Auburn 33, Ole Miss 20
Hey everyone. Hope you enjoyed the game. Auburn fans surely are feeling much better about their ballclub this evening.
Chris Todd looked effective. The pass rush was aggressive. Eltoro Freeman was a swell run-stopped. Ole Miss converted only 3 of its 15 third-down situations.
Not too shabby for a team not expected to win today.
Here's what Auburn is saying ...
Chris Todd looked effective. The pass rush was aggressive. Eltoro Freeman was a swell run-stopped. Ole Miss converted only 3 of its 15 third-down situations.
Not too shabby for a team not expected to win today.
Here's what Auburn is saying ...
- Gene Chizik on his team: ``I can't give our football team enough credit. The question that everybody wanted to know was -- How is your football team going to respond in a tough time? I think today is a great example of the way they were going to respond. They willed that win. That was a very, very good football team that we beat tonight and our kids deserved it because they never quit fighting. It doesn't surprise anybody in our locker room. That's who they are. I thought tonight proved to a lot of people that we were going to contend and fight."
- Ted Roof on how he's talked to his unit recently: ````You don't sugar coat it. You tell them the truth," Roof said. ``At the same time, when you lose, you also tell them what they did good. There’s some things they do good. It's hard not to get too low, because it just rips your guts out. I'm just proud of the way they responded."
- Ben Tate on cracking the 1,000-yard barrier: ````That's good to surpass 1,000 yards. It's even better than I did it in a game that we won. I'm happy about that," he said. ``I want to congratulate my offensive line. Maybe I'll take them out or something like that."
- Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt on Antonio Coleman: ``Coleman played on a whole different level today. He was on a different level that what we saw on film. We had a hard time with him, then we had to chip him a little bit. It takes away a receiver."
- Players were told that Zac Etheridge's x-rays showed no structural damage. Several players said they were led to believe Etheridge would be discharged from East Alabama Medical Center on Sunday.
- Walt McFadden ... telling it like it is: ``We needed this. Maybe some of us were feeling sorry for ourselves. Today they showed that we believe in each other, we know we can play. This is not last year. We're not fixin' to give up, we're not going to point fingers, we're not fixin' to say we need a new quarterback, we need a new running back, we're not fixin' to say anything. We're just going to go out every week and play how we always play."

Oh, yeah BABY!
Penn Wagers looks like the grocery store manager who yells at the teen-agers in the parking lot on Friday nights.
How do you know the McFadden pick was clean? The Ole Miss coaches don't say a peep.
Out to practice early.
Hellooooo.
Walt McFadden!
This thread is a haunted house, and I'm all alone.
I feel sorry for you jet, nothing of substance to add.
I was talking about myself adding no substance, not Jet.
Even if it's unknown substance, it's substance!
I'm watching the second half right on the DVR ... the part of the game I missed due to the funeral.
The third quarter had to be one of the more bizarre quarters in recent Auburn history.
I don't think the Ole Miss player was touched on either long touchdown.
That was a fun half Jet. Especially the beginning of the 3rd quarter.
PTL!!! That's great news on Zac!
In re McCluFu's TD ... he wasn't touched. Eltoro got lit up by the pulling guard, Walt got taken by the FB, and Slade took an atrocious angle.
Daren Bates needs to show a lot more class on the field.
Good point on Bates. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten some unsportsmanlike penalties for actions after the play.
In other news, UT's black jerseys are even uglier than Georgia's new helmets.
yabba
dabba
duuuuuuuuuu!!!!
Sitting in the stadium, you can hear the disgust when the moomentum killer formation lines up. What do yall think that formation is?
I didn't realize Chris Capps played LT for Ole Miss.
WTC ...
Was that your first post after the game?
yes
And I did nto read the other posts during the game.
Did I miss something?
WTC ...
We won. Be happy!
I'm guessing Wildcat or kicking off. They're both painful to watch.
I am very happy. It just seems that that wildcat formation takes the momentum away from our offense.
