2nd half: Auburn @ LSU
Hey everyone. We're watching -- and commenting on -- the second half of Auburn's game at Louisiana State University.
- LSU POSSESSION ONE: TOUCHDOWN. Brandon LaFell 17 pass from Jordan Jefferson. PAT kick good. Drive covered 45 yards in four plays.
- LSU 24, AUBURN 0
- AUBURN POSSESSION ONE: FIELD GOAL. Wes Byrum 24 yards. Drive covered 53 yards in nine plays.
- LSU 24, AUBURN 3
- LSU POSSESSION TWO: PUNT.
- AUBURN POSSESSION TWO: PUNT. Auburn burrowed into LSU territory, but the drive faded fast once it crossed mid-field.
- LSU POSSESSION THREE: TOUCHDOWN. Russell Shepard 70 run. PAT kick good. That's a wrap, kids.
- LSU 31, AUBURN 3
I'm no longer updating this in real-time because, well, I have to write and I know how this one is going to end.

I have been sitting back tonight reading a lot of posts by a lot of people. I have to agree with most everything that was said. I do think that it has become quite obvious that not only are we short of players, we are woefully short of talent. I don't think that the coaching staff has to this point recognized that fact. I also believe that the Gus bus has blown an engine. I think that he has made some very pitiful calls in the last few games. I think that he has become predictable and the SEC defensive coordinators have figured out how to stop this offense with the players that we have. I don't think that the hurry up offense is helping anything anymore especially our defense. I believe that we are actually a bit further along in wins and losses than I thought we would be; however, we are regressing and that does not bode well for the rest of the season. I believe that it is time to start looking to the future and playing some that have not had much playing time up to this point. I don't say give up on the season, I say just attack the rest of the season in a different manner. I truly believe that it is time to give Caudle his chance. I believe that he earned that during spring practice this year. I believe that it is time to either move away from or abandon altogether the wildcat formation. It is not productive in its present form at all, in fact, it is beginning to be a drive stopper in some cases. If we don't have someone on the team this year and I think we do, that can run the wildcat effectively, I believe that it would be better to just wait until we get the personnel to run it. I see a lot of things that could be better but in my earnest optimism, I believe that they can be made better even if it is not this season. I still think that the future can be bright. Will it be? We will have to wait and see. Having said all that I have, I will say once again, corny or not, I believe in Auburn and will stick with her to the bitter end. I am an Auburn Man. I have never in my 70 years been anything else. Good night all, I hope that each of you awakes to a brighter more beautiful Burnt Orange and Navy Blue day.
