First post: Monday of Week Seven
Hey everyone. Thanks for your patience yesterday. Some displeasing air travel took me out of commission for long periods of time and created fatigue I typically don't battle on Sunday nights. I wanted to do a video. It just wasn't meant to be.
You can read below my story about Antonio Coleman that appeared in today's editions. I'll say right here, as I did in the comments section, that I don't believe Coleman is upset about team chemistry. He's upset about registering zero tackles during the past two games. He wants to be a bigger asset and he's not sure about how to do that.
So he's planning to speak with Chizik about it.
Here's the Auburn situation at this moment:

Public schools are closed for the big COLUMBUS DAY event -- was he worth a real holiday? -- so I'm chillin' at the house with The Daughter. I'm not planning to do much with the HABOTN today, though you never know when I'll break out a post examining Kentucky.
Here's what the next few days look like. All times are CDT:

Tue., Oct. 13, 4:30 p.m. (Chizik presser at 11:30 a.m.; some players available around noon.)
Wed., Oct. 14, 4:30 p.m.
Thu., Oct. 15, 4:30 p.m. (Tiger Talk at 7 p.m.)

Sat., Oct. 17, vs. Kentucky, 6:30 p.m. (ESPNU)
Sun., Oct. 18, 5 p.m.
Mon., Oct. 19, OFF
Tue., Oct. 20, 4:30 p.m. (Chizik presser at 11:30 a.m.; some players available around noon.)

Jay G,
Hartline being out: Advantage or disadvantage for Auburn?
You didn't ask me but, advantage, it takes their best QB and best WR out of their respective positions.
Jay G., thanks for the note about AC and his point on this.
My question is this: shouldn't he start that with Tracy Rocker, then Ted Roof, then Chizik? Or has that already happened?
Just wondering.
Nice substance, RK.
Yeah, nice substance for a closet Bammer.
I keed.
As long as we don't have to get a different QB DURING the game, I think it is an advantage. Of course this is basing it on last year's group so that may be invalid now too.
RK- Had no idea about Rhea losing that many starters and getting bumped to 6A like that. That's a huge jump.
Despite fromm 11am-3pm on Saturday, I had a blast in Fayetteville. Fans couldn't have been better to us and their city and campus were nicer than i expected
HARRY ADAMS!
Harrison- The diggs aren't too bad of a place to watch football at either is it?
no. the stadium is nice, new and clean. Wasn't overly loud, but an 11am game will do that
When you are funded by Wal Mart and Tyson Chicken you can usually make a stadium look pretty nice.
I had hoped we would not have this type game with this coaching staff and all the chemistry we had shown. But it happens and now they must show that they can suck it up and go forward and have a better year than anyone gave them a snowballs chance in hell of having.
We shall see.
Thanks Jay, I feel better about what AC is doing after reading your entire story in this morning's paper. I was a bit off in my thinking of what might be going on just from reading your comments in last night's thread. I can see that your analysis is more than likely spot on.
Jay, I am also glad that you will not have quite as busy day today. Take it as easy as you can and spend all the time that you can with your family. You do good work.
Yeah, the article and Jay G's comments puts the Coleman stuff more in context. At first look it didn't seem like it was a good thing, glad there was more clarification.
I think it's very interesting how people get really testy after a loss like we had this past weekend. Oh trust me I was giving the Ricky rant a run for its money, then I came back to earth. Took a while. But all is well.
Advantage, for sure.
@mytommyd
HORSE****!!
Thank ya weagle!
HEY!
I didn't take AC's comments to have signified anything wrong with team unity, by the way. I was just commenting on how rosy everything is before a loss. It is obvious Coleman has been thinking there were some issues prior to losing, but now that the loss came it boiled over and ended up in print.
If I know Chiz (and I don't) I am thinking he is pretty annoyed that Coleman announced he would have a meeting with the head coach to try to sort some stuff out. Why tell reporters you are going to do that?
So anyone think we will see AC at linebacker this week?
Anyone else noticing the similarities between Senderrick Marks' 2008 season and AC's 2009 season? Seems like it is the kiss of death for an Auburn D lineman to be talked about all during the preseason. Maybe it has to do with being the focus of the other team's blocking schemes.
