Rivals.com expert impressed with Auburn
Hey everyone. I'm working on a story about how Gene Chizik has changed Auburn during his 11 months on the job. I talked to several people today about that topic and I'm intrigued with some of the stuff I've learned.
It's one thing to be embedded like me. People who stand on the periphery see things from a different perspective. They bring up stuff I hadn't considered or re-affirm some things I think I know.
If that makes sense.
One of today's interviews was with Barton Simmons of Rivals.com, who focuses on recruiting throughout the Southeast and Texas.
Here's what he had to say about Auburn:
Q: What has been your impression of how Gene Chizik has changed Auburn's image in the recruiting world?
A: The way they've gone about it all -- they're clearly going after elite players in their region. They have the best of the best in their sights. Some people might say they're shooting for the stars, but I think it's going to pay off. It's already paying off. They're in the mix for a different level of recruit now. They're going after better guys and getting better guys.
Q: Like Michael Dyer?
A: Exactly. You didn't see Tuberville going after a guy like that unless he was in-state. Chizik and those guys went to Arkansas and got the best player in Arkansas. Same for Trovon Reed. They went to Louisiana and got the best player in Louisiana. People just don't do that with LSU down there.
Q: Simply getting Dyer and Trovon Reed committed ... is that a victory in an of itself?
A: Absolutely. I continue to hear kids say they're interested in Auburn. They've gotten themselves out there among these kids. They know about Auburn, what's happening at Auburn, who's going to Auburn. Guys like Dyer and Reed, it's like dominoes. Word gets around. Good players want to play with good players and that's what Chizik has done. He's created a reputation.
Q: Where does Auburn go from here?
A: There's still a lot of room and time for Auburn to get in with some big recruits. They're on several right now. This group is one to watch. Chizik has made recruiting an emphasis. They all work hard at it -- and that includes Chizik. They all work together to sell that idea of family. I've talked to kids who say they really liked talking to Chizik, said he relates really well with them. They're good at building relationships.
Q: What is your general thought of Auburn right now?
A: They have a sexy offense. Kids really respond to it. The defense -- recruits knows there is a chance to play right now. Auburn could be a sleeping giant. They're only two years out from being a challenger. If they keep recruiting like this, I'd say they're only a few years away from challenging again. It's a program that has really changed how people see them. They're a threat to some programs that probably didn't worry about Auburn before.

substance
right place, right time.
Crimson Hate....
go to heck, bammer.
Now I'll post it on this thread and look forward to your sage advice.
Here's my current conundrum with background:
I'd signed up and paid to run in the Atlanta Marathon which is held on Thanksgiving Day. This was to have been my first full length marathon. That being the case, we weren't going to my in-laws in Troy for Thanksgiving and no one there expected to be seeing us. Thanks to my exploding eye, I can't run. Now that the running plans have been changed for me, the Thanksgiving plans have also changed. So I'm driving to Prattville on Saturday morning to bring my daughter back over here until probably 12/6. Then we were going to go to Troy for Thanksgiving with my hot wife going Tuesday and my daughter and I going sometime Wednesday. My hot wife and I had figured to take separate vehicles since I wanted to be back home by around mid-morning on Friday after Thanksgiving to watch the game in my own home. So this all amounts to three separate 400+ mile round trips by me in the Tahoe in about a week's time with the accompanying 16+ hour drive time and gas expense. But, I was willing to do it. So this morning, hot wife says it would make more sense for my daughter and I to just skip coming to Troy. On the face of it, this seems like a mighty fine offer as going to Troy is excruciatingly boring for me. But looking deeper, hot wife could well be setting me up for an epic fail.
What to do, what to do?
Keep Hate Alive
Norm,
What to do? Eat Thanksgiving dinner at the AU Hotel and Conference Center, stay the night and go to the Iron Bowl with your daughter. It's the only reasonable thing to do.
My only question is "How the hell are you driving if you can't even see to run???? "
cool, Jay G.
Do you think those rivals and scout guys have the best made up careers of the past decade?
Will Auburn ever recruit out of sexy places like that school the Clausens came from?
It was a made-up career 12 years ago.
Now? No. I think they're legit.
I hate Bama.
anyone wanna go in with me on making up a career that will be (2) legit (2 quit) a decade from now? I'm kinda over the real world and don't feel like going to law school (zing).
Norm, you compromise.
