- On moving to a 3-4: "Players were asking, What position do I play? We're trying to get everybody in the right place. Now, We think we have them in the right place. It's about learning the position."
- On Bobby Bowden not being a coach any longer: ``He won't be out of college football. He'll be at a lot of football games. Everybody wants him to be at their games."
- On the next trend in college offense: "It'll be whatever the winning teams are using. I believe you can win running anything. The thing that's important is your personnel. If somebody does something and wins with it, wins on a consistent basis, people will gravitate to it."
- He supports APRs associated with individual coaches being released. "Ours is going to be very good. We've done a great job with that."
- On allegedly being on the hot seat: "I can control my attitude. I can control my effort. That's what I can control. The things I can't control? I trust in the Lord for that ... just as I have since 1986."

I'm with Chip on UGA ... they'll be good if a quarterback steps forward and A.J. Green remains eligible.

Wouldn't we rather have Roberson than Gaulden? Who's reporting that one or the other committed?
the ncaa is going to be putting in some overtime between now and the end of august if 50-75 players might be involved.
uga can be good without a qb. see bammer. if all you have to do is turn around and hand it off 70% of the time and throw jump balls to hoolio how good do you need to be? the margin of error increases the better your d is. uga could be in that position this year if the d dramatically improves.
I call a "Hoopie Foul" on chip chip for rampant speculation. I don't think anyone would be committing during media days...all the media are in bammerham.

I can't confirm if Gaulden has an offer. My guess is that he has a conditional offer ... not really on board at this point.

Speaking of Bammers' qb, I heard Mcelroy on Finebaum yesterday. He said that AU's preparation for the Iron Bowl last year was "off the charts," and that they (AU players) were everywhere. He also said that the Tigers played like they were possessed. His view went against the claim that Bammer had an off day.
He also said that his granddad is an Auburn grad and gives him a hard time about playing for Bama.
He is applying for a Rhodes scholarship. It would be neat if AU and UA had Rhodes scholars at the same time. We already have one, you know.
Hey ephemeral! Those are interesting comments. Did he say he has already resigned himself to a beating in the 2010 Iron Bowl? I know AU will win the IB this year, so maybe he does too.

I'm just rampantly speculating based on no particular knowledge of the facts.

scout lists gaulden has an AU offer. rivals has apparently crashed and their page will not load after numerous attempts. that's all i know. i'm surprised as well that none of the usual suspects are reporting his AU commit. what he said in that article sure sounded like a commit. maybe he could not get in touch with the usual guys since they are eyeball deep in media daze.
Gaulden- I'm not thinking he has a firm offer on which he could commit to. I could be wrong, but based on what I see, I think that is the case.