Harrison ...
I concur wholeheartedly. Very nice town. Nice places to eat and meet. The people were very classy all the way throughout.
Michael ...
I concur wholeheartedly. Can't imagine Chiz is excited that AC is making statements about wanting to meet with the coach. Frustrated with lack of tackles? That's fair enough.
Coleman has shown me something that other previous DE's we have had in that Coleman seems to want to learn to play the run instead of just rush the QB the whole time.
A fan is someone who has an intense, occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for a sporting club. That's me, just a fan. I don't play the game. I leave that up to 18-21 yr olds who work hard all year long in preparation. They do not go out on Saturdays to intentionally lose any game. Now they have to shake that loss off and prepare for another SEC foe. Let us do the same. Let's shake off this loss and move on to Kentucky. It's game week folks. War Eagle!!!
You guys need to quit complimenting Fayetteville. It is unbecoming of you. Just lie and say its another Starkville.
I mentioned that in the previous thread that it's probably not good if he is going above his position coach, his coordinator straight to his HC and it's probably even worse that he took those thoughts to the media...no matter how well intended his actions are.
But how do we know he's gone above the rest of them, that's just speculation.
I love Coleman. I would call him a true Auburn Man if I didn't think it was cheesy. I can't imagine playing on the d line with a hurt wrist. I hope he turns his season around.
Who think's coleman will be off the available players list for interviews in the future?
All he mentioned was Chizik, Sean, so it at least appears he is going over the other coaches. It is probably not true, I am sure the other coaches are involved, but for a coach like Chizik who very much cares about appearance, his statements must be annoying.
I don't think he will be disciplined or anything, I just think Chiz will be like "Cool out and just come to me next time without telling the reporters, k?"
haha, good call Eddie.
I think he is going to the HC as a team leader and not specifically as a DE. If this is the case, I don't see it as an issue, him going to the HC.
Just checking in. Have we stopped Mallett yet?
Sean,
That's why I said "if".
i watched the Coleman clip from Goldberg and it doesn't seem like that big of a story. he just wants to talk to the Chiz. what's wrong with saying that?
No, Mallett just scored again a minute ago.
How great is it that he is a sophomore? Leave early, Mallett! Leave early!!!!!
WERK, I've got my eye on you. You and your ifs.
WERK is a bammer!!!
Scottie,
I think the other questions could be "why say that to the media, why not just go to the coach?"
RK...was just wondering if you were going to issue an open apology, since you readily issued open and wrong criticism without giving your team any benefit of the doubt or waiting to make sure that you had the whole story.
Impetuous is infantile.
Burn him, he's a Bammer...wait. No, something is wrong...let me fix this.
Sensi picked us to lose and that's why we didn't play well. It's Sensi's fault. Burn him, he's the real Bammer!
No idea what you are talking about Hoopie.
It's Kristina's fault. 100%. No doubt about it.
Yeah, I think Kristina and Sensi definitely share the blame here. Maybe 40% of this loss is on each of them. 1% is on Todd, 1% is on Jay G Tate, .2% is on Jay's cousin Ben G Tate, and 12% is on Hoopie, and 12% is on rk. Also, the rest of the Hotties are responsible for about 13%. I am responsible for 0%. It is fans like me that make winning possible.
Jay G ...
The genesis of the kids having Columbus Day off was that the teachers were required to have two in-service days during the year, and this one always coincided with the Fair ... it was called "Fair Day" here, and Columbus Day is a state-federal holiday.
Michael - winner we can believe in.
Call ACORN
So if all other Hotties share 13 percent that means that I'm only like .06 percent responsible. I can deal with that.
Why is Columbus so famous? The vikings discovered N America before him. He didn't prove the world was round. I think we should call it Eric the Red Day.
Take back Columbus Day! DWWD!
Am I responsible for my 12% prior to the game or just my horrible reaction after the fact?
Wow maybe the Broncos should take septic tank baths before EVERY game.
It's interesting that the Vikings "discovered America." There were already peeps here chillin'.
I'll have to take some responsibility for the loss. I watched the game on the same tv and with the same people that I did last year's IB. Those are the only two times for that combination. It won't happen again. My wife thinks this is one of the most stupid things she's ever heard. She just doesn't understand football!