You and the daughter travel with hot wife to Troy on hot wife's designated travel day. Purchase 5 tickets to the game on Friday and drive up from Troy with daughter and hot wife for the game (the other two tickets are for me and my hot wife... Thanks, by the way, for the tickets! Really appreciate it!). After the game, head back to your home with daughter and hot wife in tow.
Cuts down on travel, appeases (and scores points) with hot wife and in laws. Entertain yourself and daughter with game. It is a win win win on all accounts.
Make it happen.
PF, what ya got in mind?
E-bro, I'm thinking. A lot of good ideas are alreasy taken. Mr.Skin, The Crocodile Hunter, Rivals/Scouts...I need someone to do it with me though.Preferably someone who knows influential people and/or big rollers.
influential people and/or big rollers, huh?
I once ran into Conan O'Brien in the streets? Famous soccer coach Jose Mourinho too?
Does this count?
This signing class is already pretty impressive. Until we got Dyer, Reed, and Owes I considered it a normal class. This class is going to end up being special.
A couple of interesting suggestions from PF and Miller.
PF - the reason I can't run is because I'm not allowed to run post-surgery thanks to the physical impact of running or I'd face the risk of negating the repair and permanent blindness. So I'm happy to forfeit that entry fee and get ready for another marathon on another day. I'm comfortable driving on familiar routes. So there you have it.
If we get ahmad dixon this class wil be just nasty...lattimore is still a strong possibility. very long shot at seastrunk now, probably usc bound
So is your new eye bionic? Will you have x-ray vision and laser beams coming out of it once the tape comes off?
I had considered that, but figured a blind dude driving around was more likely. Sorry, I'm used to that. People come to south Florida to die.
Ok so that's a very good sign. I keep seeing all those stats about teams with great recruiting classes eventually making it to the top. I hope this is a sign of things to come and stay for awhile.
Spurrier has had some good classes. Georgia always has very good classes.
Norm - don't take the bait from hot wife. Even if it wasn't intended as bait but was an honest from the heart offer. Learn from my mistakes (sure wish I could). Go to Troy. Any part of going to Troy you don't like, blame it on UA-T, and just keep on Hatin'.
Pretty cool polling going on at SI.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/specials/fansurvey/2009/sec.html?eref=sihp
It sheds light on the FSJ "UT is a lot of bammers' main rival" argument. 17% of bammers consider UT their main rival.
Here is the main story where Andy Staples summarizes the findings.
It's Puppet Hour. Do you know where your children are at?
The new limit on signing no more than 28, what's the timeframe for that? Is it just signing day? From signing day till fall classes? I'm curious how it all plays out with some recruits enrolling in January to count against a prior year's limit. If we sign 28 on signing day and 5 don't qualify, putting us two under the max enrolling of 25, can we sign 2 the following December for January enrollment? Or is that limit of 28 signings last until the next NSD?
Have I made any sense at all?
one's in Durham, one in Florence, and the one who just turned 16 yesterday is curled up on her rug on the floor.
Good. Puppets have been removed from all those places, THT. The ones on the rug were particularly hard to get rid of. Rest easy.
Very interesting polls, MJT. Thanks for the link!
Just realized I didn't link to the second think I meant to link to when I said "here is the article where Andy Staples summarizes things"
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/andy_staples/11/18/conference.survey/index.html?eref=sihp
There you go, you bunch of lazy bums.
So I'm gonna be at work basically tomorrow and Monday. Someone tell Harrison to show up for Puppet Hour one of those days. We need a real one before the bama game, or we are screwed.
I love that we live in a country where someone can get arrested for possession of marijuana, then win the Cy Young a few weeks later.
This read is a nice early analysis of the upcoming IB from Acid Reign over at Track-em-Tigers.
http://www.trackemtigers.com/2009/11/19/1163772/how-to-win-the-iron-bowl
I'd be more interested in Acid Reign's plan to win the previous Iron Bowl.
Bye Week Hate. That is all.
Gotta like this pic:
http://theauburner.com/
FSJ, you're not in there anywhere, are you?
Uga VII died today.
Sitting in the Detroit airport trying to pull the "men who stare at goats" trick on the crimson clad bammer sitting across from me. Must. Try. Harder
Who names their kid Acid? Sheesh! I wonder if his older brother's name is Bonghit?
