sheol, where the worm does not die.
Pros: Experienced offensive line, playmakers at WR, solid placekicker, increased depth, particularly on special teams.
Cons: Questionable front 4 pressure on QB, LBs in pass coverage, experience in secondary.
The great unknowns: QB and RB. Both positions are potentially explosive. Today, they remain question marks that can become exclamation points.
WTC, speaking of Mom what is she hearing about some pending commitments?
I don't have a problem with Chiz slowing down the offense last year ... particularly with the lack of depth that our defense had.
As far as pacing, my preference would be to accelerate slowly. Get a first down or at least 3 plays on the defense before you hammer down. Once you are 5-6 plays into a drive, 100 mph is fine. Before that, you can expose your defense quickly if you're going 3 and out.
Jet- Au did that a lot last year. 3 and out that is.
CHB-she has a lot of info. What you like to know?
Jet - a progressively faster offensive tempo. Very interesting concept. I don't think I've ever seen something quite like you describe. The 2nd quarter of the TN game last year may be the closest implementation, and the was more of ' let's do it faster'.
lateness = typos, I'm out.
WTC,
We do have a very favorable schedule next year. If we get any offensive consistency and improved D, I can see us with a great record.
It seems like for the past two years (with 2 separate coaching staffs), we've gotten out to good starts in games, but can't keep up the pace once a defense adjusts.
How many games have we lead at the half or even going into the 4th quarter that we couldn't hold on to in 08 & 09?
(352): i think it would be like really awesome if scientist could genetically engineer manatees to be like the size of goldfish so i could have one in my fishbowl and be like EFF YEAH! TINY MANATEE!
Offensively I can see two areas for significant improvement: Short yardage situtation and intermediate passes.
I believe we were near the bottom in the SEC in fourth down coversions last season. Hopefully Newton will help with that.
Todd did well with ball placement, but he wasn't a quarterback that could thread the needle. Hopefully Newton can provide some intermediate passes to the inside receivers and spread the ball around a bit more.
Good morning, Hotties!! Rise and shine!
We're in the SEVENTIES!!! 79 days til kickoff.
GO TIGERS!!!
WARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
Morning Hotties. Just wanted to buzz the tower. I'm off tomorrow, so this is my last day of work (Huzzah!). Everyone watching US-Slovenia tomorrow?
As for Auburn football, hate to pressure on the young man, but we'll go as far as Cam takes us. Everything else is in order to put us in a position to at least have a good chance in every game we play. I'm still being modest, though, and thinking more along the lines of 9-3 and 8-4.
A Thursday night spent in Starkville in early September should begin to tell the tale.
I wish people wouldn't stab each other, it keeps me up past my bed time.
Wake,
I used to work 11-7 in the Emergency Admit Unit at USA Med Center in Mobile. I would watch the 10 pm news to see what patients I was going to have - the gunshots, the stabbings, the car wrecks. What was really fun was when the Reeds, Byrds, Sullivans and Snows from McIntosh were feuding. Good times!
I'm okay with that kid getting punched by thoe police. This may surprise some of you, because I'm usually the "excessive force!" Guy, but he handled the situation pretty well.
Haha cincy, unfortunately we get the calls before the news does, or else I would give your methods a try.
PF, I agree with you it isn't excessive force, but it still doesn't look good. There are many equally effective, but don't look as bad. But he handled the situation the best way he saw fit.
Good morning all. Off to take the FAUWG to the dentist. Wish me luck.
WTC, what does Mom know about the RB situation and are there any more LB's we might get?
Greetings
Mr. Ambassador, good morning.
And hello to all of the small people of HABOTN.
Happy Scottie B day!
If the kid that got punched was the only one he was dealing with, I'd probably say he could have done something else. He needed something quick and effective, like fist to the face. No time to cruelly electrocute her.
Excessive force? No such thing.
Keep Hate Alive.
Good morning Auburn Blog!! I love us. WTC thanks for getting me hyped for football with 2 1/2 moths to go.
HAPPY #79 DONNIE HUMPHREY DAY THT!
i'm ready for 2-a-days! let's put the pads on!
I 3>ed me some Donnie Humphrey when he was anchoring the defensive line. Wasn't he a 6yr player? AU's first?
not sure on that THT. a buddy of mine met up with him in Huntsville last year and got me a few photos from him for my collection.
THT ...