I think I'm going to create my own flag walk over into my neighbors yard and proclaim their land as mine.
Then I get my own holiday, right?
rk, I think your postgame reaction, which I have not personally read, probably had a lot to do with the loss. Maybe 8%. The other 7% came prior to the game to give you a total of 12%.
I take no responsibility for as I neither coached nor played in the game.
I picked based on information I read, assumptions I made, and games I watched.
Yeah Sean, peops were chilling here, but they weren't making that many babies and didn't have banks. You can't really name a day after those sorts of people.
That's some fuzzy math, however I'll accept responsibility since I was in Bammerham while the game was going on watching it from the Downtown Hyatt instead of watching the game at any usual location.
Sensi, don't try to shirk your responsibility.
Sensi, you're the one who has to live with guilt. You know what you did.
Previously posted on last thread:
Charlie Trottman spoke some plain truth this morning about the game. Syas the front 7 (including LBs) played the worst game he has seen in a long time at AU. The smith kid (RB) beat all 7 to the corner and still turned it upfield for yardage. Pitiful play there.
I concur.
RK, make sure you get video of you claiming your neighbor's land in the name of the HABOTN! that would make for a youtube top 10.
I carry my burdens. No complaints here.
I think Michael Smith has 75% of his career yards against us the past two years.
He's like the modern day Fred Talley.
If the personnel in our front 7 doesn't have a different look to it for this game I will be very unhappy.
Sean,
They will have a different look. I give my 100% guarantee.
They will be wearing blue jerseys.
ED KING!
It's always tough to lose that first game and I am not a good loser especially right after the game. These kids and coaches have all done this before and after a day or two will get back to work and do the best they can to correct those things that can be. Those things they have no control over will still be there. Now is the time to pull together and get ready for Kentucky.
Rk..you jumped all over AC last night and most of what you jumped him about was an incorrect assumption on your part because it was based on JGTs initial post.
Don't bother to defend yourself by saying that you were just responding to the initial info that JGT had put out. If you really cared you would wait to get the whole story before condemning.
Impetuous is infantile.

Well said, WERK. My fears have been put to rest.
Welcome to your tour of AL.COM forums.
Here is the HABOTN wing. Once a place where fans could discuss opinions, divergent and supportive, it soon feel into the cesspool that is Internet sports forums.
Well since Hoopie has dictated that I'm not allowed to defend myself, I guess I should just say nothing. I won't, but I should since he has some kind of power over what we say apparently.
However your definition of "jumped all over" and mine are a little different.
I read the comments and posted my opinion that from what I read and I even said I wasn't sure if this was good or not. Go back and look, or just overreact like apparently I did then you did to my overreaction. It's a trend, huh?
Then you can also look that once it was clarified that it made more sense.
Oh wait, you told me I couldn't use that as a defense.
I guess I forgot I needed to post following your rules that haven't been sent out to everyone else.
"If I really cared"
That's funny.
Hoopie, I am looking at last nights posts... I can't find one where he trashes AC. The only questionable comment I see is this:
"Looks like AC doesn't care about the "student" part of "student-athlete"."
I agree that is a little bit out of line, but it is not like all the other stuff was out of the norm acidic or anything.
Sensi,
You know that once you lose a game, opinions that used to be tolerated are suddenly not allowed because everyone's emotions are raw.
Seriously, it's like I came back from a weekend away and this place is something different where you aren't allowed to have opinions that differ from some people.
Yeah, it's gettin' a little snippy in here. (That still doesn't excuse picking against AU, though!)
By the way, Hoopie, how does one know exactly when one has the "whole" story?
So much for all the interviews I was doing that talked about all the HABOTN unity we had. See! Unity is often a product of winning! My thesis is proved!
It just proves what rival fans say about us Auburn fans - that we can't take criticism and lean a bit to the paranoid side.
*Sigh...it is what it is, I suppose.
Hoopie, you called out this post in particular last night:
"Someone tell AC to tell Chiz that apparently if you throw the ball just a little bit over Neiko Thorpe it means big yardage.
Also, tell him that pursuit angels need some work."
