Trott makes a watch list
Hey everyone. Thomas "Tommy" Trott, formerly of Trinity Presbyterian fame, has been added to the John Mackey Award watch list.
The award is given annually to the nation's top collegiate tight end.
Trott, a senior, has 34 career receptions for 330 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has played in 39 career games and started 22 of them.
Thirty players were named to the watch list.

call it what you will but when you constantly have your hand out for a raise/extension and go radio silent for a week or two at the end of every season to better your contract you tend to wear out your welcome. If your significant other entertained too many other offers for too long it would get old.
TT could have squashed a lot of that last year. Instead he went duck hunting.
I liked TT and being a $2 ho doesn't make you a bad person but he burned up a ton of goodwill with his end of year antics.
THT they don't even deserve one of my looks for that kind of silly talk
pfft
Big Bird - You've been reading the HABOTN for a while, right?
To have fans repeatedly question whether he was going to stay after him repeatedly saying he was going to finish his career at Auburn doesn't make him a ho. It makes Auburn fans unfaithful.
Refusing to continuously answer the same question every year and getting sick of constantly being questioned isn't an issue with CTT. It is an issue with the board and the Auburn fans.
I say we all blame BigBird for the rant currently being perpetrated by Steve.
Monica: Yes, a long while, why?
Steve: fans supported him in 2003 because they didn't like the sneaky way Petrino was approached. Had they waited a few days, different story. Fans still supported him but fan support only goes so far, we don't control the purse strings.
very long day tomorrow and I've finished my bowl of ice cream. Time to go get a DC and call it a night.
See y'all in the a.m.
WAR EAGLE!!!
GO TIGERS!!!
Don't worry, Norm, I'll be hatin in my dreams!
I second that motion.
because you should know better than to engage Steve in a conversation about Tubs
if so, you'd know you can't win (or at least end) this argument with SteveFC
Blame accepted. I'll stop before I wear out my welcome on my first day.
Monica's...not THT's. Can't have Ice Cream on my diet and I've cut back to 4 DC's per day.
Believe me, Big Bird, when I say
NOBODY GETS RUN FROM THE HABOTN
Let that comfort and frighten you.
They do get Banhammered though.
That's from Campfire's, not HABOTN proper.
I thought Cobra Commander was Banhammered from HABOTN too.
dude, keep up
Salsa Shark IS Cobra
I am pretty difficult to frighten (other than my fear of heights) but you guys have a good thing going so I'll let the moot point of TT's saga drop.
For the record, I like TT. I still have a picture of him with my oldest son taken at A-Day and won't take it down unless he takes over at UAT or some other equally heinous act.
Good night all.
Goodnight, Big Bird! Better see you back here tomorrow!
WAR EAGLE
JZ=thread killer
Wake up folks. It is time to get this thing goin'
You wants to discuss quarterbacks for AU this year?
What about the coaching change at BC?
WTC is back with his bulging muscles.
I think Chris Todd starts this year. Kodi may need to transfer out to another school.
Well, it takes work to look like this Mon.
Marcus Lattimore wasting his time with a visit to Penn State tomorrow.
Your good looks are surpassed only by your humility, WTC.
There are way too many jokes that I can reply with but this is a family blog.
This has NOT been a family blog today.
Ok, some you may need to log off this blog while Mon and i have a private conversation. :)
wooo hoooo! I have finally lured you into my web...
Will this cost $3.99 a minute?
I'll just put it on your tab.
There was a guy with a nick like muacho guacamole or something, that ran out crying when he was exposed as a bammie.
However I am very certain that that muacho individual was salsa-shark / cobra commander. Maybe JGT can investigate his IP ;)
Dats what I'm talkin' bout.
I do believe Sensi traded Kodi to UNA for a player to be named later.
Was it Macho Grande? What happened for him to get run off?
Im kinda concerned now.
Did WTC get excited by my investigative skills, or by getting his payment on tab?