Someone must have said something on the other posts about being negative. Too bad. I like the winning, but that formation has Stallworth all over it. he is a PLAYE.
AU out WRs & DBs on the kickoff team today. On the run back Darvin Adams was not in and his replacememnt did not fill his lane.
Do not undertand how Morgan Hull puts the 1st couple of kickoffs in the endzone and then he kicks it to the 20 twice in a row.
Nah ... I'm just jabbing a little ... we win a game, and your first shot is complaining about the Wildcat (which I'll be glad to help you complain about).
I'm just giddy over a win. I even liked the part that Ole Miss made a run, and we held on instead of stomping them 31-7. It suits our needs long term to win battles.
On a positive note, the Chik Fil A officials were there today. I think 8 wins gets Au there.
When they ran the KO back, you could hear the enthusiasm form the fans being sucked out of the stadium.
Exciting game though. Happy for Todd and Tate and Fannin had a very good game. A Coleman finally got going and wore their OT out.
Is everyone trick or treating? Wife bought candy and I scared the kids off so can eat the Reese Cups.
I guess so ... I'm here at the house by myself and I'm getting bombarded ... the dog is yapping and my head hurts.
I locked the dog up. There was a bunch that came by at 6:45-7:00 (about 25 toal) and that has been it. Lights go out at 8:00pm. i start munching on the candy at 8:01pm.
How about Terrell Zachery's catch in the first? Probably the best catch I have EVER seen.
i was going to complain about the KodiCat formation as a mo killer but then I thought that it did produce a TD pass, so I let it go.
The Reese's Pumpkins are in my "don't give to the kids" stash.
TENNESSEE LOOKS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
THAT LOOKS PUTRID. STUPID. CHILDISH.
Agree, agree, agree Jet
I'll take a win. but AU still has plenty to work on. AU is a big play offense and a bend but not break (very often) defense.
We haven't heard from Cincy. I wonder how the tailgating at the new condo went?
Iowa's INT return for a TD was crazy ... the QB was hit as he threw, and it ricocheted of four people in a tight space and the guy caught it and went 95 for the TD
After seeing Jahja's ridiculous outfits today and UT's Halloween costumes tonight, I think I would puke if they ever tried something like that with the Auburn's unis.
I never made it to Cincy's place. I got there about 9:20am tiger walk was over as they shortened since it was raining. One of my friends said there was not very many fans there at that time. I thought it was the smallest crowd outside the stadium I have ever seen. I thought there is no way we get 70k in the stadium. They are saying we had 84k+. It filled in really fast right before the kick off.
UT's uniforms aren't bad as a halloween thing, but as a regular uniform, they would be terribly ugly.
As for Georgia, if they can just wear those ugly black jerseys with those ugly black helmets, add some ugly black pants and they will be perfect.
I am assuming they are wearing black in honor of the passing of Richt, but it is a bit premature.
Anyone got any idea why a mediocre Notre Dame team is playing a Washington State team that hopes to be mediocre some day in prime time?
Is anyone getting the USC game on ESPN2? They advertised all week that you could watch both the USC and Texas games, but I have ESPNNews on my ESPN2 channel.
Because Notre Dame has their own network.
Black jerseys. How original.
Any confirmation of the rumor that Garcia is going to change his name to Pinata?
UT's unis are beyond awful!
I cannot speak on jawja's new helmet because I didn't see it...
Well, UT's new uniforms aren't as bad as UGA's. UT's old uniforms were ugly so going from ugly to ugly isn't as bad.
Georgia's new helmet look hideous..
Looked like Grambling's with a red face mask.
I have the Oregon/USC game on ESPN2. It is Oregon 17, USC 10.
If anyone is interested, the USC/Oregon game is on the ESPN2 standard channel, but not the HD channel.
War Eagle! HABOTNites... it sure feels good to win a big game! And yes, this wa s abig win for our team. It provided a much needed confidence boost heading into Furman (where we will hopefully rest some starters and heal up some) and Jawja...
