Auburn report, pre-USC
Hey everyone. Been a few days. We're finally getting into a meaningful stretch of the season. I'm glad for that. Buffalo talk is lame.
UPDATE:A couple readers emailed to ask about Kenny Irons. He is NOT injured. I'm watching him warm up right now (6:08 p.m. cdt) with the first-team offense.
--------------
We're here in Columbia, S.C., and this stadium certainly is interesting. It looks like the death star from the outside. Lots of concrete. Monotonous concrete towers. Inside, it looks like an upgraded version of MSU's joint. The high-rise lights over the east and west (long side) decks give the stadium a unique look.
It's situated in the fairgrounds. So there are little gondola things that run through the parking lot. Weird. Parking is OK. Traffic is not.
By the way ... this is SEC stadium No. 12 for me. I now have seen them all.
So let's rank:
1.) Auburn. Very accessible. Looks great from the outside now. Great concourses.
2.) Florida. Windy. Great atmopshere outside the stadium.
3.) LSU. I love the night-time mist. And all the drunk people.
4.) Arkansas. What happens when people raise a LOT of money for upgrades.
5.) Alabama. Looks like people take pride it in. Clean and sharp.
6.) Ole Miss. The Grove makes it great.
7.) Georgia. I like how it's in a hole. Seems old inside.
8.) Tennessee. Huge but ugly.
9.) South Carolina.
10.) Kentucky. Better than it used to be.
11.) Vanderbilt. Clean.
12.) Mississippi State.