This comment has been removed by the author.
wow, that was a great dinner cooked up by MrsTHT. All Molly and I need now is our ice cream with Hershey's chocolate syrup and we'll be ready to crash.
DM .."Acid Reign" is an internet moniker. You might notice that there are are few of them on the HABOTN. Surely ...nevermind
You give Molly hershey's syrup?
please tell me Miller was joking and that Hoopie got the joke.
Is it a joke if it's not funny? If it's not funny should it be construed as a joke? If it is not a joke then is it lame?
I will say that it should have probably been ignored.
yep, PF, just served it up. And Molly was even more impatient than usual this evening. Used a lot of words at me that the rest of us aren't allowed to say. I wasn't scooping the ice cream fast enough.
i thought DMiller's joke was hilarious.
Seriously? You give your dog chocolate? Did you send 2.0 off to Italy with a batch of bad heroin? I'm appalled (or however you spell that)...
hoops, it was lame, yes.
speaking of stuff that's bad for you, Checkers has a new spicy loaded queso fry thing that's awesome. Cheese sauce over fries with diced jalapenos and chopped bacon. I didn't get the bacon, and I'm still sure it chopped 5 years off my life. I think it was worth it.
Is it possible that the subject of bacon is a thread killer?
Nah. It's probably just PF.
I love bacon.
I like being a "threat"
Bacon!!?
Reminds me of a great line in the Grumpy Old Men series of movies.
"Every morning, I wake up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack?
Bacon! A whole damn plate! And I usually drink my dinner."
LOL..OSU with the blackout too..
Bacon is good.
Very good.
Hating UAT is better.
Much better.
Loving AU is best.
Is Tiger Talk on tonight? If so, I guess I'll listen. Surely it can't be as bad as last week...can it?
PF - Molly just gets a dab of Hershey's syrup on her ice cream, not enough to cause any problems. There would be bigger problems for me from Molly AND MrsTHT if I short changed Molly on her syrup.
I think I wish that I ate as well as Molly Dog seems to eat.
Does anybody have any info on Kenny Irons? It's looking like he's back in the league.
has Jay G given an excuse, errrr reason, for not hosting Thursday night live. I've grown accustomed to Tiger Talk, ballgames talk, and ask it live.
Just read in a column by Clay Travis that the SEC has six of the top nine teams in Rivals' current recruiting rankings.
I know SEC teams tend to dominate Rivals rankings, but that is crazy.
Alabama is 2, LSU 4, Florida 5, Tennessee 7, Auburn 8, and Georiga 9.
Wow. That's some really positive stuff from an outside perspective. Most excellent.
I just watched an episode of Hill Street Blues. It had Joe Cabot from Reservoir Dogs as a cop and George Bluth Sr. as a judge. Awesome stuff.
NFL Network offers it's games online, for free, on it's own website. Other sports should take note.
Faker: That line was spoken by Pop Gunderson, played by the late great Burgess Meredith, in Grumpier Old Men, the second and final in the series.
It was Meredith's last role - he died two years after its release at the age of 89. And probably one of his best performances. The scene where he told his granddaughter the story of the 3 bears, then sang "Dream a Little Dream Of Me" as a lullaby - pure magic.
Oh, and the first time I saw the original Grumpy Old Men - the outtakes of Pop looking out the window made me laugh harder than practically anything I've seen before or since.
I loved those movies too Freep..
Freep...
I concur on all points. Old dude was funny.
shut up bammer
Merideth's filmography is outstanding...
Old school Batman
Twilight Zone & Night Gallery
Rocky(s)
And his pinnacle, narrator of Korg: 70,000 BC.
Respect deserved.
OSU just did what Auburn should do against Bama, Play Action after running to the line.
Our offense is sexy. Our defense has cankles.
Cankles and a fupa
fupa?
on an irrelevant subject, i.e. basketball, UNC has 10 different players score in the first 15 minutes of their game against tOSU. It's on the deuce.
Nevermind THT
thanks for protecting my innocence, wakerider.
UNC has 10 turnovers in the first 16+ minutes. They still lead by 12.
I'm not in hoops mode yet THT, you confused me. First thought was what channel is UNC on, second thought is how the hell do they have 10 turnovers.
i'm usually not in hoops mode until march, and even then, it takes a back seat to hockey. I was just curious to see UNC's almost completely new team. Only 1 starter back.