I thought that was pretty funny. If we can't make lighthearted jokes about a loss, then are we any better than bammers?
Everyone needs to follow Arnold's advice in Batman and Robin and CHIIIILLLL!
"Looks like AC doesn't care about the "student" part of "student-athlete".
If that's true, he wouldn't be the only one. I can assure you of that.
I'll take the .06% blame because I wasn't wearing the right game day shirt, and by the time I put it on, it was too late. By the time I stopped watching the game, the team was then allowed to start playing well, but it was also too late to have an effect. Sorry about that gang.
The new prototype helmet is now 5-1.
i think it was JG, but someone asked him about being graded on his assignments and what he thought about them. AC responded that Coach Rock didn't care about 'grades' in the game film. he then made the comment you can go to Haley Center if you care about grades. if he would've said it in a joking manner it would've been pretty funny. however, he said it plainly b/c he wasn't in a super-peppy mood.
i think it has been taken out of context. go to Goldberg's blog & watch the video.
MTD, interestingly enough, my new blue AU shirt has the same record as your helmet. I did put it on in time, but as mentioned previously, I watched the game on the wrong tv with the wrong mix of people.
Paranoid Sensi?!?! Whattya mean paranoid?!?! You talkin about me being paranoid?!? I can't imagine why you would say that?!? I'm not paranoid. Certainly that comment couldn't have been aimed at me. Right?!? I mean I'm not. Just ask me.
You can't watch with the wrong people Scott - you get .06 too.
When the blog police leave, someone email me and can start reading your very interesting posts. I'm going to AL.com where they don't jump all over each other just because someone has a diferent take on something.
BEASLEY!
OK guys, now enough of this "Boohoo we have become like AL.com" posts. Have you read AL.com recently? There are about 4 people here discussing a disagreement civilly. I mean, Have you read AL.com?? YOU GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF BAMMER IDIOTS!!!!
Geez, we HOTTIEs got along better after LAST year's Arky game - when there was a lot more about which to be unhappy.
Notice how I avoided ending that last sentence with a preposition? Good, eh?
WTC, if you leave and AU loses to Kentucky, it will be all your fault. Not to mention that I don't like your take on people having different takes. ;)
I do not regret anything that I have posted. It's a message board and those were my thoughts at the time. Some truth sprinkled with sarcasm.
I do however regret how it seems a couple of people have reacted to what I posted and it's effect on the blog today.
Mmmm, sarcasm sprinkles.
rk, that's the sort of apology my wife gets really angry at me for (notice I leave the preposition hanging because I am AWESOME!). Well done!
preposition humor....only on the HABOTN. nice.
Not many places where you can get preposition humor ........ at.
Weak.
We couldn't have Tiger Walk; hence, the players were not motivated and energized. Definitely will be there this week!
good point Kathy! it's b/c we couldn't have Tiger Walk! well heck, we shouldn't lose the rest of the season now. whew! i knew there was a logical explanation. :)
What is the deal with the sudden change in road Tiger Walks?
No Kathy. It was because Peterno saw Thorpe unable to defend against pass, and that's why they kept throwing his way and won the game. And Antonio Coleman, he just doesn't care about the 'Student' part of Student Athlete. And Zeimba is ill-disciplined, and habitual of drawing penalties.
Truth. lol.
I agree with Kathy. The players were probably thinking "What is the point of even playing without a Tiger Walk?"
Aero,
Now you are just being silly. I'm not even going there.
Hope you have a good day.
There needs to be some retribution for taking away Tiger Walk on the road for these teams. Like maybe take away running water from the visitors locker room the next time UT or Arkansas comes and visits. After all, the whole tradition of using an indoor toilet could be seen by some as dangerous.
I love Habotn.
BTW, I think we were much nicer after the Arkansas loss last year because that unified us for a change of leadership at the top :)!!!!!!! Well, Steve never jumped on board or off board...hell, I don't even know the way Steve travels :)!!!!!
On a lighter note. I thought we were all gonna die on our plane ride out to Arkansas
You should have flown the helicopter I built you, Harrison.