I think he was just a 5 year guy ... he got chop blocked during the second game of the 1982 season against Southern Miss and blew out his knee ... the officials kindly reciprocated by screwing the Golden Beagles at the end of the game like a light bulb by not stopping the clock in a clear clock-stopping situation, preventing them from getting the FG team on the field to attempt a game winning (perhaps, tying) FG.
His story is a sad, sad one.
Just heard of a fan bring one of those vuvazelas to the Yankees Phillies game, and was then escorted out. Anyone think we're going to hear the vuvazelas at the college games? I have a feeling there's going to be a concerted effort to keep those out of stadiums.
Yankees security staff sucks. Have dealt with them in Tampa at George Steinbrenner Field (they staff from the front office in NYC), and they hate fun. I hate vuvuzelas, too, though.
Jet - as usual, I sit corrected.
Ray Melick works for BP?
"The plan is to be finished within 60 to 80 days," said BP spokesman Ray Melick. He said the work could start in two weeks."
http://blog.al.com/live/2010/06/steel_pipe_boom_for_perdido_pa.html
60 to 80 days? It's gonna take them that long to get started. No way they actually finish in that amount of time.
They will be finished starting in 60-80 days.
Man,
I always forget how much I like fresh peaches.
I need some of the more experienced people on here to help me with a little problem. Has anyone here ever worked for a boss that had a drinking problem and it affected his work (if he ever came to work)?
Steal all the money, make it look like the drunk boss did it, and leave the company.
CHB...
You should probably talk to my subordinates and see how they handle it.
CH=B,
Does he have a supervisor?
I had a co-worker that had a drinking problem-a bad one that resulted in some very public bad behavior. He was not my boss, however.
The supervisors gave him an ultimatum and he cleaned up his act. My feeling at the time was that he should have been fired.
Ephemeral,
You women and your opinions of our drinking!
CH=B - follow PF's advice and steal all of ehyou's money.
Peaches - no other fruit belongs in the discussion. They are truly devine.
I know. We don't have much tolerance for such things.
Actually, it was the public bad behavior and his confrontations with his co-workers (I wasn't one of the ones confronted) that I wanted to see rewarded.
Fresh peaches and fried okra--two great delicacies of the South!
He does have a supervisor. To further cloud the issue I am his successor and I don't want there to be any perception that I did anything unethical.
I'm not talking a small drinking problem either. He hasn't shown up to work all this week. The 1st three days a "spider" bit him and he said it looked like someone had punched him in the eye. Today he didn't show up and said he "slipped" and fell on his boat dock while playing with his grandson. All of that may be true but perception is not working in his favor.
Are there people there that gossip incessantly? If so, tell one of them, it'll get the word out and you won't have to say anything...or you could just try and help him. Jerk.
Everyone knows he has a problem and some have known for a long time. His manager and the human resource manager are aware as well.
How do you tell your boss he has a drinking problem that is affecting his work and work relationships?
Note to self: Don't come to the HABOTN for advice. You are better off being a jack(donkey) to all of them. End note.
"Dude, People are talking, and your @$$ is going to get fired if you don't get this crap fixed" might do.
I'll drink to that...but it will have to be a diet coke.
CH=B, had the same problem here. Once he got reported to Ethics, they gave him a couple of opportunities to fix his problem. We have the employee assistance program at the company I work for, so you do have the program to go through. Then there is a zero-tolerance policy once you complete the program. That next binge was his last one. No longer works here. It was a long process, but once it started, I can't tell you how many people came forth complaining about him.
well, no one complains about...
BEASLEY!!!
Helloooooooooooo Kennesaw, GA!!!
Thanks Kathy and Ephemeral.
PF, easier said than done.
Alcoholism is a disease, and may be considered a disability. I think he should sue the company is CH=B gets him fired.
Back to Auburn football.
Has anyone heard the story that Luper was at the walmartians Nike Camp? Supposedly his son is a pretty good player and was invited to the camp. This is how Luper was able to attend. At this camp $aban wasn't allowed to "bump" into the players, but Luper was allowed to walk around and talk freely to anyone he wanted.
Not really. Man up, don't be a ninny, and talk to him. If he gets pissed, so what. It's not like he'll be in to work to fire you any time soon.
I like the optimism thinking that we could have 10+wins heading into the IB. I'm not as optimistic and agree with Jet prediction. Seems that for WTC's scenario to occur we would need to stay away from the wrong injuries, have several freshmen step up and for Cam to be as good as we all hope.