OSU just takes the lead over the Buffs.
that dude could fly....
Buffs apparently didn't like being behind.
This is turning out to be a good game.
now OSU back on top of the Buffs. Good game going on in Stillwater.
Nice TD catch by the OSU receiver
but he aint...
BEASLEY!!!
Or DARVIN!
got that right, Bro Jet!
Mike Gundy may be a man, but some of his decisions have lacked some thought tonight.
Sweet dreams, Hotties! Dreams full of blessed HATE!!!
Watching the Lakers. Leaving in an hour for the midnight showing of "New Moon!" It will be a long day at work tomorrow!
We all know it starts with recruiting. I like what I am seeing and hearing.
I'm still up...this has been a helluva night.
Watching end of Green Mile, alone, in a hotel room...sniff...little farklempt.
The corridor is neither green nor a mile...discuss.
that movie was very very interesting.
If the shoe don't fit....then it ain't yo shoe.
Good morning and TGIF, Hotties!
I feel the need to share something. I don't know if you know this about me, but...
I HATE BAMA!!!!
Good morning everyone.
Reading the rivals guy's responses makes me happy to know that we seem to be on the right track, but sad that it again confirms my suspicions about how far recruiting had dropped that people didn't even fear us in recruiting.
I hear ya, WERK. It's a damn shame that Tubs did that to the program.
Good Morning, Luv, WERK, et al,
It's great to start the day off with a big bowl of HATE!. I have two work 2 shifts today. I think it's UA-T's fault. I HATE UA-T!!!!
I love AUBURN!!!
WARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!
GO TIGERS!!!
Good stuff from the Rival's guy.... Good to see a positive outside opinion.
Tar Heel, are you working a double today so you can have the day off next Friday?
Saw New Moon with 15+ UAH KDs (and a whole lot of other females) at midnight and with 3 hours of sleep, I feel surprisingly good tonight.
War Eagle!
Beat BAMA!
ehyou ... Wasn't the floor in the corridor green?
An amazing writer, that Stephen King.
Looks like recruiting is going pretty this year for AU. They may have a good crop of kids come in, and qualify. Right now, I here only one is probably not going to make it. That is a BIG improvement from the past few years.
OL and DB is a must get for this team to improve significantly in 2010 and beyond. AU loses only 1 linemen, I think, after this year, so it must be ready with wholesale replacements in 2011 and the next year is not the time to start looking for OL. AU is pursuing about 15 or so JUCO linememn. I think they would like to get 3 of them in school by January. That would be very good.
It was green and I guess the walk to the electric chair would seem like a mile when it is your last walk.
"Dead man walking. We've got a dead man walking here."
"Shut up Percy!"
-great movie. even better book.
The national recruiting rankings don't mean as much, if you are say 6th in the nation, but 5th in the SEC. 6th in the nation sounds good, 5th in the SEC means Shreveport or Nashville every bowl season.
It all depends on what you do with the talent once you get it.
I'll take a top 10 recruiting class and trust/hope the coaches that they will do more with the talent than the SEC schools ranked above them.

Written by Terry Henley
Ronnie Ross, captain of the 1970 Auburn Tigers, the receiver of the first touchdown pass from Pat Sullivan, the remarkable interception in the Alabama game in 1970, is very sick. Ronnie was diagnosed with lung cancer a few months ago. He did not want a lot of sympathy because he said it was self induced from his years of smoking. He asked that I not tell a lot of people about his sickness and I have abided by his wishes. But, time has come to tell everyone that Ronnie is in a critical stage. The end is evident and your prayers and thoughts are needed. In the last discussion I had with him a few
weeks ago he was at peace with himself and that he knew that the Lord was going to look after him. At first he did not want a lot of
prayers for himself because he felt like there were many other people who needed it more than him. That is just Ronnie looking after somebody else instead of himself. He has never been a selfish individual and always quick to rise to the challenge to help anyone in need. He is currently in intensive care at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. The cancer has now spread all over his body. The original tough guy is fighting a courageous battle but his life is in God’s hands. I would like to request that each one of you pray for Ronnie in this serious time of need.
thanks for the info on Ross Kathy. that's tough, man.
Just a week to go, we need to step the HATE up to a new level.
Luv - no, I'm working a double today for no good reason. I'm working a double next Wednesday so I can have next Friday off.
