All we have are the embers
Thanks to the 312 people who participated in our Tuesday night campfire.
We opened at 8:40. We closed at 11:17.
Topics included Jonna Chizik, David Oku, Dontae Aycock's highlights, drunk texting, Gene Chizik's chin and the dismissals at WNSP radio in Mobile.
Big ups to Tuesday's chat stalwarts: jhag, Will, David Oku (prior to BANHAMMERING), Kristina, FSJ, MonD, j-z, Z4Z, Jet, wakerider, Nanner, Michael (in two tours) and newcomer PJunkie.
A great time was had by all.

$395 is nothing. it's the $395 each, plus TUF donation. so, for my two tickets i'm shelling out $1200 or so. if my seats weren't so good i wouldn't do it but i'm not giving them up....ever.
SeanZ, it looks like you should've went to more. u were 2 for 2!
Check this out for BBQ sauce recipe:
2 cups Coca-Cola (or similar cola)
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 onion large onion, finely chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons black pepper
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons salt
3 tablespoons chili powder
Heck...I was shelling out that kind of dough for two Upper Deck tickets in 2002.
Scottie B ...
Never, never, never, never give up!
peter: white shirt because that's what I usually wear.
Alabama sticks it to season ticket holders, IMO.
Well I just recently graduated and had excellent seats for such classics as: 2003, 2005, 2007 Iron Bowls. 2004 and 2006 LSU, 2006 Florida, 2005 South Carolina, 2003 UT...All those gems. So now I'm spoiled and can only get tickets after the rest of the family passes on them. The good news these seats are Halfway up the lower deck, straddling the 50.
Luv, I brought out the big tailgating guns for LSU, Sat Dish, Furniture, 5.1 outside. Made camp close to JHS for the ambiance...ended in tragedy. So really I was 2/3.
Tide ticket office person to FSJ:
"Yo shore have a purty mouth."
after 4 years of being in the student section on the 40 yard line, it took a while to get adjusted to the 'regular' seats. now i wouldn't trade them.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!
plus, the wife told me to never give them up. so, you know, you gotta do what she says, right?
Scottie, never ever divorce that woman.
Seanz, that's what sealed the deal on the engagement. :)
Mrs. Scottie B = Keeper
WORD.
ScottieB - that's one fine woman you have there.
she also agreed that in buying our first house we had to have a basement to have our 'Auburn Room'. even for a Vol, she's pretty tough to beat!
should Mrs THT divorce me? we have 7 seats for a 4 person family. I've tried getting rid of 3 but she won't let me.
Don't say, "Vol," Scottie B. That tends to diminish the love for her from the group.
Say, "Vot" as in Barber.
"That's cool, even for a Vot fan."
Naw THT, I know how to solve your problem...you can always take me and Mrs. SeanZ.
Just adopt 3 Hotties, and all is cool.
that's what I had in mind
3:01....isn't this place s'posed to be hoppin around 3 pm?
Seanz - it seems we were at AU during the same period. Between undergrad and grad school, I saw all the big home games from 2001-2006. The only one I've been to since was last year's UT game. I miss it, but I can't pony up all that money for season tickets.
Michael, you disappoint me next thread
Michael, you could sell advertising space on your avatar.
You could be the next Bobby Lowder.
I mean, the next Warren Buffett.
i was there from 96-2000.
last year was bad but 98 was really bad. i saw every freakin 11 games in person. still hurts thinking about it.
NEW THREAD IS UP, UP, UP!!!!
'98 was like watching your dog die. Slowly.
scottieb....
I had to endure all of the home (+ away UT) games during Dubose's last year...
Including the 9-0 Iron Bowl in the sleet...
With the Auburn guy behind me yelling "Let's go TIGAAAHHHHH'S!!!!!" the entire fourth quarter...
Good times....not.
Old thread down down down.