We are still not a deep team at several positions. Freshmen are unpredictable. I hear from folks that see practice, that Cam's fundamentals aren't as bad as his JUCO game films or the spring game would indicate. If Gus has indeed broken Cam's bad habits, then Cam could be special. I think that all of these items would need to work in our favor in order to have 10+ wins heading into the IB. We got lucky last year with injuries. Will we have enough luck for all of these issues to go our way this year? I wouldn't bet on it.
PF - you need to get your own call in radio show for people to get advice on the issues in their lives. I think it would be entertaining.
So how long before we have the Luper bump rule?
CH=B- So he took off because a spider bit him, but he was able to play with his grandson on his boat deck. His stories aren't even good.
Fresh peaches and fried okra. Oh, my.
With his sunglasses always on, Norm Ga Ga says you can't read his "Luper Face."
EPL 2010-11 schedules are available for those interested.
Oops, wrong blog.
Jack@$$.
Utah making it official and shunning the MWC for the Pac-10. Dang. I was hoping they'd ride it out there. I like where that conference is headed.
EPL
Eurasian Puppet League?
Dose michael know about this?
Will they play a whole season or just a short season like hockey?
I've never seen Cowherd's show on ESPNU before. He looks a lot different than I had imagined him.
Me and okra get along real good.
Cowherd's been doing that P90X. he's all buff now.
Cowherd's nose is all weird. Kinda looks like Michael Jackson.
Peaches - good.
Okra - not good.
Herb - I'm sure he's fine too.
But what about the people who are better at their job when drunk?
Like strippers, carnival ride operators, and engineers?
this message has been edited to the point of being deleted.
Strippers and Carnies drink on the job? ..say it ain't so...
Engineers? ...well ...whad-a-ya-gonna-do?
Anyone heard about T-mobile giving phones (any phone including smart phones) to anyone who activates or adds additional lines to an account on Saturday?
yes, CH=B, I heard that vague rumor. Not sure what good a free phone will do without any "bars".
speaking of Auburn sports, I have waffled, yet again, back towards the HTC Incredible (sorry, FSJ). One day, I may actually go to the Verizon store, but only if I can't find a dentist to give me an unnecessary root canal.
i hate going to the 'phone store'. it seems there's always a line and it takes forever.
I really want the HTC Evo. Played with one at the store while getting a new battery the other day, and it's everything they billed it to be.
A little Google action says yes. I wish everyone could use Google as well as I can.
Radio Shack is also giving any T-Mobile phone away the same day, but they are not requiring a family plan setup and they are waiving the $35 activation fee.
It also says it in a big ad on T-Mobile's website.
I am a professional Googler. Doesn't pay all taht well, though.
doesn't spell all taht well, either.
I love me some Google.
Byron Isom tweeted "Just met a guy who asked me if I was me. Then said "I'm not counting days or anything but 79 days can't go by fast enough" love AU fans WDE"
THT was that you!!!
'tweren't me, Kathy. But certainly it was a Hottie?!
Hotties keep track of that sort of thing.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I figured it's time to stop riding the pine and join the fray. Always enjoy reading the prognostications here. September can't get here soon enough.
Isom is the man....him and Big Snacks!
Hey, welcome Baldy. Did you hear the T-Mobile rumor? They're giving stuff away.
Welcome baldy!
Hey Baldy! Thanks for joining. Welcome!! We're substance deficient today; perhaps you can provide appropriate therapeutic posts. Or maybe you're just like the rest of us ;-)
Perhaps I should take advantage and get rid of my old bag phone now. I've never been good with change, but hey, since it's free...
I've got a really dumb question. How do you add the photo to your post? (I'm technologically deficient). I took a picture of my toilet and wanted to add it to my posts. I paid $500 for the toilet, so I figured if I paid that much, I want people to see it. It supposedly is guaranteed to flush up to 25 golf balls per flush, which will come in handy as I've been thinking about pursuing an "all golf ball" diet.
Click on your name baldy. It should take you to your user profile. Hit edit and away you go...
HAPPY DONNIE HUMPHREY DAY (AGAIN)!

well, let's remain civil here and not all speak at once.
and no question is a dumb question here (unless you're PF or Norm). they have the market cornered on dumb questions. ;)
why we're such a loving helpful bunch, eh? trying getting that at the hottest bama blog on the net. just try!
You punks just like copying me.

or you could do that.