The defense looked like it might have turned a corner this week... they looked much improved as a unit. Still bend but (hopefully) don't break, with a lot of bend... but they tackled better and got more pressure on the QB this week.
Offense looked like they were controlling the tempo and the game...when they wanted to. When Todd was allowed to get in a rhythm with the offense, we moved the ball.
I am very happy about the win... much needed for this team's confidence. Hopefully a momentum builder.
Almost had a conniption fit today when our local station (I am in GA) left the game slap in the middle of a play and went to the blame GA-FLA game. It was barely in the 4th quarter.
I was blowing a gasket. I screamed out "sonofa....." when hubby casually hollered from the next room,"Calm down , it's on Comcast 702".
Best $100plus dollars my hubby ever spent for Comcast gameplan. Did I mention I love my hubby
??????
Seriously I would have been totally pissed!
Oregon is apparently magically delicious. They are wearing the uglies uniform combination I have seen yet. It is basically all dark green except the O on the side of the helmet.
I was most pleased with the defensive play today. Eltoro looked like a playmaker. Coleman started looking like Coleman. We actually sacked their QB, which was pretty cool. This was by far our best defensive performance of the season and I think a lot of it has to do with more Bull and less $hit.
Coleman stepped up today... he played a grown man's game today!
The latest Auburn Everyday has an excellent piece on AC away from the field. A real eye-opener to see what some of these guys overcome to make it to play major college football.
Any word on Zac?
Miss St and KY is a good game. A Dixon has 219 yards through 3 quarters
31-24 Miss St end of 3.
It was a GREAT day today but had to take a nap when I got home from the early rise and cold weather! It will be worth getting sick for! Sorry for everyone that didn't go today.
How was the atmosphere at the stadium today?
Just got home from Auburn! I made it to Cincy's condo, which is very nice by the way, as Cincy, her family and her dogs!
Tiger Walk was the smallest I have ever seen. There was no excitement from the players or the fans. The scholarship parking lot was empty an hour before the game. The stands looked empty too until right before kickoff. The place filled up fast. Still some empty seats up top, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Great game. Enjoyed watching the defense pressure the QB for a change. AC and Eltoro finally showed up. Did Eltoro break a finger?
I haven't had a chance to read all the previous comments yet. Did I miss anything?
You were there for the win Kathy....that is all that matters!
Defense actually looked good today...did y'all see how high Roof was jumping when Mcfadden picked that last ball?!! I hope somebody got a picture of it!
For the fans that were there it was a good atmosphere even with the empty seats.
Even the special teams weren't too bad today! All in all a good Auburn win!
I know you sometime have to pay the price for blitzing and pressuring the quarterback but oh how I loved seeing some of that today.
Our defense had some life today!
Yes, and the GA unis were ridiculous...looked like they came from the 70's, I'm liking our chances against them!
Looks like we have found the winning combination - send me to the game, Eddie stay home, and Jet go to a funeral.
Not wishing your friends any bad luck, Jet. There's always a funeral going on somewhere.
You are so right Missinit! I enjoyed this game and today's defense a lot! Maybe we should wear Navy more often!
I agree with wtc - Kodi in the wildcat is killing all our momentum and it just has to be junked.
Mcluster is FAH...
Coaches were fired up...
Why do we like being the underdog so much?
Football must be boring tonight my husband is watching baseball
We got a new call on us today didn't we?
Got a penalty for going to fast. Never seen that call before.
I thought when the umpire sets the ball and steps back, the ball is in play. How can the center snap it otherwise??? A new one on me!!!
Go Figure!!!!
Considering the early kick, the rain and cold... I thought the turn out for the game was pretty good. The atmosphere was a good one. The fans seemed to be into the game and the student section was definitely into it. It may not have been a packed house, and may not have been as rowdy as a night game would have been... but it was a very good atmosphere considering the conditions.
WEG,
Football is good tonight... but it is the World Series....
Hey Eddie - I checked out the dry seats for future reference. Looks like row 48 and above would be dry unless there was an east wind.