Terrorists, Harrison?!
one of the rotors fell off Michael and I didn't have time to replace it
Flying through that line of storms. I don't like to fly anyway, and it was some rough travel
Harrison, did you know that 1 out of every 14 plane flights ends in a crash?
in my head every plane i get on is going to crash
Michael, I think we should just eliminate plane flights into Auburn for teams that won't let us have Tiger Walk. We should also stop the rivals bus at the Lee County line and make them walk to the stadium from their. They could have a 15 mile Vol Walk. They wouldn't need to warm up then.
Yeah, and maybe we could burn their houses down too. Or is that over the line?
Can we fly the missing man formation for Gabe McKenzie?
Wonder what the team works on in defensive practice this week?
Michael,
It depends on the opponent and who won the year before.
Can we have a HABOTN: The Bammers clique? We can get jackets and come up with a baddass logo. Sensi, you get to be captain. WERK, you're obviously No. 2.
I've caught up on my HABOTN reading after a con-call and some lunch. For a bunch of namby-pamby, sissies, buffoons and dolts, you people make me laugh.
And, fwiw - I had my proper game day shirt on, watched it on my regular (and most excellent) tv, nothing about my routine changed. So, I'm not taking the blame for this one. Not even .06 of it. Nope, not I. You can't make me. You just can't. I triple dog dare you to try.
Norm, get on the bus man. .06 percent. It's time to be accountable. Surely you did something to contribute.
Discord on the HABOTN. Its a challenge for me to maintain my sunny disposition under such circumstances.
I think I will just contribute something to the coaching criticism while so many are still mad about something.
Why was Kodi in at QB on the 3rd play of the game on 3rd and long? ARK had to know that he wasn't going to throw the ball down the field. It had to be either a run or a screen. I didn't understand that play at all. It kinda set the tone for the game.
Anybody got a guess as to what they were trying to do?
Is Todd hurt? Watching on tv, his passes seemed to lack the velocity they've had earlier. Did anybody at the game notice that, or is it my imagination?
Good save by Sensi to deflect criticism by predicting us to beat KY on Monday.
I think Norm not switching up his routine might have been the problem. He seems to be the only one who didn't. Maybe he was just out of sinc with the rest of us by not changing things up.
Hey,
Just blame it on the old man. I am 70, I am man, I can take it. I wasn't around on HABOTN last year at this time, so it's my fault that everyone is a little testy after the loss this year. You better kick the old man while you can, I might have a heart attack, trip and fall and break some bones or just plain wither away.
At least we are not uga.
Norm, I didn't want to say anything, but your part was more like .07%. Search your heart, you know it to be true.
coosa - I am not too worried about Todd's arm strength. On his worst throw of the day, he overthrew Zachery by 7 yards on a bomb. Could he have done that last year? Just chalk it up to a bad game. He'll bounce back.
Yeah, it's IV's fault. I can go with that. It's probably his fault too that ATL is gonna flood again this week. Old people. Sheesh.
That last sentence of mine wasn't very clear - I meant that it was smart of Sensi to come out on Monday morning and predict an AU win on Saturday.
I'm not sure where my mind is at.
But, hopefully, you all understand what I'm striving for.
And that is clear communication in any situation I may find myself in.
Aero is right - we have moved up in the world. Last year we had to say, "At least we are not Michigan". UGA's success this season is a step up from Michigan's last year. Progress!
Pardon me while I take a nap.
Everyone try to keep it down. IV is napping.
Norm,
You Jawjahns had better be saving some of that flood water, the judge done said you got to share the hootchie with us and Flawrida.
Thanx Michael, you always look after Tim don't you?
Georgia will just go claim chattanooga and the TN river to get water :).
Somebody else mentioned Todd's arm strength to me, but it looked fine from what I could see on TV.
Eddie,
Georgia has already made attempts at that as I'm sure you know.
I didn't notice any difference in Todd's arm strength, just that he didn't have the time that he had in previous weeks and that when he did have time our receivers were well covered.
Apparently according to Ark's D-coordinator after viewing film last week, we had a lot of trends that tipped what plays we were going to run in certain situations.
Funny how Ark's D-coordinator noticed that on film but Monty Kiffin didn't. Not sure I buy that one.
RK..So in your world...it's OK for you to call out a player on a team that you "support" with impetuous cynism, but when someone calls you out for doing so, they're "exerting power over your comments"?