Welcome baldy. I eagerly await pictures of your $500 toilet. You must've bought it from Uncle Sam.
PF, a question for you, who's the jerkiest person named SCOTTY you know?
Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.
Man, you guys are helpful. You're like a beacon of light in that dark abyss.
And I think I meet the "love Auburn, hate Bama" requirement. It took me 9 years to finish my schoolin' there (co-oped and stayed for MBA). Didn't want to leave. They had to drag me away because my liver wasn't going to make it through another year of debauchery, so all good things must come to an end. Dangit.
I don't know a Scotty, Norm.
"You're like a beacon of light in that dark abyss"
I try to keep my beacon and everything else away from T'loser.
Huh, I guess he wasn't kidding.
Flush your balls
That 5# of tomatoes was pretty impressive, too.
Welcome Baldy .....so the name Baldy may coupled with a picture of your $500 toilet as your avatar.
...Hoopie ..don't do it ...don't post that comment that's just hanging there ...waiting to be viewed.
This comment has been removed by the author.
I don't expect my toilet to have to flush bunches of golf balls. In my house; it may be called upon to flush Spiderman or Batman figures, Hot Wheels, toy boats or the like. Then sometimes, F4* puts stuff in there he shouldn't too.
Nope, wasn't kidding about the toilet. I spent too many hours with a plunger due to the "low flow" toilets that we had that my freaking 6 year old could stop up. I went to Home Depot and told them to give me the Cadillac of toilets. That plunger will never be needed again. Sometimes I just throw big stuff in the toilet and flush it just because I can.
When LGGB was a 2yo tot, he absolutely loved trying to flush anything he could carry or drag to the bathroom.
CHB-running backs are not going as well as planned, IMO. I like the Coe kid. He is a hard nosed, bruising runner. He likes AU a lot also. AU has several other backs they are pursuing, but at this time AU is not the #1 choice for them (of those that are highly rated by the services).
When UF's #1 choice pledged to Clemson, thye had to go after their #2 guy, which was AU's #1 guy. He now has UF as #1. The longer he holds off announcing, the better for AU. His pledge will be along way off so a lot can happen until then. That is the only position that I can't get any strong information on.
My optimism for this season does ride on Cam performing well and several freshmen stepping up and playing very well.
I will say that if Gus did not think Cam could do the job, he would not be on this team. By reviewing Gus's past, I conclude he can get the most out of a QB. He was the one that got Burns to move to another position. He knows QB's
"That is the only position that I can't get any strong information on."
wtc - what's the matter? Does mom have a head cold?
If Michael Dyer lives up to the hype, do you thik we'll have a lot of trouble signing a top back in '11?
I am counting on these freshmen to play because they are a very talented group. If these guys were a #20 rated class, I would say many would be redshirted. That will not happen with this class. Many will play. They will play because they are very good, not because AU has no choice. That is my opinion.
Flushing 25 Golf Balls ...5# of tomatoes ...2# of pasta. Now I know what to get for X-mas. Not sure the city sewer department will appreciate the new sewer traffic tho.
Has anybody seen RB Mike Blakely in person? He seems to be getting a lot of hype from several AU sites I've seen and had AU at the top of the list (or did a week or so ago).
http://www.mtrmedia.com/auburn/2010/06/auburn-still-at-the-top-for-mike-blakely-but-hes-in-no-rush-to-make-a-decision-soon.html
If Dyer lives up to the hype, Several backs will be taking a longer look at AU. I think a 2nd year of a rusher (Fannin or Dyer) going well over 1,000 yards in a 'spread offense' will help refute the things other coaches are saying now about AU's offense is not an offense that will help a back get into the league.
I don't know who the jerkiest scotty I know is but I do know who the biggest jackass named Peter Frankenschmidt is.
Glad to have you baldy.
THT, I don't have a problem with T-mobile. The only place it doesn't work is inside my in-law's lake house. No ones phone works in that place.
Baldy-he made a trip to UF last weekend and named them as his top team, for now. I think AU still has a very strong chance to get him. He has been AU's 'must have' back for a long time. He fits this offense better than most backs that are rated ahead of him.
Thanks for the info WTC. Why do you think we are having trouble with RB's this year? Is it because of Dyer?
See if I Google anything for you ever again!
WTC ...clearly we have one of our best ever talented group of recruits coming in and the more talent ...the greater the chance of having some contribute with quality the first year. I'm still a wait and see type when it comes to freshmen.
