Stop! BANHAMMER TIME!
That's actually kind of fun when they mouth off and I silence the infidel.
Fire! Fire! Fire!
I wondered what ever happened to banhammer - haven't heard from him since he did the miami vice theme
hahahaha @ "silence the infidel"
I like you drunk with power!
glad you have the power. that is seriously annoying. why? you know?
I am now hearing that Tony Franklin got a DWI in Auburn and that is why he was fired. Is this true?
I would love to see the Tony Franklin mug shot. Could it look any worse than he normally looks on the sideline / press box?

this is the link to the Lee County DUI arrest page. it is usually updated frequently.
So Jay G, you mentioned that Tubs hinted that we'll be going away from the Spread as the year goes on. I wonder if that means we'll be going back to Power I, or if it just means we won't be solely a Spread formation team.
Against Arkansas, we played around with some different formations. We were 90% Shotgun Spread. We were only under center a few plays (mostly on first down with Chris Todd in the game), and those snaps I think the formation was One-Back, not Power I. We also had a few snaps in the Pistol formation, with Kodi three yards behind the LOS and an RB directly behind him. That's fun.
Hopefully this means the Spread is still alive and we're just trying to find some formations that work.
I think if we completely dump the Spread this year, it says that Tubs is only focused on keeping his job - not focused on getting the team better in the long run. If this is the case, we've handcuffed him and he's a Lame Duck - without the team's best interests in mind.
I'm still confused as to why they didnt call some type of rollout play when we were on the goalline at the end. Why take Kodi's best asset (running) and not at least give him more than one option? Instead they chose to leave him in the pocket. I just dont get it.
We all need a good chuckle, so propose the following for the "New Offense."
NEW OFFENSE?
It doesnt look like the A-11 has been approved in AL. lol
T Bowden out at Clemson. Looks to be plenty of openings for head coaches this year.
That's crazy. Anyone else ever thought Tommy Bowden and Tommy Tuberville looked kind of similar? Could be brothers if you ask me.
I guess Clemson didn't want to wait for the late season job-saving run Bowden is known for. I guess they thought this would be better for them in the long run than beating FSU and a few more teams.
Hiphop ... if Tuberville ends up getting fired, that 1st-and-Goal from the 5 series will be The One.
It was an amazingly misdirected endeavor.
Spread: Tuberville wants to stick with the "spread," but what he thinks it means and what most people think it means is different. He likes short passes with a high completion percentage and a quarterback who can run away from pressure.
That's what he means by "spread."
I just read this on a AL.com type sight but for the state of Michigain regarding coaches in possible trouble...
"The burning list includes Auburn's Tommy Tuberville, Clemson's Tommy Bowden, Oklahoma's Bobby Stoops (for continuing to not be able to win the big ones), Rutgers' Greg Schiano, Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer, Wisconsin's Bret Bielema and Rodriguez."
Bob Stoops?
He's making $6 million this year.
Oklahoma should fire him. He was No. 1 and now he's not. Unacceptable.
misdirected is right. crazy thing is, if Kodi makes that throw on 3rd down it's a TD. i disagree with the playcalling on that series, but that 3rd down play was still there and the so-called playmakers didn't make it happen.
Stoops will be unemployed for less than 30 minutes if he gets fired. I thought Mac Brown was the one that rarely beats Oklahoma, but I don't follow the Big 12 closely.
add mike stoops from arizona to the list...totally blew a win against stanford. lost to new mexico this year. still has cal and usc coming, too.
The two passes they called on 2nd and 3rd down were unbelievable. Let's see... you have a quarterback with a cannon arm and good running skills, but he has struggled with accuracy and shown very little ability to put touch on a ball. Let's try the corner of the end zone requiring a perfectly thrown ball with perfect touch on it. Missed it the first time, but the throw was only 6 yards off. They'd never think we were dumb enough to try the same unlikely play twice! Let's catch em by surprise! Unbelievable.
So now should we add Stoops to the list of coaches that we should tap to replace our unfired coach?
Well at least it should make for an interesting off-season...
But if you are adding people to the hot list for not winning the big games (Bob Stoops) when does Tressel get on that list?
Looking at their stats they both only have 1 NC each(which surprised me for some reason, is that right?)and several conference titles, which aren't nearly as valuable as a SEC title. So it looks like Tuberville is in good company if you consider his 2004 season on par with a NC season.
Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be college Head Football coaches.
Look, I am a Tuberville apologist no doubt, but the job he has done here doesn't even compare to the consistency Bob Stoops has shown at Oklahoma. Even Tressell has done a better job at Ohio St. Blame the conference if you want, but that'st just the way it is. I find it hard to believe either of those guys (especially Stoops) are on any kind of real, non-internet constructed hot-seat.
Kristina,
Tressel has been in 3 BCS championship games. He's 1-2 (thanks to the SEC).
He's loved up there. They routinely beat Michigan (their Alabama) and get big time recruits. They are good enough for him to stay until he wants to go.
"Coach Tuberville, this word, spread. I do not think it means what you think it means"
Yeah my comment about Tressel was semi-sarcastic in response to Stoops being on that hot list.
I love Tuberville, I admit it. But I love Auburn more so if he can't do what he needs to do (get rid of certain coaches) then it's time to break-up.
So which coach out there could improve the Auburn qbs onfield performance??? I would love to know what coaching skill that is.
Also, nice Princess Bride reference, although I am partial to "Plato, Aristotle, Socrates...morons...all of them!!".