My investigatin has cred thou.. like salsa didn't post anything during the tenure muacho spent on here.
Steve, I'm not sure we can get a player to be named later.
I am actually looking to maybe $100 and 20 pound bag of Ol Diz charcoal.
I find Salsa entertaining in a prototypical Bama fan kind of way.
Sean called him a bamer.
He called Sean an idiot.
Michael spanked Sean for calling Macho a bamer.
well we exposed him as an undercover bammer, who happens to be salsa shark.
He picked up his ball, stomped his feet and went home.
My puppy was having puppymares. He is so cute.
Your investigative are outstanding, but certainly not in the same realm as the skills the Goddess has up her sleeve. And must say they are many.
I would so totally trust your investigative skills, Aero! hahahaha
Seams like pretty equivalent insults to me, Omnica.
Come to think of it, I think I would prefer to be referred to as an idiot.
You've only had a tiny little preview, WTC. It's a good thing you do so much cardio.
Steve - I report, you decide.
Did anyone report earlier that it looks like Desmond Washington and Darrin bates are qualifiers and are expected at practice on the 5th?
I read that on Undercover. Terrence still isn't cleared to play, but hopeful.
wow - this sounds cool...
searchable online library in the new SEC Digital Network, which is set to launch Aug. 27.
ok, omelete's done. yummy yummy in my tummy.
hey *bleep* hey *bleep* off to work I go. (this is a family blog)
And I believe it was not half a *bleep*. It was around 1/3rd(ish), though it's been about 6 months that I've met any *bleep* so I'm purely basing it on mammary. I mean memory
what can you search for?
wtc.
If mammary serves me right, his name is Demond. They forgot the s.
Demond is correct, I think.
Sorry, Aero. I can't seed you a *bleep* in a care package.
WTC:
SEC Digital Network bringing old football games, less-seen sports to the Web
Wednesday, July 29, 2009
JON SOLOMON
News staff writer
Care to watch all of Alabama's goal-line stands from a particular year? What about every touchdown pass Tim Tebow threw to Percy Harvin? Or every scoring play of 25 yards or more in SEC Championship Game history?
Pretty soon, those clips and more will be part of a searchable online library in the new SEC Digital Network, which is set to launch Aug. 27.
By the way, I am starting to think Auburn might be an 8 win team. I predicted 7 wins earlier. I am getting a good feeling about this team.
WTC do you know what your avatar looks like at first glance?
OK. I will make a mental note on that one.
we started this revived thread with a bang and it seems as if it is petering out. Get some Red Bull and crank it up.
Omnica, that sounds awesome. I have been jealous of the Big 10 on demand thing. I want to watch football.
What has you so jacked up, WTC??
do I need to go to FB for the answer?
Came home today and took a nap. Now I think I can stay up until at least 10:30 CST.
ummm yep hahahaha
2nd night w/o the daughter here and things are still quiet. she is enjoying her time in AU.
Big 10 has a great TV network that we get up here.
i sent you the answer in FB email
I saw it...... Need to pause for a minute.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
SNORT
I wonder if that sight will offer screen savers. I would love a Junior Rosegreen the hit screensaver.
OK, let's talk sports now.
How about them Braves?
SNORT X 3
Steve-I see 4 newcomers playing from the start:
Freeman,Fairly,Benton,Lutz.
What do you think?
Steve I can't believe you can't find a suitable Rosegreen image online.
Wow, a guy here in SC found his wife's picture in a facebook ad for hot new singles.
Omnica, I want video, hopefully with sound. I was at that game.
ooooo video as your screensaver
cool
wtc, I would add Aycock to that list. I see him as the third string tailback.
I have very sad news to report. I only got one number out of six on five lotto tickets. Sadly, I will remain poor for a few more weeks.
Steve, is she holding a kitten?
Screensavers that don't move aren't screensavers.
You know it's all over Youtube, right?