I originally asked if you were going to apologize for your impetuous cynicism. You have been so busy getting your feelings hurt and trying to diffuse that issue, you never answered that question.
I'll take a shot at some of your impetuous cynicism.. You sure are thin-skinned...why does it even bother you. After all..these are only comments..right? I mean you're willing to spit at players without compunction, but someone asks you about it and you employ the double standard that it's OK for you to spit at others, but not for them to challenge you because they are limiting comments? That logic sounds like an impetuous poorly thought out response....OK.... get the idea?
Hoop.
I think you've made your point. I don't know if he's going to retract / apologize or just resort to calling you silly, but I hope he will be a tad watchful in future.
i don't like any of you now.

Hoopie,
In my world this is a blog where we can make comments and have fun. Both of us are included in that strange weird world.
Actually my apology was in here earlier as I told everyone I regreted that my comments have caused the reactions they have caused. Who would I owe an apology to anyway? Jay G since it's his blog?
You posted questions and comments for me and I responded. Then you call me thin skinned for responding. I assure you my feelings aren't hurt. I'm not thin skinned at all. You called me out for posting something you didn't like, I responded, you responded, I responded...it is a trend. Funny how you question my loyalties and call me thin skinned, but all I have done is answer what you have asked and done it without calling you names.
Yeah, I get the idea of a poorly thought out response, I've read a few today.
Aero,
I didn't call you silly, I called your response to Kathy's post silly. She isn't a part of your apparent issue with what I posted. She was talking about Tiger Walk and you had to drop the items that you seem to dislike that I've brought up over the past month. That was silly.
Watchful of what? Should I step on egg shells on here because two people apparently disagree with my observations?
Drama. But not the funny kind...
Scottie,
I can't imagine ESPN taking Florida/Miss State for their main network over Auburn/LSU.
Hoopie,
Did you get some bad news in the mail?
Did the people at the drive-thru mess up your order?
What gives?
Sorry Big Snacks. I never want to let you down. I feel like I have.
I haven't seen anything unreasonable posted in the comments section.
Some HOTTIES are more critical than others. Some have a dry sense of humor that maybe doesn't flow as well in written form.
Either way, everyone here (aside from FSJ) is bound by their interest in and affinity for Auburn. People express that in different ways.
One HABOTN.
I'd rather not see any nastiness lobbed across the room.
If you get upset, it's COO to say something ... but remember that other person is an Auburn fan as well. There are no hidden agendas. Just people talkin' it out.
Done
"ONE AUBURN....let's get together and feel alright."
And well posted, Jay G.
Again, I do regret the reactions some of my comments have caused today. It wasn't my intention, that I promise all the great people of the HABOTN.
COW COLLEGE AND PROUD OF IT!!!!!
Eddie,
I don't regret any of the responses that I get to saying that shirt is still horrible.
What am I going to do with all this RTR gear I have now?
This comment has been removed by the author.
darn right you let me down, RK. Don't let it happen again, or there will be seriousness. And seriousness sucks.
Big Snacks, I see that I let you down twice.
That deeply saddens me.
I feel GOOD!!!! I knew that I would. WAR EAGLE!!!!
RK- I agree. The shirt still sucks and my boycott of Tiger Rags continues this until next football season. I still love ya man. Keep posting!
Technical error. Don't be sad.
Eddie,
I'm not going anywhere. HABOTN 4 Life!
I feel NICE!!! Sugar and spice!!! So good, so good, I need YOU!!! WAR EAGLE.
Eddie, they did a super cool DWWD shirt. That should at least cancel the cow college shirt.
IV,
I feel good, too! Your nap over already? I'm thinking of taking one - it is so rainy and gloomy. I think I will dream of Auburn victories!
The Cow College shirt would be like the creating an "Auburn: Paranoid" shirt and marketing it.
I never got my nap Cincy. It was to noisy in here. Micheal tried to help me but it didn't work. Snort, sniffle, snort, snore.
Peter- Tiger Rags can't cancel the Cow College shirt with the DWWD shirt alone, it will take about 4 more at least....but given their status, i'm sure they will aim to please. I'm just surprised there wasn't a Mississippi State Score Shirt.