I found some seats on row 3 in the west upper deck for $20; probably overpaid but I felt sorry for the guy trying to sell them. I've never seen the streets that deserted before a game; there was nobody out there at all an hour before the game.
I agree Miller. The place was rockin, all things considered. We had some loud Ole Miss fans sitting in front of us. We didn't hear anything out of them in the 2nd half.
D. Miller, I agree, the fans got pretty loud and helped the team out.
I would say McFadden collected his rent money, wouldn't ya'll????
True missinit. I thought the same thing!
Were Trooper and the wide receivers looking at their watches after a big play because this was their time?
Kathy,
When Zac got hurt it seemed on TV that the place got quiet as a church mouse.......they showed the team praying, but man was it quiet and scary! Was it as quiet as it seemed?
I couldn't remember Trahan's # but wondered how he was reacting
also I am sure Malzhan was just a little satisfied with a win over Nutt!
very quiet...scary
Also wanted to take Trott out but he redeemed himself
Very quiet and very scary.
Congratulations to Ben Tate for going over 1000 yards for the season.
Kathy,
On TV it did seem that every time we scored the player would draw a line across his arm kinda like turning a page.
What was that all about???
Trahan was #7.
State beats UK
After Adams caught that TD pass, he looked at his arm liked he was looking at his watch, as did Trooper Taylor. We noticed several players doing it, but didn't know why.
Maybe they were reminding us to set our clocks back an hour tonight!
Has anybody noticed that "ya know" is the most overused word(s) in football vernacular????
Dixon from Miss St just used it about a hundred times in that interview
Also, the Ole Miss running back that Z Etheridge was on top of had the presence of mind not to move and push him off. Kudos to him for that.
maybe they were checking to see how long it's been since we scored passing touchdowns...about 3 games.
From the ESPN website:
"Tate then scampered 53 yards for a score, becoming the fifth Auburn back to surpass 3,000 career yards. He tapped an imaginary wristwatch after that play, a gesture the Tigers made after big plays in the game.
"We're just saying it's time for us to do what we got to do," receiver Terrell Zachery said."
I agree that it was time for them to DWWD! Great game and our defense started looking like an Auburn defense is suppose to look: fast, aggressive, opportunistic, and violent.
As far as Bates showing class goes... apparently he was holding up four fingers after every tackle for #4 Zac Ethridge.
The game would have been an absolute runaway by Auburn if we would have managed to hold onto those 3 interceptions that we dropped int he first half, and recover the fumble on the opening kickoff!
Antonio Coleman had a huge day, with four tackles for a loss, two sacks and four quarterback hurries.
Cat ...
My problem was he was wagging the "4" over McCluster when he was rolling around hurt.
Not to mention the fumble caused by McFadden (I think) that was called an incomplete catch.
True, BigCat...
I heard a lot of folks complaining that we didn't challenge that or that it wasn't reviewed. I guess people don't realize that it wasn't reviewable because the officials called it incomplete on the field.
And yes, it was a fumble.
Yea Jet Bates definately plays with a chip on his shoulder that has carried over from his recruiting snubs. I thought he had calmed down from the first few games of the season. Guess he still has a ways to go but he's young.
No fussing about officiating ... I watched the game on TV ... the overturned interception in the first half was huge, and I can't conclusively say I saw it hit the ground, as much as I wanted it to.
Why would calling it incomplete on the field keep you from being able to review it?
FSJ ...
The whistle blows, killing action on the field.
So a pass caught on the sideline that is rule out of bounds (thus incomplete) is not reviewable?
fsj,
creates a dead ball situation... I dunno any other reasoning behind it. It's just a rule in the replay review rules.
If they had called it a catch and fumble, they could have reviewed it and made the call however necessary... but since they called it incomplete on the field it was a dead ball and not reviewable.
Same with a runner being ruled down. As soon as the whistle blows the play is dead and anything that happens afterward is not reviewable.
Been a long good day....going to get my extra hour of sleep now! War Eagle and hope we keep DWWD!!