Speaking of HATE, it's time for Hatin' with Jay G.
JKev,
If you are reading in honor of what would have been Duane Allman's 63 birthday, I request some early Allman Brothers band as the bumper at some point.
Maybe some "Whipping Post" or "One Way Out".
Kathy - thank you for sharing that news about a Great Auburn Tiger.
We is hatin'!
I'm in "off week" mode ... forgot to link it.
I guess no Hatin' segment next week since it will be game day.
There's no hate like UA-T hate
Allman it is.
Thanks for the "Whipping Post".
Shout out to WERK.
Kathy.
Thank you for the news on Ross. I remember him so well. I will be praying for him and his family, may God bless them in this time of need.
"Pimpin' is easy, somehow that is also correct."
Is pimping easy?
(pause) Hell yeah.
SRV was just as good, though.
Anyone else having trouble getting the Live365 player to work?
Jay G,
I love Stevie Ray Vaughan as well, but to me Duane Allman was at a different level.
TGIF Everyone!!!!!
Sitting in the airport ready to catch a flight back to Atlanta. Pretty much ready for a relaxing weekend with little to no football watching!
Nick Saban has ringworm.
I was just thinking this morning how next week's Iron Bowl could have very easily been between two 9-2 teams. A play here or there, and AU would have beaten UK and UGA, while a play here or there could have cost Bama the UT or LSU games. Yes, I know Bama's 9-2 would still look stronger than ours, and that AU could easily be 5-7 instead of 7-5. I do wonder if people would be looking at the game differently, though, if both teams had ended up 9-2.
Kathy,
Thanks for the Ronnie Ross story. I also remember him well and the outstanding contributions he made toward the glory of our Auburn. I have already talked to our Master about Ronnie and I got a good feeling after having done so. I believe Ronnie is already in good hands and that his family will be at peace.
Except for 2005, it's been 15 years since there was an Iron Bowl matchup of two highly ranked teams.
Jay,
Thanks for your outstanding work and being there for us when we need you to bring us some news about our Auburn Tigers.
That being said, I HATE UAT with a passion that can't be described. However, my hate level, which is extreme, does not come anywhere close to the level at which I love my AUBURN. Keep hate alive. WAR EAGLE!!!
ringworm sounds so gross, but it's really just itchy
fried catfish is delicious, whether it sounds gross or not
Just don't get the side of fried ringworms.
Don't forget Tubbs was the Catfish cooking king of the world!!
I was disappointed to look on the internets after I typed the ringworm comment and find that there is actually no worm. When I was in high school, people said there was an actual worm.
The whole world of misinformation has really been turned upside down by the internets. On the one hand, by doing a little research I have found that tapioca pudding is not actually fish eyes, mascara is not made from bat poop, and many other things that were claimed to be true by friends of mine when I was younger. On the other hand, there are grown people who think Obama is a Kenyan born Muslim and a lot of other crazy stuff due to the internet. Two steps forward, one step back I suppose.
I think I will still tell my kids there is a real worm living in your skin when you get ringworm, though.
Tubs caught the small catfish and coached them up.
fried catfish sounds so yummy. i'm waiting on the wife to call me for lunch. i've got a date with some tacos in my future.
if you want a skin worm, try this
Cancel that order of fried ringworms! Dang, it's just like when you order scallops and they substitute shark. Hmmm, is the tapeworm fresh today?
Nuthin kills a thread like discussing worms at lunchtime!
It's much better to discuss worms in the late afternoon timeframe. I knew this would happen. I blame FSJ and REC.
Keep Hate Alive
big fan of the tequilla worm
Frankenbummer will officially be at the Iron Bowl.
When is the official announcement press conference?
yesterday
So, I tried on my tux yesterday, and I'm ashamed that I'm going to have to have it altered (read: let out) before I wear it again.
PF - save on the tailoring and get yourself a tapeworm. You're welcome.
Big props to JKev and co. for getting the hatin' podcast up in a timely manner today. I forgot to listen because I had real work to do, unlike most Fridays, when I pretend to work.
Norm, how fast does it work?
I don't really know. If you need it fast or there's a lot of work to do, maybe you should try two or more tapeworms.
test, I'm guessing this is going to say it's from tcruell
ok, maybe not. found that tcruell under nickname, fixed it. Sorry for the intrusion.
p.s. KEEP HATE ALIVE!!!
just got back from my mexican food lunch date with the wife. so full but it was so worth it.
looks like we're going to see the 'New Moon' movie tomorrow or sunday. i hope there aren't too many 13-15 year-old screamers behind us.