Hahaha, no wtc. Some just swipped her photo and is using it for advertising, just like I swiped Monicas and am now dating a Bama coach.
Turn up the volume
Yea, I needs to figure out how to swipe it from youTube and convert it into a screensaver.
steve - are you trying to tell me all screen savers are video?
Thanks Monica. I was in the stands for that hit and on the right end and side of the field. The crowd roared until we figured out that kid wasn't moving. I though Rosegreen had killed him. Glad it turned out he was okay, although I bet he flinches a lot.
No, I am saying static screen savers aren't screen savers. That don't save squat. The idea behind screensavers is to have the colors on the screen changed so the image doesn't get burned in, although I don't think burn in is a problem with modern monitors.
OK, I'm out. Gotta get my cardio in the early AM.
Steve - duh
The 1994 Auburn LSU game would also make a good screen saver. It is probably the best Auburn game I have ever seen.
I gotta get up early to give WTC his cardio so I'm out too.
I need to go to sleep, but Omnica has got me hooked on the youTube football thang!!!
steve best game i ever saw was au/fsu down there. think the score was like 42/41. nonstop action
anyone left. i always get in too late for the action. i was going to support new guy big bird and really get steve going.
I loved that one too Sponge. It was probably the best game of the Dye years.
i sat on the 50 yard line with a buddy from tallahassee. we threw a bomb on the first play, i think to freddy weygand. scored on the next play. game on. back and fourth from then on.
did anyone confirm or deny dyer to au tomorrow?
I'm hearing yes, but who knows for sure?
I haven't heard that, but it would be a great boost to recruiting I think.
Stevo... Also part 1 is valid for Windows users as well:
In firefox you can add DownloadHelper for downloading youtube / google videos. For playing those videos just download and install VLC media player.
You are on your own on converting the .flv into screensaver. I don't know your distro, or what you could find in the repo. I've never done that part.
Good morning ladies and gents. Rise and shine.
T-minus 37 days til kickoff!
HAPPY JOHN VAUGHN & TERRY DANIEL DAY!!!
JV is Auburn's al-time leading scorer and, save on game on the bayou, was a very accurate kicker. Terry Daniel actually wore #36, but his helium-inflated footballs floated him up to 37.
WARRRR EAGLE!!!
GO TIGERS!!!
Good morning, Hotties!
Boy, have y'all been prolific bloggers. 634 posts since I left you yesterday morning. Haven't gotten to read everything, but looks like there were some "interesting" topics discussed.
Do you smell that smell? The smell of my new car! It took longer to buy this car yesterday than it did to birth my daughter or my son! Took him an hour and a half just to explain everything the car does. I think it could brush my teeth if I could figure out how to tell it that's what I wanted. :)
mornin' Cincy - congrats on the wheels!
Hey all. I hate starting the day with no workout, I even hate it more when I wake up at 4am and head to the gym to find the access is not working. Oh well, guess i'll have a rare afternoon workout instead.
I think Rashaud Walker also wore # 37.
Good morning ... War Eagle ... Hate UAT ... Thank you.
Check out Scottie B's blog and his creative talents. Very impressive if you ask me.
Scottie B's Football Art
Scottie B - Post your other paintings on there too!
Good morning everyone. Sorry to hear about your workout woes, Eddie. Just finished mine.
Congrats, Cincy! You should post some pics of you rollin in your knew pimpette mobile!
Wow, what a day yesterday was with half a set of boobs and a bunch of Nutt lovers, I can only imagine how great today is going to be!!!
37 Days!!! War Eagle!!!
How are Tommy Spina and Paul Spina related?
Okay, I missed the half a set of boobs?
Can't believe it is just over a month until the first game!!
But, in looking forward to the first game means I also have to look forward to my 50th birthday!!! I will be 50 years and 5 days when we kick off the 2009 season. Funny, I still feel like one of the college kids I see around campus.
Cincy, I am 26 and feel 50.