Jet I thought I saw that overturned INT hit the ground. I thought it was a tell-tell sign that the guy that celebrated getting the INT was not the one that had the ball last.
I understand what you are saying about the fumble situation...but I would think that the situation I described above is reviewable (i.e. in bounds/out of bounds) even if they rule it incomplete.
I agree with Jet though on the overturned interception.
They certainly never showed anything on TV that showed the ball hitting the ground. Apparently the replay officials had a view that wasn't shown. The other UM player kept getting in the way of the end of the play.
Nope, FSJ.
Apples ... oranges. Once a ball is ruled incomplete in the field of play, those who could recover it don't move to recover is because they think the play is dead.
Hence the college rule is no replay -- non reviewable.. The pros may do it differently.
I believe that may be the 1 caveat in the rule... IF the catch is made but the official rules that his feet landed OB, thus an incomplete pass... I believe they can review that as a catch or not... because the WR would obviously be out of bounds at the spot of the (alleged) catch...
Don't quote me on that...I could be wrong.
I know we are not criticizing the refs but what about that penalty we got for running the play too fast or something like that? I forgot what they called it because I had never heard of it before.
USC has given up more than 300 on the ground.
I was confused on that as well. I thought once the ball was set and the official stepped away from it that play could start immediately.
I heard someone say that there was a camera angle from the north endzone that was unimpeded by the players involved that clearly showed the ball touch green grass.... Apparently the tv broadcast showed 3 angles, one each from either sideline and 1 from the south endzone...
Since I was at the game, I don't know if this was true or not... just what I heard.
I think the difference is that the scenario y'all are describing involves a potential fumble. I understand how the ruling of incomplete stops the play there...
BTW...I am glad we don't have to play Tennessee again.
Stan White said that the signal to start the play clock had not been given.
I had never heard of that one either.... You never know what Penn Wagers will make up on the spot though.
It's not when the umpire moves, it's when the white hat blows the whistle. He was starting to drop his hand and blow the whistle at the snap ... one second later, it wouldn't have been an issue.
If there is an obscure rule hidden somewhere deep in a dungeon and there is a play close to it Auburn will get the call against them.
Bank on it
FSJ I am glad we dont have to play Tennessee again either!
Also, the umpire leaned and spoke to Pugh. I would imagine he told him not to snap until the whistle blows.
The signal is given by the white hat... from behind the QB...
The field judge is not supposed to step away from the ball until the signal is given... All the QB has to go one visually is when the field judge steps away.
I can understand where that may have been the case (what Stan White said)... but wouldn't that be more of a delay by the refs for not having their isht together rather than on the offense? Just didn't make a lot of sense.
Digger I thought to myself, do these guys just study the rule books for obscure penalties before they call our games.
And yes.... UT seems to be getting better as the season progresses... at least their defense is impressive.
Also Crompton is looking more like a living, breathing QB these days.
BigCat I am convinced of this. I have seen more calls against Auburn over the years that I don't see any where else.
Has anyone seen a list of visitors for the game? I knew that Lattimore was suppose to be there and I heard that Gorey Grant was coming for another visit.
How was that not a penalty on UT?
I wonder if we can request quicker officials?
We can request
but won't get
Oregan 41 Sou Cal 20 12 min 4th Qtr
Yea Oregon!!!
Cant get local channels with DTV so I have to watch it online.
Furman will be pay per view, correct?
Cat, I'm watching it on ESPN2 *non HD
In a hurry up situation, they will let the umpire back out of the way before the whistle ... which I think was part of the conversation between the umpire and Pugh.
At least that's the way I did it calling HS ball.
I've seen it called 2-3 times this year ... I think the rolling play clock is helping contribute to it ... the QB see the clock rolling and he thinks he's good to go.
Oregon ... Jeremiah
USC ... Lamentations.
Oregon has 600-plus yards ... has made 9 trips into the red zone ... I'm sorry, but when USC gets its @$$ kicked, I get a little misty.
Just watched the sports on WSFA in Montgomery, they said Ethridege had been moved to UAB for further tests.