And, Jay, great article on AC. I think it does a good job of explaining what he was trying to say. Hope you get to enjoy a little down time today.
I tried to use the mommy tack to make everyone behave - didn't work. Next step is to threaten 'em with a apple tree switch like my grandma did. :)
Where is THT today? It is not like him to be this silent on Mondays.
Just wanted to drop by and let you know that Byrum injured his left foot/ankle, to what extent I haven't heard.
Auburn: Emo without the piercings
That's not good, Byrum has been exceptional so far this year.
Oh, no! I hope he is not hurt badly, we need him! He's the only part that played well on Saturday.
So, someone help me here. Am I understand that the tar and feathers for Sensi are now to be used on WERK? Man, why am I always the last to know?
The above comment will go unnoticed by some.
Cincy,
My mom was never that selective when it came to switches. She just grabbed one from the closest bush, tree or shrub, it didn't have to be an apple switch. She didn't threaten with it either. It was switch now, ask questions later.
Sensi, Auburn: Emo without the piercings. That's front page quality right there. I officially nominate it for the lead quote!
I think I was on the receiving end of a few of those, too, IV!
Steve,
I thought that Sensi was taking too much heat, so I thought I'd distract from the flogging that he is due for awhile.
Ah, I understand WERK. Personally, I have been puckering up to do some Sensi butt kissing myself. Sensi, I was wrong. You were right. I'm not worthy.
Steve- I would tar and feather Sensi, but apparently he stole the tar and feathers and i'm running for my life right now.
Thanks, RK.
My blood pressure is apparently "too high" to donate blood. I learned this today as I registered a 152/110. Guess that's not good.
A standard item in my mom's purse when going to church was a ruler. If I didn't sit still and listen to the preacher, it was out to the car right in the middle of service and she measured my back side with the ruler more than one time.
They asked me if I was "stressed."
I laughed as I walked from the trailer.
Steve,
You have no idea how much I wish I was wrong last weekend.
Byrum out would not be a good thing. He's been very good this year.
When did Byrum get hurt? He was at the Auburn Oyster Bar with the other kickers yesterday and didn't appear to be hurt, at least I didn't notice anything other than the wheelchair he was rollin' in.
Sensi,
With that BP reading, I would be making a doctor's appointment.
Sensi,
Good luck getting the BP down. I've only been told once that I had high BP by a doctor and just him telling me that shot my BP up higher. That wasn't cool.
Sensi just figured third times the charm on picking against Auburn.
Boom!
At my age, the 152 isn't that uncommon; however, the resting heart rate over a 100 is something to take notice of. Mine usually stays between 80 and 90.
For all the discord in here the past couple of days:
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Lean on me...
I personally would have busted out an EMOish version of Stand By Me...but that's a generational thing.
Sensi would have been proud.
As for Saturday, there's plenty too be displeased about. We were flat, we didn't execute, we're a flawed team, but we can overcome those flaws if we play well. We didn't play well. It happens. Miami loses to Virginia Tech one week 31-7 and then beats Oklahoma the next. Oregon looks just god awful against Boise St. one week and a month later they're the best team in the Pac-10. That's college fooball. Ya move on.
Well said E-bro. I'm all about it. Baby, can you dig your man? I can. I love me some Auburn.
Switches of any/all variety, belts, the bottomside of rubber-soled slippers, hands, the paddle portion of the game w/the rubber ball attached to a rubber strand attached to the paddle, wooden mixing spoons, you name it. All were used to tan my backside at one time or another. Ah, good times.
E-bro,
I agree, you never know what team you'll get from week to week.
I'm still saying we'll finish the 2nd half of the season 4-2 or 5-1.
Sean, I'm 27. Don't think it's a generational thing.
Think it's a "I'm a dork" thing. So it goes.
I don't care if we end up at the Pizza or the Chikin Bowl, either way, it's the post season and there's decent food.
Now if we end at that tire bowl...that will be a let down.
I got whipped with a belt in the middle of Sears at Northgate Mall when I was 5 years old. I don't remember a thing in my life before that day.
Wow E-Bro, I made some big assupmtions there. Apologies. Your song is good too.
