Radio "reportage" reservoir
We're going to keep tabs on what radio is "reporting" for a little social science project.
When The Tuberville Situation reaches its conclusion, whatever it may be, we can look back here and see who was correct and who was completely wrong.
Post what you hear in the comments below. I'll move the information from the comments to this post for easier access.
XM Radio (Dan Patrick): All offensive assistants have been fired.
WJOX (Del Greco): Tuberville apparently has been fired; assistants believe they have been fired.

Here's a link to Dan Patrick's "scoop" regarding the assistant coaches:
Dan Patrick
It's the fourth bullet point down.
Dan Patrick Show- All assistants are fired.
WJOX- Tubs is gone, started with Al Del Greco saying assistants believe they were fired to the Opening Drive reporting uncofirmed reports that Tubbs was fired from the same source that produced Saban to Bama, Tony Franklin Fired 2 days before it happened and Lane Kiffen to UT.
Guy's been at Auburn 10 years and Sports Illustrated can't spell his name correctly. Absolutely pathetic.
Saban to Bama wasn't a scoop, IMO.
Unless they called it back in October of 2006.
It was obvious that he was the target from the moment Shula was fired (RichRod audible not withstanding).
A funny thing is that at for a while in 2006 a S. Carolina assistant at the time (from Attalla) was telling folks up this way that he believed Spurrier was going to take the Bama job before Saban got it.
How did a source know that Franklin was getting fired 2 days before it happened? Maybe I didn't get the whole story, but I thought he was fired Wed. after he went nuts at practice on Tues.
I just don't understand that one.
Jim: Impossible.
"No, his job is not in jeopardy. I mean, people say that every time a coach has a bad year. Coach Tubs does a good job and he's not going anywhere."
-Brad Lester, 11-4-08
I was told by someone who was family friends with Jimmy Sexton that Spurrier was going to Alabama. (this is actually me not joking for once) I still give him crap about that inside scoop.
The truth is, even credible sources can be lied to and minds can be changed pretty quickly, so it is hard to believe things without official announcements.
Jim- I agree with you. That is what WJOX was reporting.
Not questioning you Eddie, just the source.
Ok here is a link to rumor and innuendo gone wild:
Bleacher Report
Sources get manipulated all the time. Hell, the sources sometimes take guesswork, innuendo, and supposition and fill in the blanks and call it fact.
An unofficial Auburn representative has reached out to people close to Arkansas' Bobby Petrino and Texas Tech's Mike Leach to gauge their interest in succeeding Tommy Tuberville if the school decides to fire him, a source familiar with the contacts told The Birmingham News
SCARBINSKY IS REPORTING THAT au PEOPLE HAVE CONTACTED PERTRINO PEPPS AND MIKE LEACH PEEPS TO GUAGE INTEREST!!!!