I have not heard that elsewhere, take it for what it's worth.
Why is a top 10 team storming the field after a win?
That is sad... just sad...
D ...
That's what happens when you have 80 uniforms, you have no identity.
Evening Gang! Winning is truly very fun! War Eagle!
And I seem to recall in many games they make a point of saying that EVERY play is up for review in a college game, it's just whether or not they decide to review it. And they also make a point of saying its different from pro ball. Then again maybe I'm speakin' out ma butt.
And the prototype helmet is now 6-3, and could very well be 8-1 if it weren't for some, what I will call, growing pains.
Jet,
You make me laugh!
Missinit ...
Mrs. Jet cries.
I know losing always seems to feel worse than winning feels good but dang it this doesn't feel real good.
We went trick or treating and got a........treat!
speakin of the Mrs..... did Mrs. Jet's hand heal since the spider bite????
Just got back home from Auburn Damn it felt good to win.... I was one who thought we would get crushed.... Brother Jet I think you called it right all week.... Sensi and most of the rest of us where dead wrong!!!!! Everyone have a great night and War Eagle!
Yes, missinit, she just has a small scar. Thanks for asking.
I'm outta here.
It's late over here in the Eastern time zone.
Just enjoying the victory.
It's always great to be an Auburn Tiger!!!
Don't forget to set those clocks back for an extra hour of snooze!!!
g'nite!!!!
I need to pick 10 games for next weeks office pool pick em contest...

jinkies. everyone must have crashed from their halloween candy sugar high and the AU win high.
todd's gotta start hitting those open td passes. it would be nice to get a few where the wr doesn't fall down making the catch.
i say rest FAH and get him as ready as can be for the iron bowl.
i hope marcus lattimore enjoyed his official visit. the early start, less than ideal weather and halloween definitely impacted the crowd. i guess we figured this would have been an espn night game a few weeks ago when he scheduled.
chip chip is just happy with the W.
dm,
USC @ ASU
O @ Stanford
OU @ Nebraska
Army @ Air Force
Duke @ UNC
Troy @ WKU

Unfortunately ... I had to go to the school to pick up Stewardess and Mrs. Jet from a band trip.
The extra hour is lost in translation. Ugh.
Goooooood Morning Hotties!
Unfortunately my body did not get the message that we got an extra hour of sleep last night.
I could have used it!
War Eagle, anyway!
Apparently Feng missed the memo about the time change. War Eagle everybody...I'll be working on the Christmas float after church today. Say a little prayer for my fingers.
Would Penn Wagers flag Feng for posting before the "ready for post" whistle?
Happy November everyone!
Wow this year has flown by.
Someone explain to me how we lost to Kentucky?
Looking through the stats, some that jump out at me.
Opponents have gotten 22 1st downs via penalty against us.
We are averaging almost 60 yards in penalties per game.
We come out of the locker room hot, with 94 points in the 3rd quarter which is 17 more than any other quarter.
We average 3.4 yards per punt return.
Walt McFadden has 4 interceptions.
Tate is averaging 118 yards rushing per game, and 141 total yards per game.
Coleman's big game yesterday got him up to 5.5 sacks and 11 tackles for a loss.
RK I wake up nighly in a cold sweat asking myself the same thing...
Good Morning.
RK ...
How? Simple. Youth. Inexperience.
Look at the season.
We killed State, who won at UK, who won at our place. Arkansas whipped us, who beat Ole Miss, who whipped Arkansas.
For the teams that aren't at the top level -- you win some games you're not expected to, and you lose some you're not expected to.
Despite the experience of some (Ziemba, Pugh, Coleman), we're not an experienced football team. I'm just elated this team didn't phone it in -- especially after giving up a 94 yard drive to start the game.
I'm not a fan of the KodiCat, but it seems to me there's a commitment there to Kodi because of his commitment and leadership to the team. We're just gonna have to deal with it.
It's still Kentucky at home though...