I refuse to directly spend my $ on New Moon or anything related to that series. But, hot wife will see it either by herself or with one of her friends. I'll probably see The Blind Side with hot wife and my daughter this weekend.
Elevate the HATE!
Norm, by Jan 1st i will have made it to 9 or 10 out of 13 AU games this season. 2 hours of 'New Moon' is a small price to pay. :)
HATE!!!!!!!!
Am in major league doghouse. Stewardess had a ticket available to see New Moon at the midnight premiere.
Old fogey Jet said, "I love you. It's a school night. Nope."
ouchers Jet. yup, you're dunzo in her eyes. ha.
you're soooo unreasonable, Jet
just like me.
A re_post from month ago, but apropos today ...
We live in a state that is a box. And that box has to be guarded by men and women who hate UAT. Who's gonna do it?
I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for sanity and you curse the
Hotties who hate UAT. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: That hating UAT, while distasteful, is fueled by 45 years of dealing with these knuckle-draggers every single day.
And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, defends our cause.
You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.
We use words like UAT, Bammers, Bamzos, cousin-humpers. We use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. Sadly, some of our own use 'em as a punchline.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to those who have not seen what I've seen: good Auburn people being harassed in churches, schools and offices, being passed over for jobs because they're "an Aub," and treated like second-class citizens for being an Auburn fan.
I'd prefer you just said "War Eagle" and went on your way.
Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a
weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to.
I have my weapon Brother Jet and I am ready, willing and bale to stand guard until relieved.

Did you order the code orange?
YOU'RE GOSH-DARN RIGHT I DID!!!!
Scottie - I guess that's a valid point for someone your age who probably hasn't been married all that long. As for me, my hot wife knows better than to ask me to attend that with her. Sure, we each make our sacrifices and compromises but we also know there are some lines which are not to be crossed. Like brocoli, she knows better than to try to sneak that vile weed into anything I'm eating.
Jet - you are SO hosed. I'm just not sure there's a recovery from this until you walk her down the aisle. And even that's questionable, not that the event will happen but questionable as to whether she'll have forgotten and forgiven. These women-folk have long memories. I often wish that weren't true but my wishing does not make it so.
Good thing they have long memories, or they might forget and accidentally slip you brocolli.
Al-Qaeda hate (or however you spell it)
Ahhhh....my work week is over! Since there is no game tomorrow, I can relax!
Jet, your daughter will forgive you. It won't be this year, but she will.
BTW...I HATE UAT!!!!
17 (officially, maybe more, maybe less) hours of work ,and two turkey dinners later, I'll be on my way to Auburn to deliver some in-person hate! WDE!
Jet,
You know that hand-me-down vehicle you gave the stewardess? Replace it with a shiny black BMW and all will be forgiven...not sure if it's worth it or not, but I hear the wrath of a teenage girl can be brutal.
Give me an H.
Give me an A!
Give me a T!
Give me an E!
What's that spell?
What've you got?
What do we feel [for UA-T and REC]?
UAT cheats at recruiting.
HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
michael, please, we're doing a cheer here.
Dang it, MJT! I don't mess with your live-blog of the live-blog, so don't mess with PF's and my cheer! Oh, wait a minute...I do mess with your live-blog of the live-blog...never mind.
well, the mojo's gone...we can try again later.
I just can't believe you guys would have the nerve to start a cheer knowing full well that my 3:25 UAT Recruiting Round-up was coming up. Show some class, fellas.
Okay, U.S. is gonna say "Hate" and Eurasia is gonna say "UAT". Ready? Count off!
1.2.3
HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pssstt. michael, you're the only Eurasian here. represent.
Come on, Eurasia!
Eurasia has probably already responded, but the distance is causing a lag.
yeah, I see their pom-poms moving, but haven't heard their voices yet. I'm sure it's coming.
Maybe they're afraid that their response will be lost in all the excitement of the upcoming page turn.
Probably. Let's go ahead and respond again. It'll sound a little funny to us to hear HATE twice in a row, but over in Eurasia, it'll be fine.
But first, since we have now become male cheerleaders, I'd say we are authorized to do some flipping...
HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New Page Hate!