The set of half boobs was the avatar of a new Hottie yesterday. A small mammal was also involved.
I'm many years, ok, a few years older than cincy, and I think I'm 15 (see yesterday's posts), though my decrepit body tells me otherwise.
cincy - Aug 31?
Morning Hotties - coming to you live from California for the last day this week. I get to take the red-eye back to ATL at 12:50a Friday. I'm so lucky.
Carry on with whatever it is you've been discussing. I'm packing.
Keep Hate Alive.
Good morning hotties,
Man some of yall have been in here a while!!!
I may actually bust up and subscribe to one of the pay sites this year. Any suggestions as to which one I should go with?
I prefer Auburnsports.com
I had the same thought the other day, j-z.
paulmain - good morning!
is Rivals and/or Scout run/owned by a bammer? Obviously, I won't send any of my hard earned money to a bammer.
Phillip Marshall's site some good info. I realy like his commentaries
I believe Auburnundercover is temporarily free today. I've been a rivals member for quite awhile. I like their stuff, auburnsports.com.
Banhammering from the HABOTN is a much taller order than from a campfire.
I have to get The Suits involved for HABOTN banhammering. Though, it's important to note, we held discussions two weeks ago about streamlining the Banhammer process.
"Cobra" aka Salsa is the only person who ever seriously faced that kind of punishment. People here are mighty civil.
j-z, you may contact me privately if you'd like my opinion on which Auburn pay site to choose.
OK, I know I've been beating this dead horse, but this is the last time I promise.
I am going to get my AU tag in a few minutes. We have narrowed it to the following. Please help!!!
Remember the tag already has the AU logo and says Auburn University on it.
AUDAY
AUBFB
TO AU
RU4M
4FTBL
Ok, Sensi going on another of his rant's on 740. I need my popcorn.
Cincy-
FU BAMA
cincy - I'd draw straws on the top 3 you listed.
So, are you an Aug 31 baby?
Eddie,
I would, but that is too many letters! I'm only allowed 5. :)
that's tough Cincy. i like RU4M. it's clever. never heard it before.
i would do IH8UA. :) i've been wanting to do that on mine for years but haven't spent the extra money.
Yep, THT, barely got into the month - Aug 31.
You don't like RU4M?
I thought about doing something along the hate bama theme, but I don't want to give them that much advertisement on my car.
I believe a new Auburn tag is soon to be issued and will provide for a sixth character.
Two Things:
- Can someone please enlarge paulman's profile pic?
-Aside from Bo Jackson (who I believe to be one of the top two or three college football players ever) who is the best player you can recall at Auburn?
For my school, I'll say David Palmer....or perhaps Derrick Thomas. Palmer was unbelievable though. I'll never forget the Ole Miss game in 1993. He single handedly won the game. Billy Brewer, Ole Myth's coach at the time was very amusing after that one.
I'm too young to have seen Namath, Stabler, or Lee Roy Jordan...
Palmer
cincy - MrsTHT is an Aug 31 baby, too!
RU4M is a question for which answers from bammers could be dagnerous to one's health and or car, assuming there are any that could figure it out.
That's funny cincy..I've thought about buying an Auburn tag for the same reason....but didn't want to give them the money..
FSJ - Terry Beasley and Tracy Rocker, and a LB who will be featured next week on our Kickoff Kountdown. I saw Tucker Frederickson, but I was too young to be paying attention.
I'm partial to Dameyune Craig. Dude carried Auburn on his shoulders, at least offensively.
The youtube video you linked has a very interesting related video, FSJ.
I'm just happy that I happened to be able to tell Bo stories cause I was there. Dad got to see Ernie Davis, I got Bo.
michael...I just went back and checked what u were talking about...LMAO..
How the heck is that "related"?