In addition to the speed and strength of the game differences, there are all of the of the field life issues and diversions for these 18 year olds to handle.
After having said all that ...Darren Bates (2 star) seemed to handle it just fine.
Best Facebook news feed item EVAH (activities of a friend from Mrs. Jet's page) ...
"Marcy __________ likes Alabama Crimson Tide and Walmart."
Yes, she does.
Hoopie, it's money well spent, especially if you have ongoing toilet issues. Plus, it's quite a conversation piece at parties. Just be sure to hang onto your pants when you flush. It sucks anything in the bathroom down that isn't secured. You don't want to have to do the walk of shame covering your unmentionables as you go to the bedroom for a replacement pair of pants because the ones you were wearing got sucked into the sewer. It's hard to look cool in such instance.
SNORT
I've met both PF and CH=B. You 2 are about the same age. I feel certain that one day you'll be sucking down beers together at a tailgate and having a good laff.
So what you are saying baldy is that if a slightly larger person was to use that toilet a suction could be created and they would need to call the fire department?
Baldy - no it isn't. It's really not hard to look cool in such an instance. Not for me at least. Jet couldn't pull it off though but he'd be sure to still have on his Zumba Dance Shoes so maybe that'd be something.
Ah, Wtc, didn't know that. Hopefully the fact Fannin will be graduating and now that Aycock is gone, some good ones will see the possibility of some early PT, and look AU's way. Chizik et al have obviously been doing a great job in that regard, so I think we'll be fine.
Baldy ...we don't have toilet issues, it's more personal than that. I'm kinda like Norm's F4* and just wanna flush stuff.
That extra sucking power could get dicey tho.
PF, you're my favorite jack@$$ in the whole wide world.
We have a spare microwave in the garage. I'd be willing to donate it to anyone who has an awesome toilet and wants to see if it'll take it.
CH-B, there is such a warning regarding a larger person utilizing such a toilet, but if you have kids and the rescue squad did have to be called, kids do love fire fighters, so there's that.
And Norm, you must be some kinda cool if you can maintain the aura of coolness without any pants on. I'm impressed.
Norm is somewhere between a cucumber and the other side of the pillow.
Please take a picture of that warning label and make that your profile pic.
Baldy, there is something you should know: all these guys are a bunch of idiots.
My neighbors have two cats that I would like to see disappear.
Baldy - I am supremely awesome.
ehyou - maybe I'll add you to the ice cream list next time I see you.
CH=B - now you're on the right track!
My neighbor has an Akita a lot of us neighbors would like to see disappear.
PF, I'm an idiot too, so I fit in well. And CH-B, I didn't even think about the annoying pet angle. I had a 3 legged half blind asthmatic cat (not kidding) that I had to medicate twice daily for over 10 years that could have EASILY fit in that toilet! Sadly, he expired a few weeks ago. I should have started posting here 10 years ago - when I think about all the cat poop I had to scoop over that time...
Put that blasted toilet picture up already will ya?
I've never seen so much excitement over a toilet. Bring it on.
Hoopie, If your buying I'm drinking.
1+BEASLEY!!!
we need to pick up the pace to get a page flip before Norm leaves the office.
And this is why we don't expand the stadium.
Football Public Season Tickets on Sale
http://auburntigers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/061710aaa.html
Well, if anyone can get their hands on 2 extra tickets to the UGA game, I need a pair.
I'm partly to blame, Kathy. We finally got up the courage to drop 2 of our 7 season tickets. We should have dropped 4 but didn't have that much courage.
I thought I had the photo of it on my computer, but alas, it has been deleted. I will have to add it to my "to do" list.
Given I'm a newbie, two things I'm curious about:
1) what is the "Beasley" thing? I see it here regularly. I'm familiar with Terry's exploits, but was just curious.
2)What is puppet hour and what are its roots?
ZUMBA RAWKS!
Baldy - it is my duty in life to annoy some Hotties, and please a few others, we reference to THE GREATEST AU RECEIVER EVER, whenever post # 88 comes up. Or in this instance, post #188, hence the 1+BEASLEY. Like it or live with it.
Puppet hour is the nonsense that occurs in the last hour of a normal work day in the central time zone (4-5). It's based on a badly kept secret that puppets, who are known to eat human hands, are especially active during that time period.
what do we call the nonsense the other 23 hours of the day?
we call it substance
