Hey everyone. Let's get to business.

- Auburn is in full pads today.
- Morgan Hull took his turn at placekicker today. He connected on six of his eight kicks. Distances extended to 40 yards.
- Hull and Wes Byrum trade days. Byrum kicked yesterday. He won't kick today.
- Assistant coach Jay Boulware after a sluggish opening to a punt-block drill: ``What is this? A pillow fight?"
- Gene Chizik was notably hands-on during the punting drills. He had plenty to say after every snap.
- Injury brigade includes: S T'Sharvan Bell, S Mike McNeil, OL Bart Eddins, DE Dee Ford and WR Tim Hawthorne ... though he was helping with practice.

What does DL do all day except Stand at the HABOTN and wait for new posts...
I hope all of these INJURIES are normal practice dings and not really play time eliminators. What keeps you off the practices field does not alwasys keep you out of a game
is it as hot there as it is here?
atl - I don't know. But he's brought more substance to this blog than anyone I know.
It’s all about JGT and the knowledge he flows upon us from his exalted throne on the AU practice field..
Is there anything else worth doing in August??
It was HOT for 10:30 a.m.
Yes.
Really Great pictures Jay.
I am now a follower of twitter on HABOTN
we got 95 here by noon. bad day for yard work.
Thanks, digger!
I sure would like to see that boot come off Tim Hawthorne's foot.
you know, there is really no good reason to practice in the heat other than two-a-days this year. Most all games, especially early season games will be night games.
If it was me I would start the first practice at 6:00am and the second at 10:00pm
Welcome Sir
I haven't got the hang of twitter down pat but I am learning
Good Monday, all!
That's a good point, Eddie, about the night games. By the time we get to the day games maybe it will be cooler.
Going back to the earlier thread, back in 80's my husband tried to take his camera into a game and was not permitted to do so. He pursued it with the athletic office later but couldn't get them to change the rule. We both thought that kind of rule was impossible to enforce now with camera phones everywhere. Interesting that it looks like we may be going back to the bad old days.
Just took the dog for a walk. The heat was too much. She quit on me, laid in the grass, and insisted on being in the tub. Guess she won't be making the club.
Digger- Is a fan of the night shift! :)
JGT...
what camera do you use for your pics... please do not say the one on your iphone....
Peter- That sounds like my daschund. If we go walking in just a little heat, we better have the stroller for the our daughter with the storage area underneath for the dog to ride in on the way back
Lovin the Twitter updates!
excellent
Speaking of Camera's, i've had my Nikkon D80 for about 8 Months now and what an awesome camera it is. Too bad I don't know how to use hardly any of the features yet...I guess I need to take a class.
I'm pretty stoked to know that comcast internet subscribers now have access to ESPN360.com
that's not fair :-(
lovin' the pics.
Super Mario is giving JG the "You want some hate? I've got your Hate, right over here." look.

who is sddie

Mario Speedwagon is one bad dude.
Is Bart Eddins always hurt? Someone get that guy on Medicare.
Jay G, do you feel these "injuries" are legitamate or mostly just precautionary?
Thanks for the excellent photo of Mario Speedwagon. The guy is all veins.
I use a Nikon D1, which is eight years old. It was a really awesome camera eight years ago.
It works swell in bright light. Twilight and indoors? No dice.
we get ESPN360 with Comcast now? yippee!!!!!!
Sean: Eh, semi-legitimate.
These guys are able to walk around and lift weights ...
Eddie, you make a good point about our schedule and the night games. I believe the first 3 are already slated to be at night.
This schedule does seem favorable to a team with a lack of depth wanting to develop young talent. Practice can basically continue until the end of September.
Agreed somewhat Steve. WVU and La Tech are not automatic wins, they will be challenging.
By the way. I like that you are back to the old school Steve Avatar.
omg...Those are pads...I need a moment. Gotta go smoke a cigarette.
New video is UP.
I love me some night games at Auburn.
I live in the Augusta, Georgia market and we got ESPN360 on Comcast last year. Does Comcast offer different packages to different areas of the country? Hubby is stroking to get some additional football package my son told him about and he lives in ATL.
Injuries:
Sitting out a day or 2 to promote quicker healing and prevent further damage is smart. It's when a particular player constantly has different injuries, that the coach's job gets tuffer: is it lack of tuffness, conditioning, cronic bad techniques or bad luck.
Over time, the coach's will be less inclined to give chances to the cronically hurt.

by the way, not sure what the situation is in Augusta, but the press release about the ESPN360.com/ComcastISP deal was dated May 19, 2009.