Isn't it interesting how every once in awhile, SEC teams are defined by a single transcendent player? David Palmer, Dameyune Craig, Deuce McAllister, Matt Jones, and Tim Tebow are some examples I can think of from the past few years. It is also interesting how spotty their pro resumes are after single-handidly dominating the offensive side of the ball for their respective teams.
no wonder this is the Hottest blog
I don't know FSJ, but the user's name is "kthnkxmama", and that cracks me up
FSJ ...
On your side, I'd say the Biscuit ... Cornelius Bennett. He had to be accounted for every single play.
It's hard for me to select anyone in the lily white era of SEC football. If I did, it would be Tucker Frederickson.
And though he was the man solely for one season, I'll submit Brent Fullwood.
Palmer was a stud. wasn't he solely responsible from bringing Bama back to tie Tennessee in....'94?
Dameyune Craig is my all-time fav AU QB hands down. absolute stud. even though i never really saw him play except on old videos i've always loved Tucker Frederickson. too bad we had so many injuries in '64, he could've had a much bigger season.
Micheal- Agreed. Great college players are not always pro players. Tim Tebow will probably be the best example of that in the pros, and you can also add Tommie Frazier, Charlie Ward and Eric Crouch to that list. Some players are just much better in college than the pro's.
I agree michael...
I think it is because these great athletes in college play positions that are not "ideal" based on how the NFL likes to stereotype players...
i.e. Palmer wasn't the "ideal" WR in the NFL because he wasn't as large as Michael Irvin or T.O.
Craig wasn't the prototypical dropback QB such as a Tom Brady....
They kinda get lost in the shuffle I guess.
The other portion of that is that people that run in the NFL don't last long.
In the NFL, they have the fastest and strongest defenders.
scottie...
Palmer made a great catch on Bama's last drive vs UT in 93' for the tie..
He also ran the two point conversion in...when everyone in the stands knew he was going to get the ball. The still couldn't stop him...
NFL is "perfect" in football terms. The biggest, the strongest, the fastest, the best.
College football is "imperfect," and it's that imperfection that makes it perfect for me.
My fav was Kevin Greene. A Walk On!! Love it, man.
Jet could be Steve Spurrier with that statement.
Carnell is my pick for #2 behind Bo. He attacked would-be tacklers and refused to go down on first contact.
Man have I heard some Kevin Greene stories. I personally love the guy. He absolutely bleeds orange and blue.
Drop some Kevin Greene stories on us, Eddie!
And I think Tebow will make a pretty decent pro, much like Palmer ended up being. Just not "Tha Man" like he is now.
a buddy of mine jumped up at swiped away a flying roll of TP away from Kevin Greene after the 2007 Iron Bowl. he got a 'great catch & War Eagle' from K.Greene. it was a good time.
FSJ, the '93 UA-UT game is what i think about every time i think of Palmer. thanks. and yup, everybody knew he was getting that ball. couldn't stop him.
I get into it alot with some of my Bama friends who like to say that Javier Arenas is as good as Palmer...
They've lost their minds.
As far as Auburn players go..Outside of Bo, I'd probably go with Rocker..He was a beast.
Carnell was great, but the funny thing is I always thought that Ronnie Brown would have been a superstar if he had been the only back.
scottie,
He had almost the same exact run (may have been better) against Auburn in 1991. Same end of the field..same sideline. The Auburn one was for the touchdown that decided the game. Auburn had it very well covered too..just couldn't stop him.
you'll have to forgive me if i've forgotten the '91 run. ;)
did we play bama in '91?
FSJ:
Brown was also great but with the game on the line I wanted Caddy to get the rock. Kudos to both for never crying about lack of carries, both good Auburn guys.
Brown was underappreciated as a blocker and who could forget his abuse of Jason Allen (twice?) in 2004.
Tommy agee was a solid back as well
Personally I think had Rudi stayed he could have been a Heisman candidate
Or was that Steven Davis that left early
I'm glad there are hotties here that can remind of stuff
Terry Bowden Ruined Stephen Davis's career
Stephen Davis was a Senior in '95.
i have one of those large Ronnie B. prints hanging over my couch of him running over Jason Allen. it makes me very happy.