I appreciate that Kodi is a stand up guy and has said and done all the right things, but that formation gets us almost nothing every time.
just watched the Auburn Everyday Preview show. Kodi Burns and AC Coleman are true Auburn men. Great pieces on both of them. Coach challenged the team after the LSU lost and I think we had several step up to that challenge this week.
War Eagle!
Even though the Wildcat formation doesn't produce as much as we would like, it definately sets up big plays later in games. Remember FAH dropped a great pass for a TD against UT and that was from Kodi. And that element is exactly what Malzahn wants for his offense.
I learned that Gus usually has something up his sleeve after our record breaking 93-yard TD pass. It was definately set up by some ineffective passes off of a similar route. I kept thinking why does he keep throwing this pass. Then he hits the long bomb and I thought ok Gus do your thing.
The Wildcat part is fine, it's having Kodi run it that I'm not sure is the best option.
I just watched Auburn Everyday for the first time and I LOVE IT!
Having Kodi run the wildcat is painful to watch most of the time but I understand why and am alright with it. It does disrupt the momentum most of the time but I can live with that for the overall benefit to the emotions of the team.
Who else would we get to run the Wildcat? Kodi is as tough as nails, he's not going to fumble, and he is a decent enough QB to take care of the ball in limited action.
How many times will Tate tease his OL about taking them out to dinner? He'd better pony up and do that Golden Corral trip. He's been saying this since September.
Slade stepped up when Etheridge went down.
I loved that hit Jason King made on Gandy on the opening kickoff. Great tackle!
Big Cat,
Kodi is not a really effective runner or passer. The Wildcat is designed for a much faster more effective runner than Kodi will ever be.
Kodi's running plays are him dancing and then falling forward off balanced for 2 yards.
Kathy,
I thought except for the breakdown on the long run the D played really well after the 1st drive.
Another sloppy win wherein the offense scores a bunch....I'll talke it.
That crazy 3rd qtr is something that would historically occur in an LSU game.
Don't get me wrong, Kodi is a good tough kid who has all shown us a lot as far as heart goes this year, I just don't feel that him running the wildcat is helping us out as much as it slows momentum.
That 3rd quarter deserved to be played on Halloween.
36 points combined for both teams in that quarter on some insane plays.
Then 0 points in the 4th quarter.
T stallworth should be and will be (nest year) runing the wildcat. That position was made for him. He is avery good player.
Always hate to see a player go down with an injury. Hope Zac recovers soon.
Was please with Slade filling in. I think he takes a better angle to the runner than Zac did.
I thought it was Chris Humphries that made the opening hit on the KO. I could be wrong.
That really got the crowd going. It seemed like thye woke up right from the begining. Then OM goes throuhg our D like a hot knife through butter. i thought we were in for a long day.
BTW-the fly over was very cool and LOUD.
I thought Slade did very well filling in for ZE. Having Furman next week will allow Slade to get some valuable experience heading into UGA...
That may have been the loudest flyover I have ever seen... my ears were ringing for the entire first half after that.
Happy All Saints Day HOTTIEs!
First time all year I was able to see a game from home (had the day off) - very pleased with the results.
We're still the same team that lost to UK, which is to be expected. . .but I was struck by the team's effort yesterday. Even after that early drive by Ole Nutt, we just looked more like the team from weeks 1-5. Once we took the lead, then held the Rebs scoreless the rest of the half, I just felt like we were going to win.
War Eagle all...Did anyone see the plant job Carter did on Snead on Walts pick 6 it was hilarious..
I hope everyone is having a blessed All Saint's Day. For the Hotties who have lost friends or family this year, our thoughts and prayers are with you as you remember and celebrate the lives of your loved ones.
Interesting that Om will now ahve to beat wither Tenn, MSU, or LSU to become bowl eligible. I guess the pollster had that one all screwed up. They were ranked #4 at one time.
The Qb from Houstn had 559 yards passing against Southern MIss. He was 44 for 54 or close to that.
WTC,
That's not going to be easy for OM to achieve. UT is better than they were at the beginning of the year and so is MSU. And of course, LSU is no pushover.