I was always a Ronnie Brown guy in the Ronnie vs Cadillac argument. I think the way they split the ball senior season was perfect.
James Bostic was a very underated back
I'll never understand Bowden not giving Davis the ball more in 1994...especially during the Iron Bowl.
I'm glad he didn't to be honest.
Most Famous Kevin Greene Story is that he showed up to try-out for the team at 150lbs and was told that he was too small to play. The next spring, he showed up like 230 lbs and all muscle and a strange rage to go along with it :).
Bostic was a friggin man too wasn't he.
Scottie- I have that same print in my office. The only print from 2004 I bought. Wonder why :)!!!!!
i myself sometimes have strange rages. they come naturally, though, so it's not really a good thing.
Hmmm 80 lbs of muscle in a year?! I'm sure that could be done with hard work and determination.
Mrtommy- He wasn't 40 at the time, so I don't know.
I wonder if Kevin Greene reacted like this when he made starting defense:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNVxedatlu0
Michael- Yes, I think they modeled that movie scene after him.
I loved em both (23 & 24), but I was definitely partial to RBrown, probably cause he high schooled about 15 miles from where we lived at the time.
FSJ and Michael - the relation of the two videos was immediately obvious to me. Michael, you must be in your bammer mode today or it would have also been obvious to you ;-)
1. Jet as Spurrier? Get me a visor. I love it.
2. PaulMain talks up Tommie Agee and James Bostic. Stop. Just stop. You had me at that avatar. You need your own category ... BEYOND NOTABLE NEWCOMER.
3. Thankfully, we don't ahve to choose between Ronnie and Cadillac. But I'm with FSJ, in a showcase system, Ronnie Brown would have been incredible.
Thank god Auburn didn't do this. This is about as bad as I've ever seen as far as publicity goes:
UT Publicity
THT..you musta lived in the Kennesaw/Acworth. RB's cousin worked for my wife's landscape company up until a few years ago.
The "opportunities" for RB to get in trouble im Miami are mindblowing. Someone is always tempting those pros with something. He has carefully structured his life to avoid "opportunities".
I hope RB can avoid those temptations. He is a fantastic person, and he ain't half bad as a football player. I think he could have had Joe Cribbs type numbers if given the opportunity.
yep, Hoopie, about 4 miles south of Acworth in Burnt Hickory Lakes. I always got a kick out of the "3 sparkling lakes" advertised by the developer when they built the subdivision c1990. One was nothing more than a muddy retention pond. We lived on top of a hill with a "majestic view of the north Georgia mountains", which I believe were hills in south Cherokee County. But I do miss that long-range view. I'm a mtn top kind of guy.
Big Bird ... Good thing you've left sesame street. You're far too substantive for that place.
"I liked TT and being a $2 ho doesn't make you a bad person but he burned up a ton of goodwill with his end of year antics."
Got a good freshman class this year, Jay G.
Yeah, Eddie, I'm glad our coaches and PR folks have a little more sense than that. Chains around the neck, hmm. And with that another thought passed through my head.
that UT thing is pretty queer. i can't believe they're all posing topless around a car. r u kidding me? if the women's soccer or gymnastics team did the same thing that s*** would blow up like the Godfather!!!!
You know Orgeron had to be there somewhere. Has he ever missed an opportunity to rip his shirt off?
now that's funny Eddie.
Is that tenn. ad for real. I think it must be a joke.
that sure looks like Eric Berry wearing those chains. dunno.....
Is Dyer suppose to be announcing today?
dunno Steve.
if you want a preview of our 1st game in 37 days....
http://cfn.scout.com/2/882966.html
The childish $2 hoe comments make no sense. Who among us wouldn't listen when someone offered us a new job with more money? Are we all $2 hoes?
Norm?
talk to me Norm.
dang it Norm, where are you???!!!
flip.
